Kiddos Birthday was coming up and didn't want to go the traditional cupcakes route. Through my trusty Yelp found Vere's bakery and their cool and unique Funfetti Cakesickles. The ordering process was a breeze. Was able to text in my request, set ip payment and a pick up date in no time. Once there for pick up, it'll be hard to walk away without one of their coffees (The Banana iced latte was delicious) and a pastry. The Cakesicles were a hit. So much so, we ordered a birthday cake from them two weeks later. The owner and staff are friendly and helpful. Visited Vere's Cakery to get one of their specialty coffees and strawberry short bread cookie... the cafe de olla iced upside down coffee was delightful, I love that they use crushed ice... if you like your coffee on the sweet side, this place is for you... I definitely could taste the chocolate notes and spices.... I asked for it to be a little less on the sweet side.... The cafe de olla is already made sweet because they add piloncillo to the coffee making process.... So he made sure the other ingredients such as the sweet cold foam was less.... I happened to stumble upon this place while putting gas. Let me just say, their customer service was incredible ! The two girls there were super helpful helping me pick out a drink and even let me try a sample of the horchata base. I ended up going with an Iced Horchata Latte with Vanilla Sweet Cream Cold Foam. First time coming here. The decor is really cute and the employees were very nice. I ordered a small iced Café Crunch Horchata... I'd give it a 6/10. It was very sweet with a slightly bitter aftertaste. I did notice that both the horchata and matcha are pre-made and dispensed from a fountain drink machine. I also tried the Churro Dulce de Leche cake slice, which was a huge disappointment and something I wouldn't order again. The description says it's a cake slice filled with cream cheese buttercream, churro crunch, walnuts, and dulce de leche, soaked with dulce de leche syrup. However, it tasted mostly like plain buttercream. I didn't taste any cream cheese at all. The slice was very dry, had only one small piece of walnut, and was overwhelmingly cinnamon. For $7 a slice, it wasn't worth it, and I didn't even finish it. Overall, I would consider coming back because the coffee was okay, but I would definitely stay away from the cakes. read more

I want to emphasize this is a low review, not because of bad service. I love the coffee here. It's delicious. They're always so nice and welcoming. BUTTT I've tried legit everything on the menu. cookies, cheesecake, muffins and single cake slices, cake bars, sometimes they have different pastry's like the quesadilla, or the guava filling bread and they all seem to have a "fridge" taste. I've tried them on different occasions and I've repeated pastry's thinking it was maybe a bad batch or maybe just me . However I've gotten the same from other people tasting the pastry. So glad I could finally stop by! Vere's Cakery is fairly close to me (by car). I don't drive so I took a quick bus ride. Location is pretty small (hopefully they get a bigger location or open another one) However they attended me so quickly! By the time I finished paying my drink was ready. The owner is very nice, I observed while I sat there for a while (had to wait like an hour for the bus back lol) People kept coming in and right out. I ordered an iced horchata coffee. It was sooo delicious it was actually the perfect combination of horchata and coffee. In comparison to TM which is good but just tastes like milk mostly. The horchata flavor is definitely there, the cinnamon on top, sweet but tasted like coffee too I loved it. I came on a Saturday so they had already sold out of some items I'd like to try. i'm on a diet, and my only cheat day is on sunday. however, they're closed on sundays!! i came in today after work and decided to break my diet anyways because i really wanted something sweet. unfortunately, i ordered a strawberry matcha and it was waaaayyyyy too sweet (and i usually love sweet drinks). i called to see if they'd be willing to remake me another drink (as most other coffee shops do this), and they declined. they did offer to add more matcha to balance out the drink, but i didn't want to drive all the way back, have them add more matcha, and possibly still not like it. i wish they were more apologetic and willing to compromise, but they are a small business so i understand not wanting to remake a drink. it just sucks because i cheated on my diet just to be disappointed lol!! i have tried their other drinks and they're usually pretty good, but this one just didn't hit the mark for me. definitely skip the matcha and order a coffee instead! read more
