Visit Chicago for the first time. I was looking for a place to have dinner and I ran into this place on Mannheim Rd. The atmosphere was very familiar with the very friendly waitresses. Fast service, I didn't have to wait long. The food is very good, it tastes all fresh and a good portion. My husband ordered a shrimp cocktail, he liked it a lot. I ordered some very delicious shrimp, by the way. I would return to this place again.

Great local business close to O'Hare. Nice staff and good service. The food is always excellent and the prices are fair. Lots of good choices on the menu. I'm a fan of the shrimp dinners. Lots of food but you walk away satisfied not stuffed. Free parking lot.

Great service. Amazing food!! It's to dream about and I have the pickiest mom and she enjoyed it. I had to bring her 3x and family. Such a great place to eat always packed.

Delicious and fresh! Love the service and complimentary ceviche! Very clean environment! We will definitely be back to try other dishes and of course the yummy drinks that paired so well with our seafood dishes

Bug in food

Found a bug in my food. Felt sick right afterwards/ beware. hoping it's not a roach.

Queso Fundido with Shrimp

My friend and I ate here before heading to the Allstate Arena. The food was amazing. Starting with the verde salsa and ceviche that they bring to your table immediately. I ordered a margarita on the rocks with Patron Silver. Yum! Not too sour. The Queso Fundifo with shrimp was served with warm tortillas and two additional sauces. This appetizer did not disappoint. We shared the shrimp enchiladas with special house sauce for our meal. The enchiladas were delicious! Our sever was very nice. Great experience all around.

I would like to point out first that the food at this location is very good. That been said, my issue today is not in regards to the food quality and more towards customer services. I'm a regular client of this establishment, my family comes here almost every week and me and my son come here very often as well for their delicious filete al ajo. That been said I cannot understand that usually the people at this establishment know me and my son and especially since we always order the same plates because is our favorite usually they know that my plate has to be non spicy since I do not eat spicy food at all, but today thinking that they would do it same as always, because it was a new server( not her fault) they cook my order spicy. After noticing this i rely the info to my server that o don't eat spicy then she said that she need it to ask the owner if they could make a new one for me since if they requested they would be charge for it. It's unbelievable to me that after asking him he told them no, they can't do nothing about it. So I had to buy a second plate non spicy just because the owner of this establishment is so cheap that he would not aloud any courtesy to the clients. Thanks for your consideration sir.

Gumbo was good, with a good roux, but slightly sweet and no real spice to it. It had plenty of shrimp, and I got a couple of meals out of it. If I were in New Orleans, it would probably receive a low score, but by Chicago standards, it is good. They used okra in their gumbo, which some may consider sacrilege. However, it was properly prepared, and I like okra, so I approve. Their jambalaya and fried rice were approved of by others in the family. Overall, good food and good value. If it weren't for my gout, I'd be eating here a lot more often.

We started with a mango margarita -- I tried it on the rocks and blended -- and both were refreshing without being too sweet & had the right amount of liquor. My boyfriend ordered a michelada and enjoyed it a lot. We had plenty of shots throughout the night as we watched the game and chatted. For appetizers, I got the cold shrimp and octopus cocktail along with half a dozen oysters. The oysters were so fresh that we ended up ordering another half dozen. For our entrée, we shared the Chapuzón, which came with cooked shrimp, octopus, and oysters in a flavorful house sauce that paired really well with everything. The sauce is so addicting, we ordered some rice to enjoy it some more. We finished with a flan that wasn't the typical style you see everywhere, but it tasted really good and was a nice way to end the meal. Danny, the owner, was very welcoming and attentive the entire time. The service was great, and the restaurant was clean and comfortable. Overall, it's a spot I'd definitely recommend for anyone who enjoys mariscos. Ask him about his catering options for the holidays! Pricing isn't an issue in my opinion, you pay for what you get and we left very full and satisfied. We will definitely be coming back!

A good fish taco would consist of lime and a sauce but all it was a plain tempura fish fillets and lettuce nothing else. The margarita was like any other you get. The sauce they were tossed in was flavorful but the wings itself were dry and tough. The service was good but honestly the restaurant was average overall.

The restaurant is small, with limited seating, but brightly decorated and immersive on the surf decor. I ordered the fish n chips, and they let me know it would be about 12 minutes, because they make everything fresh. No problema, dude. Beach Boys, surf music and other mellow tunes play overhead while you wait. It wasn't long at all, and I was presented with three (3!!!) crisply battered fish filets on a mound of seasoned shoestring fries. It was hot (prepared to order, remember), and delicious. The fries were awesome as well. I thought it was a little pricey, but the portions were large and I had plenty to take away. Hubby and I wanted some seafood and we passed by Surf's Up a few times so it's long overdue for us to stop and try the food today. The owner, Lisa, was working behind the counter. She is so sweet and certainly very proud of her restaurant! We asked her for recommendations and she was happy to share some of the top preferred items of guests. She gave us time to look over the menu. I settled on the fried catfish dinner with a side of grits, greens & a roll. Hubby wanted fish and chips with a roll. Lisa told us that everything is made fresh to order so it would be about 15-20 mins. We weren't in any hurry, but we appreciated the heads up and the fact that it was all freshly made. The food arrived crispy and hot and oh so delicious! My catfish was so flakey. The grits and greens were the perfect sides to go with it. Hubs really enjoyed his fish and chips. The fries were so good, we couldn't stop eating them. Lisa also sold us on the fresh bread pudding, but we so full so we had to take it go. Just finished it tonight and it was even more delicious than she described! We will certainly be returning to try the shrimp po' boy and other items on her menu! Plus more bread pudding. Don't pass up this cute little place with delicious fresh seafood and desserts plus friendly service.

We were seated promptly in the formal dining room which was nicely decorated. Our semi-circular booth was spacious and comfortable. There were different sections in the restaurant that were more casual, tailored to the different tastes of the clients. Overall, food was delicious and portions were huge. I had a Boston Clam Chowder and a Gulf Grouper as the main. I would usually order a salad, but I didn't this time as each entrée came with a large plate of homemade roasted vegetables and wild rice. The Boston Clam Chowder had real pieces of clams in it. However, it was just lukewarm. My grouper looked great and tasted flavorful, but it was somewhat over-cooked (and therefore not tender), which was unfortunate. My wife had a bowl of Lobster Bisque and an order of Stuffed Flounder that had crabmeat sandwiched in the fish. She absolutely loved her choices. Our daughter had a Charbroiled Walleye and liked it too. Her only disappointment was the garlic bread being hard and dry. Our daughter and I each had a Chardonnay Stags Leap which was good, while my wife had a Virgin Mojito and truly enjoyed it. Surprisingly, the highlight of the night was the slice of tiramisu that our friendly and professional server Greg brought to me! It had a lit candle for my birthday, and Greg teamed up with two other waitresses enthusiastically sang me a happy birthday song! The tiramisu was excellent, creamy and not too sweet. I am not a dessert person but really appreciated this. I have a suggestion for the restaurant: as the portions were so large and each of us brought home half of it, it would have been nice that they make the portion 40% to 50% smaller, and lower the average price of $40 per entrée accordingly. It might help attract more customers. Just my two cents. All in all, I had a lovely birthday dinner at Boston Fish Market. Ambience was good, and service was outstanding. We will certainly return again.

Both were around $11 each. In our seafood boil we both got a half pound of snow crabs and shrimp and some fillers like corn and potatoes. I got around 1 lb altogether and my bf got around 1 1/2 lb and we were both stuffed by the end of the night. Sadly they were out of crawfish but I am excited for crawfish season. Total bill ended up around $160 with tip which is pricey and next time we would order just the wings and cut down on the sausage potatoes and other add ons. Highly recommend this place and will be coming back once I get my money up.
