Horrible customer service took 30 minutes and another thirty for the fries and it smelled weird in there

Classic burger and Fries. The special sauce for the fryers is .50c but worth trying!

Who doesn't love a burger!!?? Want a hamburger meal that will fill you up and is very tasty, here's a winner! Inside Vons shopping center. Nice menu and cutely decorated with large sized burger pictures on the wall off their menu. Service was excellent and the young lady behind the counter answered questions for us first timers. She was busy cleaning equipment and front counter- which was nice to see. We will be back Brgr Shack!

This is my first time at this place, so far the ambient is good, the place is small with 8 tables enough room it's nice, the service is great , clean , my wife got the Classic BRGR and I got the FLAMING HOT BRGR. Great flavor, fresh, good size!

Updated review: Me and my husband come back here so often!! This is probably our 4th visit back now. I'm really glad the staff has read my review because after my first initial review of the fries, they decided to cook the potatoes a little longer and they stayed extremely crispy even when we got home from doing a pick up order! We decided to try different burgers during this time and got the normal fries to see if there would be a difference. There definitely was, so I really appreciate it!! The fries were so perfect. We come back to try different loaded fries every time. The 3rd visit we got the Flaming Hot Chkn Fries. Oooo my gosh, the garlic sauce was so good and the fries stayed so crispy despite all the toppings; but the spiciness is not to be messed with. The Serrano peppers were so spicy but gave the flavor of the fries such a great taste with the sun-dried tomatoes! We also tried the Chkn Loaded Fries & I actually liked that one the most. It's just simple, and the cheese & the fried chicken were so good on the fries! Sort of felt like fry nachos. The mushroom & Swiss brgr is also fire! Don't skip out on this place.

BB and i tried this place out a couple of weeks ago. We both had classic burgers with fries. I ordered a side of their garlic sauce, and a side of their cheese sauce. The burgers were delicious. Smash burger style with two patties, not overcooked (medium), cheese, vegetables, mustard and ketchup. Buns were toasted nicely. Their fries are more like crisscut potatoes but were good as well. I liked the garlic sauce; however, the cheese sauce was served refrigerator cold, which I did not like. The inside is quite small, there is only about 4 tables. Would probably come back again to try some of their other items.

Located in the Von's shopping center. I forgot how I heard about this spot but as soon as I heard "smashburger style", I went. Simple menu consisting of burgers, chicken sandwiches, fries & more. Customer service was friendly. Classic Brgr: I ordered this to go so I was sad when I opened my meal at home. The bun was extremely burnt, both sides. & the patty was crispy & dry.

Delicious!

Came here because I saw it driving through the parking lot. Im glad I stumbled upon this place!! This is a small business, so please go support! The man behind the counter was so friendly and was so happy to help me, even before closing for the night. He had a great attitude, and the food was delicious and made fresh! I ordered a Buger and fries and they tasted so good! Highly recommend this place!! :)

Man, we really wanted to love this place! I was craving a burger after a long work day and a workout, and Brgr Shack has been on our list for a couple of months now. The cashier was friendly and it wasn't crowded. The food took a little while, but we were happy to wait. Everything looked amazing upon arrival, but to our dismay, the burgers were SO SALTY! My partner even said, "you know it's too salty when I notice, because I love salt!" I wonder if some cooks over season and some under season, because I see other reviews for "salty" OR "bland." I think we would've preferred bland, it was THAT salty. Like mouth-puckeringly, eye-twitchingly salty, somehow. The ingredients on the burgers were tasty, though. Perfectly caramelized onions, for example. The fries were pretty good, although the ranch I requested was not so good. Tasted just like cheap bottled ranch. The Maple Sriracha sandwich sounded great, and looked great, but the flavors felt disjointed. It was moderately better once we removed most of the large mound of coleslaw on it, but we were hoping to taste more "maple." The ambience felt kinda sterile, too. I don't think we'll be back, unfortunately.

Hidden gem in East Escondido! We're so glad you are here, BRGR Shack! We tried the Classic Burger, Pesto Burger, Chicken Tenders (2 piece), Regular Fries and Loaded Fries (without the meat). Everything was super flavorful. I loved how their fries are cut (rounds / ovals crinkle cut) and seasoned. Everything tastes fresh, homemade and gourmet at the same time - without the gourmet pricing. The burgers come with 2 smashed patties that are perfectly crispy around the edges and juicy in the middle. We threw on an order of the 2 piece chicken tenders to try their chicken and were shocked at how big the pieces were. I was expecting 2 tiny strips of chicken, and it looked like we got 2 chicken breasts. They were peppery and crispy on the outside, and warm and moist on the inside. Everyone loved it. The owner was super friendly, nice and was ready to make recommendations to us as we were deciding what to order. They must be pretty new still, because they are still setting up the different fountain drink machines. I'm excited to see what the future holds for them - we'll be back for sure!

We were in Escondido and craving a real burger, so we decided to check out Brgr Shack. We are so happy we did! Brgr Shack is located in the Vons shopping center, so there's plenty of parking (always a plus). The menu is simple, but good. Order at the counter, pay, fill your cup/drink, and take a seat. The food will be out shortly, it's made to order. Upon entry, we were greeted and an employee offered recommendations based on our preferences. I ordered the Shack Junior (one beef patty, pickles, cheese, ketchup). The burger was made fresh and full of flavor. The ingredients were great quality and super fresh. The meat was tender and juicy. My friend ordered the Pesto Brgr (double beef patty, balsamic onions, arugula, tomatoes, blue cheese, pesto aioli). The Pesto Brgr was very flavorful. The combination of blue cheese and pesto aioli was quiet surprising. I plan to order this burger next visit. The fries are thin potato slices with great seasoning. The fries were crisp and resembled the appearance of a potato chip. Great texture and taste. The menu also includes different types of chicken sandwiches and apps (loaded fries, tenders). If you are in Escondido, swing by for a good burger and fries, you'll thank me later.

Serving up delicious smash burgers for a great price. I've stuck with the classic so far and quality has been consistent. If you're craving a cheesy well made smash burger that's quite big, this is your spot. Fries have been pretty decent. They have a lot of drink options as well.

First time here, the burgers are delicious. The Pesto burger had a great earthy flavor, the Flaming is flavorful with a mild kick, and the classic is a delicious twist to a classic burger. The loaded fries were great, crispy and cheesy. The service was quick and friendly. It's a bright and clean environment, I highly recommend and enjoying a burger.

This place is great, but I wish the wait wasn't so long! I know they make it fresh and that's great, but I went when it was hardly busy and still waited almost 25 minutes for my order of two burgers. The burgers are great and the seasoning on the fries is fantastic! I love how the inside is decorated and the gentleman taking orders was very friendly.

I literally just walked out so happy I had to Yelp before the food coma hit! Window sign says it…read moreall: Fresh ground beef, fresh baked buns, fresh cut fries cooked in beef tallow, house made sauces, and no seed oils. If you're going to burger and fry it, this is the way! Price is a little up there, but your taste buds will understand why. The beef tallow fries were sooooo good. Crispy edges, fluffy center, ACTUAL potato. The garlic fries had bold fresh garlic and are cooked in avocado oil, but leaned a little soggy. Shockingly, I preferred the classic tallow fries. Husband and I split two doubles. The Garlic Mushroom Burger was juicy, savory, and loaded with mushrooms, pickles, American cheese, and garlic spread. The Flamin Smash had jalapeño, pickles, American cheese, and chipotle spread. Big flavor, gentle kick, & hella satisfying. Washed it all down with the Cucumber Lemonade that's sweetened with agave syrup. Not too sweet! I didn't catch the cashier's name, but he was super friendly and helpful. Cozy, clean spot with a patio on the side for extra seating. Service was crazy fast. This place is a bit far from me and I am already planning the drive back! That's how you know it smash-ed!

I ordered the Flamin' Smash and it definitely delivered on the smash. The "flamin'" part may have been a slight oversell since I didn't get much heat, but it was definitely fresh, delicious, and clearly made with high quality ingredients. The brioche bun was buttery, soft, and somehow still sturdy enough to survive the whole burger experience without disintegrating halfway through - maybe because they're baked fresh daily. All of the toppings were perfectly balanced supporting cast members contributing to a great overall experience. The jalapeños were freshly sliced in house and the pickles were crisp (not soggy or over-brined), lending a really nice freshness to the burger. The chipotle spread added a subtle smoky flavor, and the cheese was smooth and melty - both basically melding right into the burger without overpowering the star of the show.... The meat, which is high quality locally sourced and freshly ground, had a VERY crispy smash-style crust with just enough juice left in the center to keep it satisfying. For my own personal preference, it was bordering on leaning slightly too far into the smash style. I would have liked just a little more "burger-y-ness" in the middle. But honestly, I think that's more of a style preference than an actual criticism because for what it is, this is an excellent specimen of the genre and I genuinely enjoyed it. As for value and vibe, this place has the whole low-key viral local hole-in-the-wall energy down perfectly. It's basically a tiny little room with a walk-up order counter and a narrow wall bar with stools for waiting and/or eating. Functional, food-first, no-frills setup. Probably not your super bougie sit-and-chat-for-two-hours dinner spot, but honestly I'm perfectly happy trading fancy decor for this level of quality - especially at the prices. We're talking fast food-adjacent pricing for fresh ingredients, locally sourced beef, house-prepped toppings, and burgers that are clearly made with care. Overall this is a really great find for a food-first experience, especially if crispy smash-style burgers are your jam. I definitely want to come back with a friend so I can try their tallow fries (the loaded fries they were putting out looked FIRE), and I also have my eye on the Mushroom Garlic burger next time.

First off, Im 100% sure the owner here uses ChatGPT to answer all negative yelp reviews. Any business owner worth their weight is able to think for themselves and use their brain to answer unless they're completely illiterate or too incompetent to think of a good response. Second off, are they even a brewery? I see cans and taps of their own beer, but looking into the business, I dont think they own a brewery at all. This is more along the lines of a taphouse/pub. THAT BEING SAID, the food is quite nice. I think the pizza is great and it feels like they make and roll their own dough which is respectable and ambitious for a random little spot like this. But It is quiet...too quiet. The beer tender would constantly hangout at the handicap table talking to any co-worker with free time on their hands for a long time. Seems like a cushy job honestly. I'm assuming they would hold conversation with customers, but unfortunately There were no customers... its a ghost town, and i left thinking, "This place is creepy." I'll just pick up and eat the pizza at home next time. I'm waiting to see what generic CHATGPT response the owner gives me.
