Large space...we were greeted as soon as we entered. Since we were waiting on others asked where the restroom was. Restroom large and spacious for the most part clean. Did not like that there is No Hot Water when washing hands. Turned the hot water spicket nothing came out. Once I came out found out the men's room was not working so the men had to use the same restroom..I stood guard outside the door for one of the men in our group had to use the restroom. (Hmmmm) More of the people arrived and we were seated. The server allowed time for us to get settled then brought out chips & salsa. Well, to tell the truth the salsa really needed to be seasoned. I added a little salt, however it still tasted bland. We ordered beverages and a pitcher of margaritas. The margaritas were okay. Some in our party ordered other drinks (at the close found they were charged for extra drinks). A few of us ordered the same meal Fajita Tacos... my Tacos only had one with the fajita veggies and the others had either green pepper strips and one of the other onions not a mix on all three tacos. The steak tacos were tender and tasty. The chicken, although tasty was slightly dry. The rice and refried beans were extremely bland, literally no flavor so I added salt and salsa to try giving some flavor. Since it was a group event, maybe the kitchen felt rushed. If in the area again I would try another Mexican restaurant.

I thought I'd give this place a 2nd chance. Overpriced for the quantity and quality of Burritos. The Pico de Gallo was decent, Chips were crispy! Good Luck Mex.Rest.

So I came in through the back and the place seems echoey or cavernous. The decor is a Pepsi pink slash brown and deep red walls. There is no music just a tv playing somewhere randomly in the background. I came in on a Friday for lunch and discovered that none of the signs in the window were relevant as far as any drink specials at all. I have to say that this was pretty disappointing. I saw $2 or $3 beers and thought this is going to be good until I was able to get none of that. I asked the waitress for a lunch menu and she said this was it. I said ok and looked at it and saw entrees. So I asked again and she said that this was the always menu. That too rubbed me the wrong way. The atmosphere and pricing were impressive but not in the way that I think they want to make an impression. I asked if the burrito with cheese was better than without... like did it add any flavor and I was asked back if I liked cheese. So like... no help at all. The burrito itself had ground beef that was so finely ground it blended in with the refried beans. It didn't taste bad actually but if you're a texture person the ground beef may be a shock. Overall I was pretty underwhelmed with every aspect of the place. This town is seeing a bit of a renaissance and these guys better tune in or they won't be around long. Start with having ANY sort of special on a Friday. ‍

everyone is always so nice and the food is consistently good. Quality hasnt diminished.in the 5 yrs I have been a customer. Always clean and bright despite being an old building. I care about the food, not the cafeteria tables as someone else mentioned. DELICIOUS steak fajitas for less cash than most mexican restaurants. I love this place; the proprietors acually care about the quality of your experience. I will remain a customer for the consistency of quality.

Yelp's "More Business Info" says that only beer and wine are available. Do they not have proper Margaritas?

I got a margarita there one day, so I'd say it's possible!

If you are looking for a good ol Mexican place, this is the place for you! They do take reservations and are pretty sizable. We went on Saturday night which was a bit crazy. It was very crowded and we were concerned about the service. While the service was a little bit on the slower side and we were there for almost 90 minutes, all the food came out hot and delicious. I got the Enchiladas in Mole Sauce which was excellent. It also came with a soup or salad which was a nice surprise. I went with the black bean soup which was great! If there was any downside, my House Margarita tasted a little weird. I probably could have complained, but I kept with it. Pretty good size, but I think there was a little too much tequila in it! Either way, this place isn't inexpensive, but you do get quite a bit of food and everybody at my table enjoyed their meal. Sometimes thats enough! This is a great icon in this part of Chicago/Rosemont.

Maria's has gone downhill!…read more Very disappointed with Maria's today. I'm never going back after what happened today. First of all, there's nothing vegan on the menu. So when I usually order veggie tacos or they're called vegetariano I used to have a good time with them. This time, I ordered the vegetariano tacos and I said no cheese and I also ordered the black bean soup. The black bean soup came with a whole bunch of grated cheese on top of it. She dumped it on the table and left. She just walked away. In my mind, the waitress was telling me to uck off. I could be wrong. Instead of waiting for her to come back and sending the soup back, I scooped up all the grated cheese and threw it on the plate next to me and ate the black bean soup. When the veggie tacos came, there was no salsa. So I waited for the waitress to come back, and I said, I want some green and red salsa, and she brought me two bottles of hot sauce and left. So my sister asked the busboy in spanish, "green and red salsa" and he said, okay, I'll get it for you. He didn't, the waitress came back, and we told her I wanted green and red salsa, and she told me the green salsa was very hot. I told her to take back the veggie tacos cause they're cold already, and I can't eat them. Wth all this back-and-forth, I'm now in front of naf knaf grill, and I'm gonna get some falafel there. What a waste of time I'm never going back to marias, again, never, never never never! I think the waitress did not speak English that well too bad. So sad, i'm never going there again and I eat veggie tacos several times a week, and many other places which are better than maria's. If you're thinking about going there, forget it, there's much better places out there in this world that are vegan friendly.

So, I stopped in during the week, just after lunch time and found this little hole-in-the wall of a restaurant conveniently nestled in a shopping center next to the local Walmart. Even though I walked in and the restaurant was completely empty, the pure vibrancy of the decor and the cheerfulness of the staff encouraged me to stay. Not to mention that the aroma making its way out from the kitchen was absolutely mouth-watering. I took a seat at the bar while I perused the menu and was delighted in the simplicity of it. You know the food is about to be fire when the menu is simple and a restaurant focuses on what it does well. In addition to the excellent service, the food was absolutely phenomenal. I started off with some chips and salsa.... which was delightfully flavorful and perfectly crisp. Then, I had a bowl of the tortilla soup. Each spoonful was like deja vu. Each bite made me feel like I was in my grandmother's kitchen as a little girl all over again. The broth was perfectly seasoned and each bite came with a chunk of chicken and an assortment of veggies... truly perfecto! Once I was done with the appetizers, I made my decision to try two tacos from the menu. The first was a salmon taco--and it didn't TASTE FISHY. It was grilled to perfection and then paired with an unexpected yet delicious topping of crispy potato strings and chipotle aioli. I ate every bite of this. It was the perfect combination of crunch and flavor, I just couldn't get enough. Then I also ordered the carne asada a cabron taco. Simple, yet dynamically flavorful. I was so full at this point but took this one home to eat at a later time. Still as amazing as the day I ordered it i'm sure. While I neglected to have any desserts or margaritas here, I was assured that they are just as remarkable as anything else. I had a wonderful meal, excellent service and I greatly look forward to going back if i'm ever in the area again for work. 10/10 Highly recommend!!

I ordered the flautas. They were exactly what you want flautas to be: present, edible, and not causing any problems. The vegetarian tacos with avocado, however, were the sleeper hit of the evening and probably deserved more attention than they got. But let's talk about Abby. Abby was funny, fast, attentive, and somehow managed to appear at our table exactly when we needed something. More importantly, she made margaritas that tasted like they had been blessed by a tequila wizard. I'm convinced she put extra love in mine. Either that or she saw I was from out of town and decided I needed professional assistance. At one point I started wondering whether Abby actually works for Lady Dahlia or if she just travels the country improving restaurant experiences one table at a time. The food was solid. The atmosphere was great. Abby was a five-star experience trapped inside a four-star review. If every restaurant had an Abby, Yelp would go out of business because nobody would have anything to complain about.
