    Salmon Benedict
    Jeremy G.

Stopped in mid-morning and it wasn't very crowded, which made for a really pleasant experience. The service was excellent, and both our drinks and food came out in a reasonable amount of time. We ordered the Salmon Benedict, and it honestly exceeded expectations. The salmon was cooked perfectly, and their house-made hollandaise sauce was especially good--much better than I anticipated. The drinks were solid as well and paired nicely with the meal. Overall, a great breakfast/brunch spot. I'd definitely recommend giving this place a try. Just keep in mind that all Swami's locations close at 3 PM, so plan accordingly.

We are from out of town, met up w/family members who love this place. Food: 10/10 huge portions that I got to take leftovers home for the next day lol Service: 7.5/10 it was Sunday morning around 10am so kinda busy We ordered The Big Breakfast & I had the Chorizo hash, both were delicious

Half the coffee's were empty, both creamers were empty. Nobody gives a crap.

What happened to this place, no creamer, empty coffee, lack of attention on any level. I never complain about anything, but this needs attention. Ordered over easy eggs and they came out overcooked, ordered a medium rare steak, came out well done. Went to get coffee, decaf was empty, hazelnut was empty, all creamers, empty. There seems to be no safeguards to any standards in this restaurant.

This is a great little breakfast spot in Escondido. They've got a lot to choose from on the menu, and everything we tried was very good! I love that they have their own little coffee bar that you can self-serve. Definitely worth a try!

I've said it before and I'll say it again ~ Swami's FOREVER! It never misses! So many great options, from healthy to not AS healthy - but truly something to offer for everyone. Chill vibes, great service.

Dropped by here for brunch when I was pregnant in my second trimester (August 2024) and limited with food options. I was happy to see omelettes that I could eat. If you're curious, I've been trying to avoid gluten, dairy, and soy. I got the Best of Escondido Omelette with hollandaise on the side. The omelette was huge and hearty. I ended up saving half to eat for later on. I was a tad disappointed about their wraps which only come as whole wheat, and they no longer offer spinach - as there wasn't much of a market/appetite for it. Tip for anyone that decides to take that to go - make sure you have tomatoes on the side! I got mines to go (as I needed to have some sort of snack - gluten or not) and it was super soaked by the time I decided I wanted to eat it later on in the day. There's a small parking lot and street parking. During rush hour it could be hard to find a spot. The interior look is very aesthetic and pleasing to the eye.

One thing I love about this spot is the self serve coffee bar. I love the coffee flavors, the variety of creamers, the choices in sweeteners. And my coffee here is always perfect!!!! I came in on a chill Tuesday afternoon. Andrea was my server, and she was great!! I ordered my normal. (Pineapple Pancake and hard scrambled eggs). They were delicious!! Let's talk about clean. I travel with a service dog. So, I can always tell how clean a place is, based on what he sees on the floor and how dirty he is after. Well, he didn't have any extra dirt or any extra treats from the floor while we were there. That makes me so happy. I enjoy this spot. I feel like it's one of the hidden gems in Escondido. Especially on weekdays.

The place was packed with happy people and enjoying the food. Portions are huge!!! Each plate can easily be a sharing plate. The new location must be working well. I saw a patio which looked inviting. For coffee lovers, there's a coffee bar and it's self-serve. However, please be respectful and don't linger and block others from trying to get their coffee. Had a problem with the table rocking. Invest in shims to balance the table. It is unnerving to see your table rocking back and forth like you are on a cruise ship. However, kudos to the Hostess/Server and Bus Person for attempting to adjust the table. We eventually moved to another table. The food was good. I got a perfectly medium rare steak. Although, I wish it was thicker. The steak was approximately 3/8" that shrank down to 1/4". Still tasty and probably will try another dish on the Special Menu. More satisfying. Lots of street parking around the restaurant just off the Centre City Parkway going West on Grand Avenue. We are certainly going back to try other delicious food.

We were seated right away and chose to sit at the patio since it was such a beautiful day outside. The server came right away. I ordered the ahi tuna wrap. I got salad as a side. Also came with a pickle. It was good and fresh. Good service, good food.

    Tropical Salmon salad

Most of the food is pretty good. The Tropical Salmon salad is the bomb. Get the gluten free banana walnut pancakes. Best in San Diego even if you aren't gluten free.

They serve a fair variety of sandwiches and other little items to buy such as coffee and cookies. The location is small with about a total of 5 seating areas including both inside, and out. For service they're all very friendly since it's primarily the family owners who serve you. You go up to the front and place your order and they'll bring the food you order to your table, they do close early since this is a breakfast spot first and foremost, so expect to arrive early if you want to eat here. I usually order The Works in a half since a full size sandwich is well over $20, excluding any additions or substitutions you may make. The sandwich does taste really good, but it does come at a steep price. They've grown in popularity over the years, which may have influenced their pricing (by a lot) which in my opinion does outweigh it's value. While I do enjoy my infrequent visits, I can say this location is more of an occasional treat, as opposed to a constant meal to be had often.

They have a good selection of beer, milkshakes, and drinks. You order at the counter and they'll bring the food to your table. It's hard to find a burger place with all my favorites: an egg, bacon, and avocado. The bacon was crispy, the egg was medium and wasn't too runny, and the brioche bread was a little sweet and fluffy. They use angus beef for their patties. You can also split your fries which I love! I got to try the onion rings and sweet potato fries. I wish the sweet potato fries were crispy. They were more on the soggy side. The onion rings batter was a lil thicker than I like. The batter overpowered the onion. We also got the Cajun wings to try which was nice and crispy! They give you a few sauces on the side so you can dip it. I got the ranch which was so good with the wings, fries and burger. The milkshakes are pretty delicious! We got the classic vanilla one. It was a pretty thick shake so you know they use legit ice cream! I also liked the peach lemonade. I would check this place out if you're in the area!

The lady working noticed this and asked me to order first. Humanity still exists! They also check on your periodically even though this isn't true table service which is a nice touch. On the flip side, they did try and upsell me to add bacon bits to my dish which I was all for until I saw it was a $3.50 upcharge. I asked them to remove it. A little too steep.
