We stopped by here on a Saturday for lunch and it was pretty good. Only a lunch menu so the choices were limited but we still found a few things we liked. The waitress was ok then she changed out with a nicer one so we were happy with the service. Everything came out as ordered except the mini crab cake. We were expecting something larger. Thats what she said. The place is really nice and organized and well decorated, as you would expect from a Brigantine. The food was very good. We ordered the bacon wrapped prawns, ceviche and a single crab cake. The food was really good but the crab cake was not worth $21. The ceviche was different than typical ceviche but tasted very good. Overall the meal was nice and we enjoyed the lunch.

I have been coming here for most of my life. Lauren was our server tonight and was absolutely amazing and super attentive to all of our needs and allergies that we had at our table. We had a group of 10 of us so we sat at one of the high top tables in the bar area. We have our usual appetizers that we ordered like napa valley nachos, calamari, shrimp cocktails and of course some drinks. We all come here and sit in the bar since we can order tacos al acarte and I always get the swordfish taco. I am already craving this meal again so I am sure we will be back soon!

we went for my birthday lunch arrived around 12:30pm. We had to wait 10 minutes to be seated. I ordered Morocan Salmon with cous cous and veggies and It was wonderful. My hubby got the crabstuffed prawns with bacon and mashed potatoes and green beans. It said on the menu it comes with white cream sauce with jalapeno and that is too hot for him so I asked our waitress Kristen to hold the sauce and it was perfect. It is a bit noisy in the dining room and was better after many people left so if you can go when it isn't super busy that is more pleasant. There were other birtdays there, this seems like a go to for celebrations. They gave us a complimentary creme brulee with fresh fruit, photo attached.

I'll be honest -- I'm not a seafood person, which made me a little hesitant walking into a place known for just that. But I was dining with three seafood lovers, so we gave Brigantine a shot, and I'm really glad we did! While my friends dove into everything from oysters to fish tacos (and were raving about it the whole time), I went with the filet mignon, and it was absolutely perfect. Cooked exactly how I ordered it -- tender, flavorful, and paired with great sides. I never once felt like I was "settling" just because I don't eat seafood. The whole meal was well-balanced and delicious. Service was great, the atmosphere was classy but comfortable, and everything came out beautifully plated. Now, the one letdown? The crème brûlée. It looked promising, but unfortunately it was cold and a bit watery -- not the creamy, custardy texture you hope for. A bit of a disappointing finish to an otherwise fantastic meal. Still, the overall experience was really solid. Whether you're a seafood fan or not, Brigantine has something for everyone, and they do it well.

Anai took amazing care of me in the lounge today. She is welcoming, knowledgeable, helpful, and has a great team to support her with attentive service. There was a huge rush around 4:30pm that I'm not sure the staff was equipped to handle but Anai kept a smile on her face and wasn't phased by impatient, snobby patrons who have no clue what it's like to work in the restaurant business. I loved my food and iced tea, the open airy ambiance with nautical decor and green plants that can be seen from every window. Peripheral bar height booth seating is super comfy. Baseball games on the TV. Don't miss the $7 happy hour menu beginning at 3pm daily and ending at closing during weekdays, if I remember correctly. I've heard their taco Tuesday deal is a steal as well. As long as I've lived in the area I've loved this place. The food and staff like Anai will keep me coming back.

Only been here once but it'll be an Esco regular stop. We had a good size group and the unanimous vote was get the Brussels, they were the table favorite. We had a fantastic waitress and she gave us the pro tip of adding pasta to the scampi- best decision. After our first round of drinks someone mentioned they want something less sweet than the Prosecco Lavender and she offered to have the bar tender make it with slightly less syrup- it was perfect. She was attentive and helpful, the ambiance is great, and we enjoy the bar/lounge. They have happy hour every day but Saturday, great house cocktails, and a patio.

The wait staff was excellent and our server was awesome! However the food was majorly lacking for the price we were paying. I got the crab stuffed shrimp with mashed potatoes and green beans. The green beans were practically raw and unseasoned. The mashed potatoes were also unseasoned and tasted straight out of a box. The stuffed shrimp (wrapped in bacon) was excellent for the first piece, then the rest had shrimp cooked to death. It was like biting into rubber. My partner had the shrimp and grits, her shrimp was inedible and had to be sent back and she didn't order again. For the price you pay, the food should not be this poor. I understand we came on a Friday night and it was busy, but I'd rather wait an extra 15 or 20 mins to get good food. Rather then pay 40 dollars for rubber. Will not be back.

The place feels welcoming right away, clean, modern, and decked out nicely without being over-the-top. Our server was spot-on from the start--super knowledgeable about the menu, quick with solid recommendations, and just attentive enough without hovering. Service was incredibly fast, which is a huge plus when you're hungry for that fresh seafood fix. We dove right into the boils (you know the drill: everything gets dumped out on the table lined with paper, and you just go to town cracking shells and getting messy--it's part of the fun!). The flavors were absolutely on point--fresh ingredients shining through, and the seasoning was bold and balanced. Word of warning: when they say "spicy," they mean it! The heat builds in the best way, but it's flavorful heat, not just burn-your-mouth-for-no-reason. We loved the combo of sauces (Cajun, garlic butter, etc.--pick your poison), and everything tasted incredibly fresh. The corn on the cob was perfectly cooked--sweet, juicy, and grilled just right. Potatoes, sausage, the whole classic lineup was spot-on. Presentation? It's rustic by nature (no fancy plating here--you're eating straight off the table), but it was done well and felt authentic to the experience. Overall, it was a super enjoyable meal--messy in the best possible way, full of flavor, and left us all stuffed and happy. Prices felt fair for the quality and portion sizes, especially for a group share. We'll definitely be back--maybe next time trying the Escondido Surfing Special or some of the Asian-fusion options on the menu. If you're craving a real seafood boil experience in Escondido, give Surfing Crab a shot. You won't regret it. Highly recommend!

We were the only people in the restaurant and we made it there in time for the lunch special, which was a bonus. I was super hungry, I ordered a mango lassi and chicken MoMo for appetizer. When they brought out the mango lassi they also surprise me with a nice little bowl of a yellow daal soup. I scarfed them both down within minutes, which I kind of regret, because by the time of the rest of the food came out, I was almost full. The lunch specials came out before the MoMo but no big deal. The lunch special is really a great value. They give you a ton of food. You get two of the lunch items with rice and naan. I ate a little bit of it, but ended up taking most of it to work for lunch the next day. I had the vegetable korma and paneer tikka masala. I didn't get any spicey because I wasn't sure how hot they were gonna make it and the vegetable korma really could've used a little bit of spice, but it was still delicious. The paneer tikka masala was outstanding, had so much flavor in it. The MoMo was also fantastic and we did eat all of those because I didn't think they were going to hold up well if we took them home. I love how they made them with almost like a little cup at the top that you could put some of the sauce in. Don't be like me though, and give them a few minutes to cool down, the broth inside the dumplings is super hot. I was so excited I bit into it a minute or two after it came out and I wish I had waited a little longer. I would absolutely return to this restaurant when I am in the area.

The schwarma is seasoned very well, and not chewy. The rice is also very good, and flavorful. The hummus is one of my favorites, although this time it was a little thicker than usual. I love the dressing they use on the salad, I could eat a whole bowl of the stuff. The salad had a lot of cucumber, cut in big chunks, which is how i like it. The bread is enough for 2 people at least, so i would keep that in mind. 2 of us shared it and we still had some left over that we couldn't finish. The portions in general are very big, for me it was enough to dance leftovers of everything except the salad.
