Order at the counter or via the kiosk, have a seat and your order is brought out to you. Extremely easy and delicious. Along with the Everything Protein Bowl, Julie ordered the Grilled Salmon Salad. The bowl had a variety of seafood including Cajun shrimp, salmon, swai and grilled chicken served on a bed of white rice, beans, diced tomatoes and a chili mix. Great flavor and variety. Never returning here after what happened with my friend's dine-in order. She specifically told the cashier not to include any onions due to her allergy, yet her chicken teriyaki bowl still came with them. We requested that her meal be remade, but it took so long that we ultimately asked the employees to just bag her order instead. If a customer requests any ingredient to be removed--especially when an allergy is mentioned upfront--there should be a clear way to mark or highlight it on all orders. They have a special right now, if you get their app you get a free protein bowl with a purchase of a drink. The entire bowl weighed in at 1.5 lbs of which 1/3 of a lb was the protein. White Fish, shrimp, salmon and chicken. The shrimp and salmon were covered with a super salty seasoning, the chicken was ok and the white fish was flaky and delicious. I work near here and had lunch with a corporate rep at this location. You can order either via a person or tablet. I chose to use the tablet as my order was pretty easy and my friend ordered via person since his was "different ". All in all, my food came out pretty quick, Greek chicken salad with a side of parm bread. I'm so picky about my Greek salad but this salad was amazing. I'm not huge on tomatoes so I wish the pieces were a bit smaller but I made due. The taste, the chicken, just everything was great. The salad came out within minutes of ordering so very quickly. The expo person was very nice and made sure everything in my order was accurate. The dining room was very clean and someone came out every few minutes to pick up plates, trays and wipe down tables. Lunch here was a really great fast casual lunch option for a Sunday. We ordered at a kiosk with touch screen and took our seat in the clean and comfortable dining room. We originally ordered Mac and cheese for my child, but they came out and let us know they were out and offered to sub in chicken tenders instead. All of the food came out really hot and so fresh. I stopped in for lunch a little after they opened at 11 am. I was there recently and the owner Mario remembered me and greeted me promptly as soon as I walked in. They welcome everyone who enters. The menu is large, and there are plenty of options ranging from plates with 2 sides, to sandwiches, to classics, to poke bowls, etc. They also have a few dessert items like brownies and Rice Krispy treats. You can order on a giant iPad like device or you can talk to someone who can take your order, your choice. For the plates section of the menu, there are plenty of options including fish like mahi mahi, ahi tuna, salmon, shrimp, etc. This time I decided to go with the mahi mahi, garlic butter, french fries, and tomatoes with feta. The plate portions are a good size and seem to be a good value. The food is also pretty good and tasty. I like that you get to choose 2 sides, but there are so many good sides to choose from. The clam chowder was super good, I wish they included crackers but I also didn't ask to see if they had any. The portion of fish on the battered fish taco was HUGE! Annoying but very good for what it is. California Fish Grill is a fast-casual (frozen) fish restaurant that really fills the need of affordable seafood. Most of the fish they sell here are not the expensive fish you'll find at most seafood places. They're the less desirable ones. But with enough sauce and lemon wedges, you'll still have an enjoyable dining experience at a reasonable cost. When you add in the sides you have a good plate of food. This location, the 6th in the chain I've been to, is one of the smaller ones. What I can say is they were very generous with portion size so enjoy it while it lasts. I can tell you from experience that once a new CFG restaurant settles in they start shrinking things. I recommend ordering CAJUN sauce for whatever fish you order. Based on my experiences most of CFG's fish are pretty bland. The Cajun sauce really does give your meal some flavor. My favorite fish is rockfish. Annoying - 1. Really stupid straws. Way too small for the provided cups. 2. No salsa and condiment bar. For long time visitors of this chain we were used to having access to a great sauce bar. They removed it with covid and never brought it back. Likely corporate penny pinching. Having to repeatedly go up and ask for sauces is annoying especially when the place is busy.
