Now mind you, I don't give out 5 stars very often, but Backdraft deserves all five of them. Cool, friendly and attentive wait staff, every time we have been. Nice back area with seating is great with the nice weather. Vast selection of food options is great for many people, even finicky, picky people that you don't really like, but have to meet because your friend likes her. That's not the case today, but just saying. Also, the fire fighter theme is great and fun with the names of the food. Anyhoo, we ordered the Smoke Alarm Brussel Sprouts appy and it was delicious. Perfectly cooked sprouts, goat cheese, mustard drizzle. Not a huge portion, but was great for the two of us to share and still be hungry for lunch. The Biz Partner ordered a medium Code Blue pizza to have some to take home. The pizza is marinara, mozzerella, blue cheese crumbles, grilled steak, grilled onions, cilantro and house made. BBQ sauce. I did not try any, but he loved it and had enough leftover for him and his girlfriend for dinner! It was a LARGE medium pizza. Speaking of large. I picked the Hotshot Italian Sub and decided to get the 12" so I could also take some home, figuring I would eat the 6" if I just ordered that. Now, I did not measure it, but when it came out, it did not seem like 12", you know like SW "foot long". It was cut into 4 huge pieces and each seemed like 1/2 a SW large sub. I ended up eating only one of the 4 portions that arrived. Ate it for lunch the next two days! The Hotshot is a great italian sub, one of my favorite sandwiches. It is Honey Smoked Ham, Salami, Pepperoni, Provolone, Lettuce, Tomatoes, Onions, smeared with mustard and mayo and then drizzled with Greek Style house dressing. I ordered it hot and on a white roll (the only way it should be prepared! IMHO). Damn fine sandwich and at "12 feet" long (ha, ha!) it feeds a bunch of people or me for three lunches. Service is so good and attentive. The waitress got her workout refilling my diet cokes as after eating we stayed and did some business. She always checked on us and did not care how long we stayed. So awesome, I wish I had gotten the names of the servers. This was Tuesday, 3/24/26 at noon. So, you know who you are! GO! EAT WELL!! BE WELL TAKEN CARE OF!!! HAVE FUN!!!!

A little bit too spicy for me but the flavor was excellent. I had the Code 3 burger. Big burger which consisted of pork belly, angus chuck and short rib meat. It had grilled pineapple, jalapeños, green peppers and onions, lettuce, and tomato drizzled with raspberry chipotle sauce. It was spicy with a little bit of sweet. It came with french fries which were very tasty and seasoned perfectly. I've never seen french fries quite like this. I was so hungry I forgot to take a picture of the burger. My daughter ordered a chicken Caesar wrap which isn't on the menu, but they made it for her anyway. Super nice of them to do that. It was a lot of food and we were all happy with stuffed bellies.

FIRANGI Authentic Indian Gastropub -- What a Place!…read more Wow. I honestly walked in expecting a good Indian restaurant... but what I found was something completely different. This place isn't just a restaurant -- it's a full-blown lounge with style. First thing you notice is the vibe. Beautiful Tiffany-colored interior, elegant lighting, and a stunning marble bar that looks like it belongs in some high-end lounge in London or Dubai. Very classy, very comfortable, very cool. But wait... it gets better. POOL TABLES! And not just decoration -- actual playable tables. $1 a game! I nearly fell off my chair. I haven't played in ages. When I was younger I used to be pretty serious about pool, so naturally I had to grab a cue and see if I still had the magic. Let's just say... the spirit is still there, even if the aim needs a little polishing. They even run pool tournaments on Saturdays, which is amazing. So now suddenly dinner can turn into a little friendly competition. I'm already planning my comeback tour. Now about the food -- absolutely authentic and delicious. Real Indian flavors, beautifully presented, rich spices, and clearly prepared with care. Everything we tried was excellent and I'm already planning my next visit because I have to try the lamb. I've heard it's fantastic. A special thank-you to Sky, the lady boss of this place. She is super friendly, incredibly polite, and very professional. You can immediately tell she knows the cuisine inside and out. She explained dishes, made recommendations, and made us feel genuinely welcome. Hospitality like that makes a huge difference. So what do we have here? * Beautiful lounge atmosphere * Marble bar and stylish interior * Authentic Indian cuisine * Pool tables for $1 (yes, really) * Saturday tournaments * Fantastic hospitality Honestly, this place is a hidden gem. A perfect spot for dinner, drinks, and maybe a little pool if you're feeling competitive. Let's just say this: I will definitely be coming back... probably way too often. If you see a guy practicing pool shots while waiting for his lamb curry -- that's probably me. Highly recommended. woww

The restaurant is fairly spacious with indoor and outdoor dining, a long bar, and a couple of pool tables in a connected room/area. I found the decor/atmosphere slightly stark and more 'café' than 'gastropub'. Maybe that changes on busy evenings. The food was great, although we noticed they didn't ask about a 'spice level' -- it was a mild one-size-fits-all spice. A nice touch was a metal water vessel that was provided on the table with metal cups. The owner was friendly. The waitress was slightly odd. Wait time for food was a tiny bit slow. There's a single unisex restroom off the back patio, accessed by code. Ample parking on the surrounding streets and in free public lots. Watch out for 2-hour limit signs. If you're an Indian food lover, check out Firangi!

My husband and I came here for our first wedding anniversary and it was amazing! Don't let the…read moresmall menu fool you - every single thing we ate was delicious! FOOD: - hot potatoes: has a pickled radish and some sort of crème sauce that was so good - these were my husband's favorite. - chicken satay: It came with pickled cucumber (think when it's cucumber kimchi, but it wasn't a kimchi type of marinade). The peanut sauce had a little spice (if you don't have any spice tolerance I would avoid the sauce, but it was sooo good). This was my favorite. - khao soi curry (has egg noodles) and that was delicious. We added the brisket to it which was a good add. My husband ate his so fast and I had to make him not take any more so we could have leftovers! DRINKS: - we got complimentary champagne for our anniversary which was so so sweet of them and made our night! The champagne itself was actually one of the best champagnes I have had. It had a nice sweetness to it. - my husband had the thai lager, which he said was okay. It tasted like most lagers he's had. - we shared the tangerine you are my sex machine as it sounded interesting and i do have to say this was the only thing we weren't big fans of. it was very smokey, but my husband put "old boat motor" in my head and that's all we could taste. if you love smokey drinks this would be for you. - I had a house cocktail that I cannot remember the name of for the life of me, but it was sweet, peachy (I think) and had champagne in it from what I remember. It was so good and would get it again! The vibe inside the restaurant was cool and there are over 30 tigers (our server counted for us, but she said she couldn't even find them all). The bathrooms were cute and very clean. 10/10 recommend. The check even came in a romance novel!

I think everything really complimented each other well from the music to the art to the menu, it was great! Our server was nice as we were indecisive with even such a small menu, we had a hard time. The drinks were good and strong, unique and creative. Which I guess when you're going out and want to stay on theme, it works. We had the coconut broth hamachi which was so lip-smackingly addictive with those wonton chips! I would come back just for that dish! The chicken satay skewers were also delicious and the sauce that came with it was a good mix of sweet, savory, spicy and salty. I do think from there it was kind of just okay? I got the half fried chicken which smelled a fish sauce glaze and that's what I went in expecting but there was no punch of that fish sauce flavor you know? It needed a bit more pop. BF got the pork belly banh mi bowl which I guess in theory why would you get that at a Thai place? But the pork belly was hard and firm, not as you'd expect it to be which was dissapointing. Our friends got the Khao Soi which was delicious I do have to say and the Panang with Brisket. I think it was cool to try but im just stuck in my ways and prefer the ole mom and pop down the road with more options. But its fun for a night out!
