Use the stairs or use this elevator to go to the upper level of H Mart in Kaka'ako

Food Court in Kaka'ako, Honolulu, Hawaii... Market Eatery is the official name of the upper level of H Mart. Currently, there are eight vendors: 1. Gold Miss - known for their mochi donuts, beverages, and dessert toast 2. Giovanni's - they have two "shrimp trucks" on the North Shore. This location is cleaner! 3. Black Sheep Cream - the original location is in Waipio. There are creative ice cream combinations here! 4. Dada Chicken - many flavors of Korean Fried Chicken 5. Ireh - an offshoot of their Korean restaurant 6. GAMA - the newest addition cooks up Korean cuisine such as Kimchi Pancake and bulgogi 7. Natsu Boshi - Japanese cuisine such as ramen and karaage chicken 8. Let Them Talk Bar - features a wall of beer spouts! The air conditioning, spacious interior, plentiful tables and chairs, convenient restrooms, and whimsical wall murals make this a pleasant venue! Use the stairs or elevator inside of H Mart to get to Market Eatery. Remember to get your parking validated if you're there for more than an hour. The first hour is free in the structure which has its entrance on Pohukaina Street. Note: I personally look for free parking on Keawe Street

Literally a hidden gem right in Kaka'ako! Market Eatery is on the second floor of HMart accessible for either a stairwell or elevator both are at the back of the market on the right side near the home goods section. Being on the second floor it's very spacious here with seating all around and restrooms right beside the elevator makes it so convenient the vibe here is bright every wall here is a work of art. At this moment there are eight eateries - Gold miss - Black Sheep Cream Co - Let them talk bar - Dada Chicken - Natsu boshi - Ireh - Gama - Giovanni's Quite impressive to have so many to choose from and once you've decided you're given a ticket with a number so you don't have to wait at that very place for your order if you decide to go elsewhere they will announce "restaurant name and order number" so you'll know your order is ready...how cool is that!? Eating here is so spacious and I do like to sit near the window just to gaze out and enjoy. Parking is right beside the HMart and the first hour of parking is free without validation. Eat, Shop and leave Happy! Thank you!

Above hmart, convenient since I love grocery shopping haha. You have to walk into H mart hugging the right side and there'll be stairs and an elevator to upstairs. I've come here a couple times, but this was the only time I remembered to take a picture before eating lol. I ordered a meat jun from Ireh, I used to love ireh in my high school days so it's a comfort place. My friend ordered from the Japanese stall, don't remember the name well, she got a sukiyaki don. The meat jun looked a bit bare, like the egg was barely there, but it was good! The prices have definitely gone up quite a bit. The sukiyaki don looked good with a perfect onset egg. Can talk for taste. The food court is small, so if you're looking for a place to get food, there aren't many options. It's a popular place because Giovanni's is there, which I love. But at $15 a plate for small shrimp.... Not sure about that one. Dada's chicken is also pretty good, they also have milk tea and ice cream. So each stall is pretty good but for picky people, not enough options.

Great little food hall with a variety of food, drinks, and desserts. Nice spot to hangout and get different eats for everyone. There's an indoor dining area and it's on top of an H Mart. Super convenient. This was our first time here and won't be our last.

If you're stoping by, should definitely go upstairs to grab something to eat as there are a variety of options to choose from, I came here a couple times with family and even suggested to come here with my friends the drinks are decent but the toast is one of a kind in Honolulu, similar to the Korean egg sandwich. The Korean kimchi bulgogi sandwich was the best! The seating area is decent and the food court calls out when your order is ready.

Teasket Toasket is perfect for drinks! Their plantation ice tea is everything!!!! Kind of similar to Coffee Bean's plantation ice tea!

The Pa'ina Lanai Food Court located at the Royal Hawaiian Shopping Center of course! Sometimes when one is on a budget, or if you really don't feel like dining at a regular restaurant, going to a food court is another great option that one can choose to get their grindages on. The Pa'ina Lanai Food Court located at building "B", on the 2nd floor. The food court is open-aired and covered (so that it'll protect you from weather & sun), and it has a lot of clean well kept seating. There are restrooms near by, and I could see that the cleaning staff was very active in cleaning up the tables/chairs at the food court. The Pa'ina Lanai Food Court have the following food eateries - 1. Penny's Malasadas 2. Panda Express 3. Champion's Steak & Seafood 4. Kokoro Cafe 5. Kulu Kulu 6. Mahaloha Burger 7. Pho Factory 8. Poke Waikiki 9. Raising Cane's 10. Wicked Main Lobster A pretty decent selection of food businesses, so hopefully there is something that appeals to everyone. Parking here is pretty easy, as there is a parking structure within the shopping center. If you spend a minimum of $10 bucks, you can get a parking validation for 3 hours. Looking for casual dining? It's not the commercialized restaurants ( sorry Waikiki) that you expect on the strip but it is down home good cooking with some specialties ranging from Japanese l, Korean, Chinese and more flavors. It's a perfect place to go to while you're staying on the strip and you don't want to wait in 2 hour long waits for mediocre food. Take a walk downstairs and enter into an elevated food stall experience. I'm not saying it's fancy, but I am saying it's worth a date night or fun night out with friends and family. Fair warning it has this interesting set up tho that makes it feel like its outside but it's technically at the basement of a mall plaza. So weird because the air conditioning is hit or miss but it's nice because the individual places have their own AC. I expected it to be cooler inside and it wasn't blazing hot but it was humid .... But then again you're in Hawaii lol so expect a little humidity depending on what month you come in. Parking; paid and look for a lot ... I'm not entirely sure but it's walking distance from the strip. Pro tip: it's conveniently located by the Ross. Faves: Hojocha latte and Matcha Lattes found here! Even soft serve! Organic Rice Balls ( onigiri) to go. The closest thing I've found to Motomura Gyakatsu ( with unlimited salad!l and the bear dang tempura tendon I've had aside from Japan. Baby friendly : Yes, absolutely yes. Now they have small tables and areas in some spaces but they make it work with what you have if there's space. I took my 6 month old with a doona stroller here and it fit fine. There were elevators conveniently in located in the space. Restrooms: you need a code from one of the food places and it will be on your receipt. They're pretty clean! Enjoy! Try everything. I went around and looked at the 5offerings... it was easy for me to choose it had to be quick so I ordered at aloha by the slice. single slice with a "twist" I say twist cause initially I wanted Sausage and humbly the worker (Teddy M) expressed nicely that they didn't have sausage and I asked for ham... now remember I wanted the "single" slice with one"topping" and no sausage but ham was available. If many of you follow my reviews... I don't care for Hawaiian pizza.... The last Hawaiian pizza I had was at "Spitfire Grill" in the Dukes lane Market and that got 5stars BECAUSE- it had pork grinds on the Hawaiian pizza - which by the way is really delicious and I found it an epic addition to the pizza The reason for my 5stars this time is because Teddy decided that he give me a Slice of Hawaiian pizza that has the "Ham" & Pineapple on it.... Even when I asked for the single topping slice... he was perhaps going above and beyond ((there was an impending line in back of me)) so he choose to take the slice already made warm it in the wood fire stove then take it and cut in half.... He did this for the right person... me!!!! Happiness to hit one customer with a slice that had two toppings... I will add that I realized this may not go as well for other people... but if your one to understand the food service part of it then you get where my 5stars comes from... Thanks Aloha by the slice... I'll be going back again. (I'm still not a sucker for pineapple on my pizza)

Night 1, ordered slices from Aloha pizzeria and Hashi & Spoon (Karaage). Decent all the way around. Night 2 was strange. Ordered Karaage again (my 4 yo loves chicken). And tried to go to get Mexican food from La Pina, and short of saying I'm ready to order, I tried to make eye contact with any one of the 4 teenagers / young 20yos, to infer as much besides obviously standing in front of the register--they were more concerned with an inside joke between each other to bother with me and my son. After waiting a full minute with still acknowledgment, I counted down from 10 out loud to my son and when I reached zero with still no acknowledgment, I dipped. Maybe that was ok, because the al pastor was the only thing that looked somewhat fresh. Went to Greek grotto instead and boy, you really pay the penalty tax for eating right there in Waikiki. Not only was one of the orders wrong despite asking and the workers correcting each other, the gyro plate was abysmally small. Barely 3 oz of gyro meat. I didn't find out all of this till I opened up the container at our hotel room. Irritated, I couldn't go back because I've got a tired 4 yo. The chicken karaage was slightly burnt, which means the outer crust was a tinge bitter, and mostly cornmeal, totally different from yesterday, which also disappointing. Not coming back. Only giving two stars because the service at Aloha Pizzeria was solid and the pizza crust tasted good even cold the next day.

High end stores, high end restaurants and other great things like art exhibits. Now that I live in California, I do visit Oahu every two years. At the time when we came here in 2019, we went to a photography exhibit by National Geographic. Now this is something I enjoy. I think tourists could enjoy it too and bring in the modernized look for Waikiki. I have been on the fence about the traditional vendors over these overpriced high end stores. I look at it in a business perspective. Hawaii drives its economy through tourism. We are in the United States of America and you got major cities like New York, Miami, Los Angeles and such. It's competing for more tourists to come to Hawaii. I hate to say this but Hawaii versus Miami? You got people with money that spend at high end stores. People now look at Waikiki like you're shopping on Rodeo Drive. Well if this is what attracts tourists - so be it to help the economy. It is a shame that it has to be this way to survive in this economy. The workers in Waikiki have pride in their job and make an honest living in an expensive state. I do miss the old International Marketplace. It was nice seeing vendors sell things.
