We waited around 10 minutes for our food on a Sunday night. What impressed me the most was the unlimited refill for Tractor organic tea at $3. I had the Shack Burger, which was juicy with decent flavor, and while not undercooked, did not seem cooked through (appeared to have been cooked to below medium). It's probably just preference, but it would have been better cooked medium well. I also had the fries, which were nicely craip, but over-seasoned. Let me just start by saying, if you are thinking about going to BRGR SHACK, do it. Don't waste your time reading my review, just go and try it for yourself. I've been thinking about trying this place for a while now and I'm very upset with myself for waiting this long. It's not in the best location for you to see it and decide to stop on a whim just because it's a bit hidden in the Vons parking lot amongst other small businesses, but it's definitely worth giving it a try. Let me start with the fries, or are they chips? I don't know, they are called fries, and they are wonderful. They are sliced like potato chips, but thicker so they have the fry texture. Soft in the middle, crispy on the outside. Honestly they were some of the best fries I've had and unlike any others I've tried. And the fries were only $3.99 and enough for two people to share if I wasn't such a pig. :-) I noticed others commenting on the fries being over seasoned. I will agree with that. I think they use a cajun seasoning or like an Old Bay seasoning on the fries and it was a bit much. They could probably cut that in half. For your first time, I would ask for the fries plain and get a side of the seasoning. Now the burger. I got their basic double-smash burger. Lettuce, Tomato, Onion, Pickles, Ketchup, and Mustard. No mayo for me because I don't really like it. It was very very good. Nice texture to the meat like any good smash burger patty should have. Crisp on the edges. The bun was kind of like a potato bun or maybe a brioche. Either way, I very much liked it. $11.99 is pretty standard for a gourmet burger like this. In line with Smash Burger, 5 Guys, etc... BTW, they have like 40 different toppings available if you want to make your own Frankenstein burger too. Lastly, I decided to get 2 chicken strips to give then a try. I'm a sucker for a good tender. These tenders were some of the best I've ever had. They were very juicy and tender with a nice crispy and flavorful breading. I got a side of their hot sauce. It's basically a thick buffalo sauce. It was also very good. 2 tenders ran me $5.95. That's a little pricey for tenders in my opinion, but you know what, after trying them, I'm ok with the price because I liked them that much. Overall, this place is rather unassuming and kind of plain inside with basic tables and chairs. Nothing special when you walk in. The counter is meh as well, but let me tell you that whatever is happening in that back kitchen is pure magic to my mouth. I haven't been to a "fast food" type of joint like this and enjoyed my food this much in a long time. If you've read this far, why are you still reading and not in your car heading to BRGR SHACK? Maybe I'll see you there because I'm probably going to be a regular now. read more

Sad face. 2nd choice was mozzarella sticks and also none on the new menu. So I ordered a two piece chicken tender order cuz I like those and thought I'd give it a try. Super disappointed with the chicken. Had no flavor. Def need the sauce to eat and enjoy it. Their house sauce is a bit on the sweet side but okay. Burger was perfectly cooked. No notes there. Small shop packs some big flavors! I had heard great reviews about this place and they did not disappoint! Prices were reasonable for how filling and flavorful the burgers were.
