It was our first time coming here to the Pico Rivera location. The food came out incredible. It was delicious and great services even though we came 30 minutes before they closed. They still managed to take care of us without rushing us. You can't compare that if you go to other restaurants 30 minutes they're rushing to close, even though we start a bit later they're still managed to take care of us and treat us with respect. Without rushing it us out even though they were closing, you could tell the staff was one that wanted to go, but we managed to not prolong to stay. Not saying come 30 minutes before, but also be respectful for the staff, but I need to do leave on time. This is why I recommend this place. read more

We stumbled into this restaurant as we were craving seafood. The host greeted us and we were promptly seated. It was our first time and our waitress gave us options and recommendations. Our meal came with complimentary tostadas and salsa. The shrimp ceviche wasn't too limey and it had a nice kick to it. The taco de pulpa was good, the taco shell was taco dorados and l the cream sauce balanced the seasoning on the octopus. The Baja shrimp taco was good. The shrimp and batter were light and crunchy, it had the right amount of seasoning. The bread pudding was my favorite, perhaps it was because it was drenched condense milk base but I enjoyed it. we're happy we found this place and def recommend it. read more

Israel and Marbella are the best with customer service and the food was a nice change up from most Mexican restaurants. Food was delish but light as well and no over powering flavors. We stopped at Mariscos Choix for lunch after shopping and were greeted warmly as soon as we walked in. The vibe was casual and welcoming. Menus are in Spanish (which adds to the authentic feel), and while there's an English menu online, it's a bit tricky to read -- so keep Google Translate handy if you're not fluent. Drinks were great and came out quickly. We started with the fresh guacamole, which was creamy and well-seasoned, served with perfectly crisp tostada shells. For mains, the steak tacos were tender and flavorful, and the lobster sushi roll was fresh and tasty. My lobster fried rice came out after everyone else had already finished eating, which was a little disappointing timing-wise, but it was absolutely delicious once it arrived. That said, I'm not sure it justified the price tag. Overall, a warm, inviting spot with fresh seafood, good drinks, and a few service quirks worth noting. She was super attentive and explained to us the menu since it was our first time. From there, it was 10/10 from the food to the service. This was my second time here and somehow the food was even better. The micheladas are insanely flavorful--perfectly balanced.The fried fish (Mojarra al Mojo de Ajo with sauce on the side) was spot on, and the Tacos de Pulpo Zarandeado were next-level: tender and packed with flavor. First visit to Choix was for my brother-in-law's birthday dinner. I was pleasantly surprised with the ceviche de pescado y camaron. The portions and value for the prices are great. I ordered the mojarra frita al mojo de ajo and loved the medium well finish on it. The table salsa was amazing! We had to ask for extra salsa and were able to take some to go with our leftovers. The service we received from Margarita was awesome. It made our visit feel like we were dining with family, being taken care of by someone familiar. She was very pleasant and accommodating. I would happy come back to dine at Choix due to our experience with her. As the sun set down, the atmosphere felt especially nice due to the fire/flames bordering the outdoor dining area.
