Julie and I were in the neighborhood and were struggling to find a quality quick meal. We happened across a coupon for a free taco at California Fish Grill. Sadly the coupon had expired. The team quickly found a way to offer us something substantial instead. A current offer allows guests to download their app and receive a free Everything Protein Bowl. Such a great deal! Order at the counter or via the kiosk, have a seat and your order is brought out to you. Extremely easy and delicious. Along with the Everything Protein Bowl, Julie ordered the Grilled Salmon Salad. The bowl had a variety of seafood including Cajun shrimp, salmon, swai and grilled chicken served on a bed of white rice, beans, diced tomatoes and a chili mix. Great flavor and variety. Never returning here after what happened with my friend's dine-in order. She specifically told the cashier not to include any onions due to her allergy, yet her chicken teriyaki bowl still came with them. We requested that her meal be remade, but it took so long that we ultimately asked the employees to just bag her order instead. If a customer requests any ingredient to be removed--especially when an allergy is mentioned upfront--there should be a clear way to mark or highlight it on all orders. Great food, perfect for Lent! I had the branzino and added the roasted corn, it was solid and plenty of rice )perfect for my Filipino heart). This in in regards to an order we placed (delivery) for the household. I got the lobster roll, and I've definitely had better. The serving was small but considering the price ($16.99) it wasn't too bad for lobster. they also have an option for 2 rolls + fries. The "garlic" butter didn't have much flavor and didn't add a lot. The whole thing was kind of bland, but made better with the sauce that came with the sweet potato fries. Those were excellent. Everyone else seemed to enjoy their orders (Shrimp bowl, fish & chips, and fried fish with rice- good sized portions there! and everything we ordered arrived (including lemon, vinegar, tartar). The prices are so affordable and when you go onto their website or in the store, it tells you how much protein you're getting and I really like that they have grilled and fried options. Great service as always. While waiting for my to go order I watched the manager be called out to explain the difference with premium sides vs regular to a customer. I chose to use the tablet as my order was pretty easy and my friend ordered via person since his was "different ". All in all, my food came out pretty quick, Greek chicken salad with a side of parm bread. I'm so picky about my Greek salad but this salad was amazing. I'm not huge on tomatoes so I wish the pieces were a bit smaller but I made due. The taste, the chicken, just everything was great. The salad came out within minutes of ordering so very quickly. The expo person was very nice and made sure everything in my order was accurate. The dining room was very clean and someone came out every few minutes to pick up plates, trays and wipe down tables. They have a special right now, if you get their app you get a free protein bowl with a purchase of a drink. The entire bowl weighed in at 1.5 lbs of which 1/3 of a lb was the protein. White Fish, shrimp, salmon and chicken. The shrimp and salmon were covered with a super salty seasoning, the chicken was ok and the white fish was flaky and delicious. Lunch here was a really great fast casual lunch option for a Sunday. We ordered at a kiosk with touch screen and took our seat in the clean and comfortable dining room. We originally ordered Mac and cheese for my child, but they came out and let us know they were out and offered to sub in chicken tenders instead. All of the food came out really hot and so fresh. The shrimp bowl was delicious with fresh veggies and perfectly cooked rice. The chicken Caesar wrap came with hot chicken and was a perfect portion. The fries here were really good as well! You can order on a giant iPad like device or you can talk to someone who can take your order, your choice. For the plates section of the menu, there are plenty of options including fish like mahi mahi, ahi tuna, salmon, shrimp, etc. This time I decided to go with the mahi mahi, garlic butter, french fries, and tomatoes with feta. The plate portions are a good size and seem to be a good value. The food is also pretty good and tasty. I like that you get to choose 2 sides, but there are so many good sides to choose from. I chose the fries again, but I like my french fries more crispy than they serve them here, but they are still very good french fries. I am from Northern California but I have family down south and my Mom lives in Escondido. Her, myself and my 3 year old daughter went and it was very tasty! The restaurant itself was clean, the person who rung us up was knowledgeable and answered a couple questions that my mom and I had about the meals. We spoke with staff there and were offered an alternative side dish consisting of cauliflower rice which was prepared wonderfully. I've only been here twice but the flavors speak for themselves. Both times I ordered to go. The first time I did it online and picked up. They forgot to give me one of my sides which was a bummer (I should have double checked the bag) and made me a little upset. Honestly once I tasted the food I didn't even care. I knew I would come back. The shrimp has delicious grilled flavor. I had shrimp and swai with chipotle lime sauce (I think it was limited time). The second time I got went in and ordered the keto shrimp bowl which was excellent and had a good amount of shrimp. The green goddess dressing was the perfect pairing.
