The burritos were on the small side but the flavor was insane! The rice was great, the beans, the steak! Just really good. Red and green salsa was good, green needed salt and the red was memorable! The bean dip had either arbol sauce or chipotle, I'm leaning towards chipotle due to heat but it was good! Overall I can't really complain but just a few things that I feel could have been better. Unfortunately I have been extremely disappointed by the customer service in this restaurant - I called about two weeks ago - was on the phone, on hold for over 5 mins & then got hung up on. I tried calling again & it was a busy signal. I went online & saw the website has a way to place an order online. DoorDash & another app. I have a DoorDash account, so it was fair & easy for me to make the order of 4 burritos. It gave me a 17-20 mins window & I was on my way from the store to pick up. When I arrived, they let me know they had canceled my order because they "no longer work through DoorDash" , excuse me? It's March 22nd & I see clearly they STILL service through DoorDash. The owner is great, she's very welcoming, but her son is a terrible host. He also did not make it up to the customer by apologizing, he simply refused service all together. Hidden Gem in Vallejo. Been around for a while and don't know how I missed this place. I was hankering for some Ceviche and didn't know where there was a place nearby that had some. Found this place on yelp and had good ratings so I went there. It was out of the way. Ordered Ceviche on a Tostada. It was so good, I ordered another. Then I checked out the other menu items. Out of curiosity I ordered there carne asada Street Taco. And wow, whatever they marinated the meat with was out of this world. This restaurants 7 Mares Soup that had fish, squid, octopus, mussels, oysters, carrots, broccoli, and add to your taste unions, and parsley in a broth that was semi-spicy had to be the finest Mexican seafood stew I have ever enjoyed. The chimichanga was how it should be; crispy and stays crispy on the outside. The carne asada was super flavorful and moist. Refried beans and rice were on point. Glad I found this place! Ordered the Ceviche, molcajete and a michelada and all were very good. The Miche was super flavorful and one of the best I've had in the Bay Area. The ceviche has a unique taste- almost like a roasted chilé- it was really yummy. The waitress said it was Spicy but honestly the spice was very mild. The Molcajete al Tomatillo Plate was by far the best and was comprised of: steak, chicken, shrimp in a tomatillo stew with nopales, green onion, and queso fresco, SO BOMB! The restaurant itself isn't in the nicest area, but the place is super clean and cute on the inside. They had a nice front patio as well but they don't serve alcohol out there which was the only down side. Overall great place, will def be back! read more

So the ambience is good typical of a taqueria. Music playing some sport on the tv. Now the food I tired the camaron ceviche tower now as another reviewer pointed out it's a personal serving. But still good enough to fill the average person up. Now if your a fan of heat I recommend ordering the sauce on top of it. It has a kick it will have you reaching for that water lol. Now if u can't handle spicy then recommend getting on the side so u can try it first. The ceviche on its own was fairly good what you would expect. You do get extra sauce the black seafood sauce that will add more heat if needed. I also tried the tacos. Now I tried the street taco al pastor. Very good big portion the meat had good flavor to it. The asada taco was the stand out, possibly because I was not expecting the good marinated flavor or the tenderness of it. But I would definitely recommend. So now why it didn't get five stars was customer service. I will elaborate further on this. So the service was hit n miss however in his defense my server was a teenager possibly his family's restaurant. So at first he kept coming to table very helpful. But once the food has arrived am I actually needed something he was busy. Now mind you the place was not packed at the time maybe three tables n two gentleman at the bar. Now he was doing what most teenagers do on his phone n watching the tv he would check on tables on occasions but when I was attempting to order more food took him a while to notice an check up on me. Unfortunately never got my water refill now in his defense I did not ask for one. But my water was gone before the ceviche was completed then I ordered the tacos waited for that and was not offered any more. This is the third restaurant I remember in this location. I have fond memories of the first one operated by two sisters not so much of the Salvadorian place that followed it. We found this place again when Tesoro was closed for a birthday party on a Saturday evening,. The inside has been really fixed up and was barely recognizable from the restaurant I remember from 20 years ago The food was good and tasty . I had the carne asada but I was only given one piece of steak. Fortunately the retried beans were to die for and the grilled scallions were good so I did not leave hungry. On the bad side my one bottle of beer cost $4.65. There were only two other people in the restaurant when we came in and when we left there were no other customers. I came to this location in an effort to find a good "mariscos spot". The restaurant is a converted house in a middle of a neighborhood deep in the cuts of Vallejo. Don't get me wrong, I am no stranger to the ghetto, I just don't want to worry about eating a bullet in the middle of my meal. The restaurant was clean. The music was awesome but that was about it. I found the service mediocre and a lot of the food on the menu was unavailable. My suggestion would be for them to shorten the menu and focus on perfecting only a few plates. As far as the food, I wasn't impressed. My ceviche was ok. It had a very bland taste and the presentation was not appealing. My husband got the tacos dorados and they included cheese (Wtf). Anyhow, not a place I would go out of my way to visit again. The total damage was approximately $80. I would not classify the food here as authentic Sinaloense. Stopped in to get some Caldo de Res and some fresh squeezed juice. Both are on the menu. When I came in to order they said they do not serve those items. Those were on the old menu 4 years ago! So I mentioned to the owner to change the menu so when people are looking at the menu on Yelp, they are not confused as to what they actually serve. The owner became very disrespectful and defensive. Not being helpful whatsoever. I was literally trying to help the owner continue his business with efficient and not turn away customers. It was my first time there and will surely be my last. Ever single person I encountered there was rude, unhelpful, and didn't seem to care about changing the menu. This is not the business I want to support. I'd rather drive across the street to El Tesoro Mazatlan where my business is appreciated, the owner is super friendly and willing to accept change. No flavor. We ordered Camarones a La Diabla and Torta de Milanesa de pollo. The torta was not good at all. No flavor. I could only taste the oil from the batter the chicken was fried in. They put guacamole spread and some lettuce. It was not good at all. The Camarones a la Diabla were not spicy. They are "a la diabla". Shrimp should have been spicy. Lacked flavor. First off let me say that I have been a customer of Mariscos for many years. The food is pretty good and the wait isn't too bad most days. Every time I come here, I order for my whole family and I always leave a tip... However, I am very disappointed with my experience today. When I called in today, I placed an order for four "different" super burritos and 4 individual sides. One of the orders I specifically requested to have no sour cream and no cheese as my daughter is chronic lactose intolerant and dairy can send her to the ER. I explained the importance of this to the cashier and went on to order the rest of our food. After placing our order the cashier told me that I had to pay over the phone since my order was over the $50 limit. I proceeded to give him my card information but he could not hear me as I was driving. I asked him if I could pay when I arrived at the restaurant but he insisted on taking my card information. I repeated the information to him three times. After the third time he finally agreed to let me pay in the restaurant. I arrive no less than five minutes later and went in to pay for my food. I was frustrated but I still paid with no issues, no rude comments and even left a tip. I left to get drinks and came back to get my food then noticed the cashier did not put in my order for the 4 sides that I'd requested. I had to wait even longer but was still wasn't rude and I was patient. In the process of eating with my family, it was brought to my attention that only 2 of the burritos had been labeled. Because of this my son accidentally ate my daughters burrito that was free from dairy. When I noticed this I quickly ran in the other room and took the food from my daughter. I then placed a new order for her. I didn't even yell at the cashier over the phone or treat her like the accident was her fault. I simply place the order and drove down to pick it up. When I arrived at the restaurant the male cashier that helped me the first time was surprised to see me because I was just there like a half an hour ago. I started to tell him what had happened and was abruptly interrupted by some lady (self-identified as the cook) and she started an argument with me. She went on to tell me that she knew what she was talking about since she had made my burritos! She said that she labeled one burrito surf and turf and one veggie burrito and I said yes but the other two weren't labeled and try to tell her about my daughter's special needs. She could care less what I had to say she kept trying to get her point across and was obviously irritated that I pointed out the issue. I didn't even want compensation I just wanted to make someone aware of the importance of labeling the burritos. This incident was totally unprofessional and uncalled for. By no means was I coming into your restaurant for a fight I just wanted to safely feed my family. I was so embarrassed and shaken up by this unnecessary scene. Because of that I asked for a discount and it was denied. I then went on to tell the cashier that I would not be returning to his establishment all he said was okay that's fine and shrugged his shoulders. I am saddened by the lack of concern for my daughters health. I totally do not feel appreciate it as a customer. This incident has shown me that you guys could care less if we return to your restaurant since we will be replaced anyway. When businesses start to replace people with dollars the customer service starts to go down hill. I am disappointed and frustrated since I now have to find a new favorite place. I refuse to give my hard-earned money to anyone who doesn't show concern for their customers especially when it comes to someone's health and safety. I was in no means looking for a fight and am very shaken up by the response I was given after being so understanding in both incidents. The lady cook needs to treat people better and not make short cuts as it could be detrimental to someone's health.. she didn't even feel the need to appologize at all!
