My daughter loves rainbows and unicorns. So, for her 7th Birthday, her mother decided to try a place we had not been to before and get some ideas. The sales representatives were very helpful and patient while they tried to draw the ideas that were being given to them. After all the ideas were on paper, the representative double checked with the chef and set the expectation of what we would receive. Terrible service, terrible cake quality, and terrible designs. This place did such a wonderful job with my wedding cake last year that I thought that they can do a simple birthday cake, but I was wrong. Then even, this place claimed that I didn't pay $400 for my wedding cake when they lost their receipt and told me I had to pay again or they wouldn't deliver my cake, but that's a whole other story. Back to the birthday cake, when I addressed the people at the store, they were making it seem like it was my fault that the cake had so many issues and it was nothing like what I had asked for. Also, the cake wasn't even worth $100. Once I left the store, my family and I started examining the cake more, the worse and worse it got. So many flaws and when I called the store back, only being a few blocks away from to location, they shared that they for sure couldn't do anything about it because I already left the store with the cake. And then the owner started yelling at me over the phone in Spanish, speaking over me when I was addressing what I saw on the cake. The sad part is that I didn't want my money back, I was just stating what was wrong with the cake, hoping that the employees or owners can make up for this huge issue. This place is a scam. Review is based off of in person service only when I attempted to order a custom cake. Short and simple Marissa is unprofessional and rude. Went in today to order a custom cake custom cookies and possibly custom cake pops that I needed for my business event in exactly one week. I was determined and hopeful to walk out having ordered a cake because I was down to the wire as far as timing. Wasn't worried about pricing what so ever. As soon as I was greeted by Marissa at the counter I let her know exactly what I was looking for and asked if she'd be able to take the order given the lack of time. She said yes and rudely followed it with saying the cake would be a minimum to $200. I replied back that it wasn't an issue. From there we discussed the design of the cake and what I wanted, but she kept pushing a design that I was adamant that I didn't want and also she kept bringing up the cost saying it was going to be too expensive. Again, not once did I mention being concerned about the cost, because to be honest I wasn't worried about cost. We finally were able to work out and agree on a design for the cake so we moved on to custom cookies. She pulled out her iPad and pulled up cookie designs based on what I want but she once again said it was going to be too expensive and also complicated so I said ok and we moved onto cake pops. Again here she pulled up google images of cake pops based on the design that I wanted. (Truck themed cake pops) she said it was going to be too complicated to do truck themed cake pops and I agreed because cake pops are round. While she was scrolling through the google images an image came up of truck pops that looked like tires. I really liked them and told her I would like to do those only to have her snap at me and tell me "no! Those are going to be too expensive. Those are going to be $8.50 a piece and I don't have time to commit to all of this." At this point I had just had enough of her constantly talking about my order being too expensive and apparently now complicated that i just told her straight out that she should have just told me from the get go that she didn't have the time to do it when I asked her at the beginning. I also told her that she seemed to be the one concerned with what it was going to cost me to place the order when I not once mentioned any concern with regards to pricing. As a business owner myself I'm just surprised at the lack of her professionalism and over all rude demeanor because to be honest her cakes do look good. But I'll be damned if I give this woman my business after her disrespectful and rude she was. I wanted to support a local business close to my business but happy to say I took my business elsewhere and couldn't be happier. read more
