I love Marisco's Germán! Their tacos are so good but the prices have risen SO much within the past 9 years (it's $4+ for one taco now). This location has a bit of a hidden parking area in the back that you can turn into on the big main road. Food rec wise, I've only tried the tacos because I'm just a huge fan. Definitely still worth trying if you've never been, but this isn't exactly the most affordable taco spot in town. read more

This is the first time I go to this spot. I always pass it going to north gate and I went today. Maaaannn I made a mistake passing this spot everytime. I got agua chile negro, shrimp ceviche and a cocktel de camarón. ALL OF IT was insanely good. I have zero complaints. The taste is just THERE! My mom and I had lunch here. We were craving Mexican seafood. I ordered 2 fish tacos and a shrimp taco. I ordered my mom a shrimp burrito. Batter was really thick and it had just cabbage minimal pico, and crema. Across the things we ordered they were all the same. My mom's burrito was exactly the same as the tacos cabbage a little pico and crème. She had a soda I had water and it came out to $47.00. Won't go back. read more

I had the campechana cocktail, which is a mix of shrimp, octopus, clams, scallops, and imitation crab. I'll start with what I loved the most about it, I loved the fact that the vegetables were very fresh, along with the lemony & spicy flavor, it just made it super good. The things I didn't like were, that for the medium cup that I got, I really only got 3 shrimp in the whole cup. Also the imitation crab was cut up in big chunks and they added way too much of the scallops. I wish that I could say that I've finally found my go to for "Mexican Seafood" in town but sadly my search continues. Visited 7/11/2022 Back for another visit for the best Fish & Seafood Tacos in all of San Diego County Bar None. The food here has been consistent every year since I've been coming here and that's been many years. The fish tacos are amazing and only $3.75ea. I never get tired of them. The Mixed Seafood Taco is $12.00 and is a whole meal in one taco. I ate it with a fork this time I never got to the bottom and the tortilla. Service is good, That food is even better. Small place but I've never had a problem getting a table. If you Love Baja style fried tacos this is the place for you. I'll be back again soon. read more

So my boyfriend is the king of knowing good places specifically mexican placed as well. So my mom wanted to bring my grandma some food for when we go see her. My boyfriend was telling my mom and I about this place because he says they are known for their fish tacos. We decided to try it out and bring some to my grandma. The workers only speak spanish as far as I am aware because when my mom tried she only only responded in spanish. I ordered for us and we waited inside for our food, while waiting the lady also brought us a complementary consome de camarones. We got 2 fish tacos, 1 fish burrito and 1 carne asada tacos. It was so good! oh my gosh the food tasted wonderful, I usually have been pretty picky with my food especially mexican because my boyfriends parents good is unbelievable delicious!! I do love the shrimp tacos here, so much flavor. My boyfriend loves the fish tacos as well. The size of the tacos are big! You could get full off of 1 or 2. The carne asada taco - very plain and no seasoning on the meat. Stick with the seafood! Also, I believe they raised their prices a little. For a medium campechana it's 17$ now? The best fish tacos. And at a great price. This is their specialty but yet all their other food is delicious as well. Each taco comes with a huge piece of fried fish. Topped with fresh pico and a mayo sauce that perfectly complements the taco. I get full off of two tacos with no sides. That's how big these tacos are. Their carne asada tacos are huge and equally tasty. The pieces are meat are cut fairly small and allowed to crisp on the flat top to get that perfect sear. They offer free small cups of consommé and it's even delicious on a super hot day. Their shrimp cocktails are on the pricey side and is just ok. I wouldn't order it again. Parking is available behind the restaurant but that's limited to about 8-9 spaces. No parking in front. There's no air conditioning inside either. The food also holds up well when you take it togo as well. The fish tacos are still crunchy and fresh tasting. Staff is hit and miss. Sometimes they are super friendly and helpful, other days they don't seem like they want to be there. read more

I have mixed reviews but on a good day, they are phenomenal and I love the menu choices. On a bad day, the little girl in the front won't speak Spanish to me and only assumes I can't speak because of the way I look I guess ‍ anyway they also forget to grill the shrimp sometimes when we ask so that sucks but like I said the food is great. So happy to have a Marisco's in North County! It's basically the same menu as the food truck but at a sit-down venue. I had the pulpo (octopus) taco- fresh with lots of pico de gallo and a white sauce. Very generous portion. I also ordered battered/fried fish tacos for my girls- they couldn't even finish them. Complimentary fish consume when you order-- it's a tomato and broth soup with fish and some vegetables. Everything is very fresh and cooked as you would expect. Wow first of their actual storefront opened 3 months ago! The ambiance took us back to Mexico with colorful decor and Mexican MTVs playing on the screens, and everyone looked Mexican except for us. We had tried their truck in San Diego and also in San Marcos before and the food here was slightly better than the truck, maybe because we had a spot shielded from the weather to enjoy our food? Their fish tacos were still amazing, and I finally got to try their octopus taco because they always run out at the trucks! The flavor was good but a bit too salty. So as I wanted to get some water to wash it down, we found out they don't serve water.... strange. We got a bottled coke anyway. There's parking at the back, just don't miss the small tight alley right before their entrance which will lead you to the lot at the back. It's nice that they have their own private parking! Pretty good good and reasonably priced if you don't buy their liter sodas lol. This location is a bit hard to get to and the parking is in the rear. There's no drive thru but there's AC and TVs! Compared to their truck this is much better in terms of comfort. Comparing their food to other taco shops within a 5 mile radius their food is probably the best tasting. Worth a visit. Make sure to bring cash or be prepared to pay what I believe is a waste... $1.50 transaction fee is unheard of... Their Marlin tacos are bomb! Their dining area and restrooms are spotless. We came here last Friday because we were staying in Escondido and thought there would be great Mexican food around here. It took at least 45 minutes for our food to come out. The lady who took my order got it wrong. We asked for a wet burrito and it did not come out that way. I got the oysters and they were good with lime. The shrimp burrito was good. read more

Definitely recommend this place, and I worked at a mariscos location before! Called in my lunch order and it was ready in 10 minutes. He was super nice when I came to pick up, and included all their delicious salsas. The creamy red one is my favorite, spicy and full of flavor. Fish tacos are good here also fair price considering they're pretty big. Everything else here is overpriced. I will say when ordering please look at the register prices. They are notorious for raising the prices on menu items. I ordered a tostada loca and menu price was 13, once i paid i saw receipt and it was 16. I asked the cashier and she pointed to the corner of the menu... "prices can change without notice" i thought that was very shady but they got me that time! I will still eat here but be warned.
