Excellent pork dishes! The Lechon kawali is a must order dish. It was cooked absolutely perfectly. The skin was crispy while the meat was juicy and full of flavor. The liver sauce was the perfect match for the pork. Dont be afraid to try it. The Pork BBQ skewers are delicious and another must order. We also has the lumpia Shanghai, and the Canton and Bihon pansit, both good but not great. Lastly the garlic fried rice was great as well. We will definitely be back! read more

They were not lying when they said that they have Filipino family serving sizes!! The portions were huge and the quality of everything was amazing. The crispy pata was perfect, and the sinigang was so sour -- a great soup for the cold weather we had. We were so full but were glad we said yes to dessert. The cassava cake was served warm, it was probably one of the best ones we've had. From the moment we stepped in, we were made to feel like we were home! We also found out that the lady who served us is from the same province as us. I always appreciate when they're accommodating to our kids -- she asked us what our son wanted to watch and she played some Blippi on YouTube so we could eat in peace since no one else was dining there that evening. What a great dining experience! I think I was a little lucky and had the entire place to myself as I dined with my family. We tried a little bit of everything and to be honest this was my first real sit down Filipino cuisine. The staff was very friendly and even gave us extra baked goodies fresh. Found this place from internet and it was claimed to be the best Filipino restaurant in NJ. We drove by the front of the restaurant and had our doubts. Friday night prime time and restaurant was empty. Luckily we didn't find parking on the street and had to drive to get to parking lot behind the restaurant. Ive been missing their grilled liempo and so we revisited this July and had a wonderful lunch! it wasnt too busy on an early Sunday but there was a good amount of people ahead of us already. Service was good and music played were nice! Ambiance is dark though, whereas i prefer places that have more natural light. We got their grilled liempo (of course!), shrimp sinigang and grilled bangus. Everything complimented each other - the savoriness of the pork and the warm and sour soup of the sinigang. The fish was nicely cooked and we loved the veggie toppings. We were so full but still decided to get the halo-halo anyway haha Ive had better halohalo though; theirs was little ube ice cream and the ice is not fine. Its pieces of ice that you have to crunch with your teeth rather than that melt in your mouth shaved ice so we'll probably skip that next time. Overall its one hearty meal over here. read more

One of the best Filipino restaurants aside from MamaFina. This place is next to the other Filipino restaurant that serves cafeteria style...That place is pure garbage. Bamboo Grill is a recommendation of my aunt who asked if we could go there. I said sure...food is delicious. Everything ordered and I over ordered was yummy. Service was nice except for the owner working in the room. That is not the place to do work and makes employees resentful and makes for a distrustful environment. You get one star off for working in the restaurant instead of a room away from diners. Service was good and attentive enough and the food was fresh. Ambiance is really open though some dividers would break up the layout. I like this place and unless I am going to MamaFina which has barely any parking, this is the place to dine for Filipino food...I absolutely hate cafeteria style which Filipinos seem to love. All food tasted like home cooking, fresh, and not too salty or greasy. Halo halo was a bit heavy on the ice, and could've used more toppings, but it was still tasty after it was all mixed up in a big bowl. The ambiance is a transformed ballroom, into dining area. But it's clean and casual. Ceiling decor was cheesy and should be replaced or just taken down. Large flat screen TVs play whatever the staff put, usually an array of YouTube music videos. It's entertaining if they put some good music on, but when we first got there it was a weird program on luxury cars. Not exactly what I'd want to watch while sitting down to a meal. It's my second time coming here and the food is always delicious! I've tried the kare kare from here and it's savoury, and creamy with a lot of veggies and ox tail. The lumpia shanghai is super flavourful so if you love garlic you'll love these spring rolls. We ordered the crispy pata and I was not disappointed. It was cooked perfectly with the skin being super crunchy and having a good layer of fat between the skin and the meat. The leche flan was okay, I've had creamier but I would still order it again. The halo halo is huge, probably enough for 3 people to share! All the staff here are super friendly and I'm surprised that it isn't busy both times I've come. There's lots of space to serve larger parties and the food is family style, meant to be shared. It's a little hard to find tucked away in the back and next to another restaurant. You have to go up the stairs from the parking lot...it's a little intimidating. The place itself is huge! This review is specifically for the Latin Room at Bamboo Grill. I've personally attended 3 parties here since 2015 and they have all been very nice and the service is very consistent. They have all had pretty much similar Filipino menu selections and they are all very tasty. I always enjoy the Lumpia, pancit, salmon, pork BBQ, and the always popular Whole Lechon. They also have a nice dance floor that is always lively with plenty of dancing. Personally I'm not that knowledgeable of all the special line dancing and other dances they do there but they do have some nice dance instructors on hand that are trying to get everyone involved in the fun. It always makes for an interesting evening and everyone on the staff there is very nice. I would says it's a nice place to host or attend a party I guess that's why we keep going back there every year. read more

Since COVID starts, they transferred their dining area to the Latin Ballroom where you need to get past the entrance through the back store. Good thing, there are parking spaces available for easy access. It was my first time trying out this Authentic Filipino Cuisine restaurant and it did not disappoint. A true Filipino flavor cooked with the right seasoning and made with love, feels like dining in from the outside balconies overlooking the Philippine sea. Great place in town. I got the bbq chicken and it was great. My bf got the pork belly and liked it but primarily ate off my plate. We both got the garlic rice. I should've gone with the plain rice. The waiter said it was a sauté of garlic and soy sauce but if you look closely it's burned garlic bits in the rice. It was too much garlic for me. I added some of the bbq sauce from my chicken since it was a sweet bbq sauce to tame the flavor down but ultimately it was a no for me. My bf didn't mind. The mini egg rolls are good. The amount of sauce they give isn't enough but our waiter got us more so no issues there. We will come back. read more

The sisig was extremely expensive and wasn't crispy at all- more so soggy and too salty with lots of pig ear. I like pig ear but usually expect my sisig to come with crunchy pork bits, onions, etc. The halo halo was $9 or so for a measly cup and the ingredients weren't that generous.
