Dolsot bibimbap which it is not

Woah! What happened to this place? My review is for the Korean restaurant in the back corner. I ordered the bulgogi bibimbap and it is not bibimbap. It's literally small pieces of bulgogi mixed with shredded cabbage and two or three pieces of carrots and zucchini. I'm actually horrified that they can ethically package this as dolsot bibimbap. Where's the veggies? Where's the egg? I added the mushroom soondooboo jjigae and it literally had two pieces of mushroom. Horrible.

    BBQ Bulgogi from Ondubu

Market Eatery is a unique place because it is located in the H Mart and has several different food options. I went to one called Ondubu and got the BBQ Bulgogi. It came with a large plate of bulgogi and small plates of rice, radish, tofu, and salad. The bulgogi was good, as it typically is- easy to chew and cooked well. The price is $17, which is not cheap though. The service speed is pretty quick. They announce the order numbers over the loudspeaker. There is a decent amount of seating, though the seats can fill up at peak hours. I thought the decor of this area was nice. Overall, I would recommend going to one of the places at Market Eatery if you are interested in Korean food. If you are in need of purchasing groceries from H Mart, that is a big plus for going here, since it is conveniently located within the store.

I absolutely love this little food court! If you are a fan of Korean food and Asian fusion, this is the spot for you! There currently 4 restaurants here that you order from (and of course you can mix and match items from all depending on what you are in the mood for). Two of the spots, OnDubu and Sang's Kitchen which are mostly your traditional Korean foods such as Bibimbap, Sundubu, etc. There is also Koko Chicken which has delicious fried chicken. And finally, Big Bowls Little Plates which is more of a fusion spot. They're all great and have their merits. You order and take a seat and your number is called with the food is ready. Easy as that!

I have gone to heaven finding out about this food court!! It's located in the new H mart on rt 17 in Paramus next to DSW. On my first trip, I decided to order pork tofu soup, mild spice. It was reasonably priced and came with three mini side dishes of radishes, some sort of potato salad, and some other sort of veggie. All delicious! You order from one of the vendors, they give u a number and u watch out for your number to be called. My friend and I snagged two seats quick since there were so many people around. It's like cafeteria style seating. We watched in awe of everyone's dishes from all the different vendors. I can't wait to come back and try the Korean chicken. Of course we walked around the Hmart for samples as well. They have a great selection of different Asian cuisine! Great addition to the neighborhood.

Small but mighty food court. I love trying something new each time I'm here. I had soy garlic chicken from the chicken place on my most recent trip and I highly recommend it. Some of the prices can be pricey but they all have different costs to range from.

A typical food market located inside hmart. There are five different shops, and most of them serve Korean food. This was a contrast to the hmart in Edison that is closer to where I live, which has more Chinese and Japanese stores, and has a Tous Le Jours inside.

Legit Chinese/Taiwainese noodle soup at the mall? For real? YES, FOR REAL…read more Having lived in NYC for many decades, I was very spoiled by my seemingly "next door" access to authentic Chinese/Taiwanese food and, more specifically, noodle soups. On those cold, wintry days, it was my go-to entree and not much can substitute for those hot, tasty broths, noodles and meats. Anyway, for the size of this state, possibly the best Chinese noodle soup served in town might very well be at the mall! Yes, it's going to be a dollar or two overpriced, but beggars absolutely cannot be choosers. Most customers at the mall come here really just for the Americanized Chinese food that is generously served here in gargantuan, fully packed takeout boxes - fried rice, noodles, orange chicken, kung pao chicken, chicken w/ broccoli, barbecue chicken, General Tso's chicken, etc., etc., etc. However, no offense to Yong Kang Street, but, I wasn't here for any of that greasy food because, honestly, you can get that ANYWHERE. We ended up ordering the Roast Duck Noodle Soup and Wonton Noodle Soup, both of which were actually made to order as I watched the lady put the super duper hot bowl together. The bowl was actually so hot that even 1.5 hours after I got home, the soupy bowl was still piping hot! Anyhow, the noodle soup was surprisingly delicious. The noodles were a bit soft, but the broth was very flavorful without being overly salty. There was some Chinese Broccoli and chopped up scallions in the noodle soups and they really added to the flavor of the entree. The meats were also very good. As we were eating, my question was - where does this place find their duck?!? Because it was pretty good duck meat. We also loved their pork wontons as well. Typically, the wontons served with noodle soups are made with pork and shrimp, but it was just pork here...and, well, it worked! The wontons were very delicious and well put together. Never would I have thought a small mall vendor would serve some of the best noodle soup in the area, but Yong Kang does. Goes to show you that you never know where good food might be hiding, so always give new places a try. As for us, we DEFINITELY found our new noodle soup go to spot.

While many mainstay stores have left, they have a few stores still that could make it worth a visit: uniglo, stew Leonard's, LL Bean, etc. The food court upstairs has far fewer options now. The one thing I've always liked about this mall was that it was easy to navigate and hard to get lost in, unlike its sister the Garden State Plaza mall. Plus parking is super easy in comparison as well because of far fewer patrons. Management also seems to have kept up with the mall's maintenance and decor even with fewer tenants. No tax on most clothes and shoes in NJ so that's always a plus! You won't likely find everything you need here but if that's not an issue, not a bad mall at all.

Today was the day: I was going to go into the beyond, and see the rest of what Paramus Park had to offer. And to be honest, it offered very little. As I ventured through the entire Mall, in maybe took me 15-20 minutes in a relatively comfortable pace, and it SEEMS 1/2 open businesses, and 1/2 shuttered-closed businesses. I like a quiet mall. I avoid malls on weekends for this reason, but this wasn't just quiet, it was strangely quiet. I've just experienced a mall past it's prime. Odd. I would've loved to see it in it's glory. There were more people in Stew Leanords (probably) then the entire mall put-together. Thank god for that supermarket to choose Paramus Park for its location! In any case --- it's a decent visit in the "land of malls".

We ordered the Beef Stew entree and Chicken Legs with Steamed Broccoli and there was nothing really spectacular about the entrees, but we DEFINITELY got our money's worth with the size of them. As expected, the Beef Stew was a bit on the drier side, but there was A LOT of rice and beans in the dish. Unfortunately, there weren't enough maduros. As for the Chicken Legs with Steamed Broccoli, it was as bland as it sounds. The broccoli had some vinegar on it, thankfully, so it gave it some flavor, although my wife wasn't a fan of it. I haven't been to the other locations but have had Cuban food before. So we haven't tried out all of the menu items, but from what we've ordered so far, Cuban Eddie's is pretty good - especially for operating out of a food court station. I liked the pork chops over rice and beans the best from the main entrees I've ordered. Most main entrees I liked, but I thought the ribs were a little dry for me (it's dry rub and then they give you garlic sauce and bbq sauce in little containers). The main entrees are a good deal for lunch in terms of quantity you get and price you pay. I'll always have a leftover portion for later. The guys working behind the counter are friendly, too, and are patient when you're ordering. The food station gets people ordering in-person and also door dash deliverers, so from what I've seen, they are good with line control.
