First time back at Chili's since Covid, and I have to say the atmosphere has changed greatly for the better. The restaurant felt welcoming, clean, and much more enjoyable than I remembered. I ordered the Steak Fajitas for Two with chips, guacamole, and a beer. Everything came out much quicker than expected, which was a pleasant surprise. The steak was cooked perfectly medium rare, the tortillas were warm and fresh, and the overall flavor was excellent. The only small downside was that the peppers and onions were underneath the steak, making them a little difficult to get to at first. Other than that, the meal was fantastic. The waitress was amazing throughout the visit. She checked in often, made sure everything was okay, and even ensured we had enough table space for all the food. The pricing was also very reasonable for the amount and quality of food we received. If you haven't been to Chili's lately, I highly recommend giving it another try. read more

This is my 2nd visit here. First time, was ok. This one was not good. We got here after 9pm. For starters, we were seated in very odd section. Out of all tables and booths, it's some random side one. The bathrooms. Disgusting!!!! Toilet paper all over ground. One stall missing seat covers, trash full and hand towels just falling out. Our server was very nice and did best he could but I just think it was establishment. Then came our orders, which took awhile, the food was good but everything else just made the visit less than what we expected. We usually have great visits at chilis. Came here after my bestie's little brother football game and never had I ever seen this place PACKED! I thought the parked cars were going to Olive Garden for their endless pasta bowls but NOPE, I was wrong, everyone was at Chili's and can't blame them. The marketing team needs a raise, with the whole WICKED promotion going on and $6 drinks of the Good Witch and the Witches brew, come on!!! In today economy, let's just drink up and get the Triple Dipper and call it a night out! The food did take a bit, three birthday parties going on and thank goodness we got the bottomless chips and salsa to keep us from being hangry. I've been coming into this Chili monthly-ish since mid-COVID, and restaurants started opening back up with restrictions. I had a great experience back then, and have been coming back ever since. The food has always been consistently good, I love their burgers, and their fajitas never disappoint. The service every time I've come in with my family has always been friendly, fast, and efficient. The servers are always smiling, and when I have questions they answers them with decent menu knowledge. Their dining room atmosphere can get crowded and boisterous during high times, so if you come on a weekend be prepared to wait for a table. But it's definitely worth the wait. Escondido restaurants tend to be lackluster at best, but this Chili's is definitely a step above. read more

The 3 for me deal is so good and affordable. We have been going to chili's just because they have that deal. My bf always gets the smash burger and I always get something different. The steak was pretty good and well made and had plenty of flavor. I think that was my favorite out of the chicken sandwich and carne asada plate. The carne asada was a bit too chewy for me. Service is very quick as soon as you order the drinks and starters they come out fast. The food also comes out a few minutes afterwords. You can go in and out of this place in less than a hour. All chili's chains look the same, a bar area and dining area, both places are quick to get your order. So there's no wait time. I've never waited to be seated or to be served. read more

Service was horrible! Our server never checked up on us. We had to ask her to clear our table. When we asked for refills, she only brought us 1 and then rolled her eyes when we said we all needed refills. In general when see needed something she rolled her eyes when we called her over. She would ignore our table and look away when she would pass by. She was not attentive at all!! We also tried calling one of the bussers or food runner not sure what exactly his role was but we called repeatedly saying excuse me 4 time and when we told him we tried to call him, in a very rude tone he said well then say excuse me, like we did not try that when the server and the busser/food runner went to the back they started looking at us laughing and talking pointing. Stopped by last night after a long day at SeaWorld. This was located right next to our hotel, which was great, as we haven't been to a Chili's in years, there is none where we live. We arrived around 7:30pm, there was no wait, host greeted us and was friendly. Our server, Arlette, (hopefully I spelled it correctly), she provided great customer service and was checking in on us through out our meal. Everything we ordered was really good, fresh, hot and we all enjoyed our meals. My fav was the skillet queso! So good with the chips. The triple dipper is a great choice to start off with, the burgers had a yummy taste, well cooked and seasoned. The boneless buffalo wings and the Nashville tenders were also great, crispy and the sauces flavorful. Overall the food was delish and the service was great! Amazing food and service! We each ordered the 3 For Me, which was a great deal which came with a drink, appetizer, and a main entree. I ordered the mango lemonade, chip and dip trio with steak queso, ranch, and salsa, and the Just Bacon burger. All the food was amazing and came out very quickly. So I went to the restaurant and tried to pay with my debit card at their pay point, but again, you HAVE to fill in a tip amount, and the machine suggests 20%. Before I've even tried the food? Lunch Letdown at Chili's--Saved by a Stellar Manager We came to Chili's Escondido for lunch today, hoping to enjoy another good meal like we did last week. Unfortunately, things didn't go smoothly. Our server, B_____y, got my husband's order wrong--he clearly asked for buffalo boneless chicken, but was served BBQ. When we pointed it out, she insisted multiple times that he had ordered BBQ. I told her I heard him say buffalo, but she kept repeating herself, making it feel like my word didn't matter. It was frustrating and honestly made us feel like we were being accused of lying. Instead of apologizing immediately, she turned it into a back-and-forth about who was right. Eventually, she asked if we wanted it replaced (yes, of course), but by then, the excitement for lunch had faded. I lost my appetite. I actually ate just portion of my lunch. :( But then--Beth, the manager, saved the day. To my surprise, she came to our table, introduced herself, and asked what happened. I was relieved to finally speak to someone who listened. Beth apologized immediately and made us feel comfortable again. Her calm and professional approach helped turn the situation around. Before leaving, we thanked Beth for her quick action. She encouraged us to give the restaurant another chance--and because of her commendable customer service, we will. I told her we came back today because we had such a great experience last week. It's just unfortunate that today didn't start off that way. Thanks to Beth, we're willing to try again. The food was great. The taste was amazing. I ordered the custom order of sausage, rice, and asparagus. I would say that the rice portion was on the small side almost like on a kids size but if you order appetizers its just right but if this is your only meal it would fill you but you could be hungry again in a couple of hours. The service was okay. My daughter needed more water and we had to ask two more times. The ambiance was on the noisy side today and would have love to not be seated to a very loud child. Honestly, Its Chili's. You know what you're getting yourself into when you decide to eat here. Our server was so nice and checked on us often. I was surprised at how fancy this restaurant is, and the wide selection of foods on their menu. They have soups, salads, quesadillas, burgers, and more. Alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, and our server was a nice woman. The only issue we had was when we tried to pay on the tablet; that thing is extremely slow and freezes while doing any transaction. Great experience here, though! So me and my girlfriend went to this Chilis Saturday night around 6:20ish, we're seated almost right away and within a reasonable time we are started with beverages. We wait around 10 minutes to learn that our server is running late and we're asked if we want any appetizers to get started and we order some fries. After waiting a bit we get our fries and by now we've been seated for about 20 minutes. Over 20 minutes passes by and by this time, the appetizer of fries are finished, we haven't got our order taken, and we also noticed TWO people cleaning ONE table. I never complain and i'm very patient, lenient, and empathic for people working in this kind of industry, as I can understand some may not get paid fairly or simply because it is overwhelmingly busy, but as someone who grew up on this place with excellent service every-time, i come to wonder if its the change in people or simply because I no longer am a child going with my family and rather a 16 year old going with another 16 year old. A reoccurring question I had to myself regarding this situation was simple; did they take so long to take our order simply because of an age stereotype, that maybe we won't pay because we're teenagers? Or that we have less needs than other customers because we are younger? I don't think we'll be coming back here, we (me and my girlfriend) have been two various places like Red Robin or Texas Roadhouse and never received this under grading treatment, and yes some who read this may think they were plenty busy, but also keep in mind two servers cleaning one table, a group of people who came in after us getting their order taken right away, and us waiting patiently for an unreasonable amount of time, and the fact of that we were only 2 people. All I ask is for more fair treatment towards ALL customers; in the end we ended up asking for the check, paying, and leaving. (OH also majority of the people walked in and asked for a table right then and there. I can't say for certainty none of those people made some type of reservation, but I can definitely take account that 2 groups of people asked for a table and got taken their order before us even though we came in at the same time) read more

I ordered a smokehouse combo ( Ribs, Elote, brisket quesadilla, fries and garlic bread). It was satisfactory. Without a doubt the quesadilla was trash. They used the cheapest tortillas I've ever seen. Micro shredded cheese that didn't melt... pretty much inedible. On a positive note their hamburgers were pretty darn good. The service was great which made up for the mediocre food. Their bar area was quite busy despite the restaurant being empty. - Not sure how cheap you can make a quesadilla but somehow Chili's figured it out. - Drink refill service was exceptional. - When in doubt their burgers are always juicy and tasty. - Ribs are okay. - REALLY good deep fried pickle chips. read more

Weather today was 100 F. They did not have the air conditioner on and it they did it was very minimal. Not sure if they are trying to saving money or something, but so many people were uncomfortable and hot while eating in there. One of the customers had to be sent to the hospital from what appeared to be a Heat stroke. People go out to restaurants to enjoy themselves and feel comfortable, but obviously this restaurant doesn't care. Please save your money and go somewhere else. read more

Service was amazing. Wasn't until a few hours later my girlfriend said she wasn't feeling well. Getting sick like how she is now is a big let down from this establishment. Hmmm. Really? Probably the nastiest place I've ever eaten at. Disgusting. I'm sorry, but when just about everything I touched had a nasty scuzzy feel, sticky or crusty. How about wiping the place down. Perhaps a little vinegar in the water spray bottles to get a fresh douche around the place. General Manager needs to be a visitor for a day. Also, I don't normally complain about, or yet even eat at corporate chain restaurants like this, but my son was craving one of their specialty cocktails and was paying this eve. I immediately noticed the size and dimensions of the plates and the portions on those smaller plates. I guess I used to be a fan of Chili's, but after learning a thing or two about culinary adventuring, I stopped eating here unless I am traveling and Chili's happens to be the only food establishment nearby my hotel. Was a little hesitant to go back here again for take out as our last couple of times, items were missing, didn't taste good, etc. But this time, Chili's is back to what they were before covid.
