I was asking if I was able to upgrade my two sides to a large, the worker responded with "no you can't, it doesn't come like that. I asked her if they closed early she said no go back around through the drive-through I went back around through the drive-through and they said that they can only give me thighs for chicken because they shut their kitchen down early. I don't see why you would keep your restaurant open if you can't give your customers chicken. You're a chicken restaurant. . It's the noisiest restaurant I've ever been to. The cook, who is located just on the other side of the counter, slams his knife constantly while cutting the chicken. It's deafening and ear piercing. Downgrade 2022. Perhaps a reflection more against the corporation (a private equity company) than this individual location. When El Pollo Loco decided to kill their salsa bar they lost a key factor when deciding where to eat for dinner. I used to be able to get as much salsa and a variety of choices without shame. Now I'm lucky to get two thimble size containers of salsa every time I go up to the counter. Just not worth it for dining in anymore. They claim it's for the customer's safety but that doesn't hold true. Keeping the salsa bar full and clean is a lot of work, I get that. However if you can't serve fresh salsa every day because of lack of employees just say that, don't lie and say it's because of our safety.. Summation - No longer an option for dine-in. When you factor in the negative reviews on missing items from the drive-thru I'm struggling to find a reason to come back.. - The inside of the restaurant was immaculately clean. So I decided to go ahead with the classic 4-Piece meal with flour tortillas rice and beans sound like a good choice got back to my office to eat and to my amazement I've never seen such thin or sad chicken in my life. not only did it look like the skin was ripped off the breast it was paper thin so was the thigh meat and usually when you get a half a chicken to get half a chicken with a full breast and thigh meat leg wing I've cooked chicken most my life rotisserie style baked grilled never have I seen some chicken as Petty as this. This has become our new go-to post lunch, after school, pre dinner, mostly healthy, mini meal place! When we stick to what we usually order, we enjoy our food! The usual for us is the BRC burrito meal from the kid's menu with a Mac n' cheese side and a 2 piece meal with beans, rice or coleslaw and corn tortillas. It's just right! We got creative today decided to try the taquito salad because it looked so yummy in the picture. We knew the salad would not look exactly like the advertised image but...oh well. When we got home what we found was one salad was missing the taquitos, both had very little salsa, and tiny bit of dark guacamole. The cubed chicken was pretty good, though! (Called and they will get us the missing taquitos when we stop by!) My note on Fast food salads: After years of being wary of the idea of eating a 'pre-made' salad from a fast food place, I have been pleasantly surprised by the ones I have tried lately from various establishments but, these did not make the cut! We will definitely still continue to order from this location. The chicken is delicious, the staff is friendly, and my kiddo loves the BRC burrito!
