The service was great and she was busy! The Burger special (Guacamole) was excellent as were the perfectly cooked fries. The Chicken Marsala was about the best I have ever had! Will definitely go often! Our new favorite place and they open early which is good as most other restaurants along the waterfront do not open until noon! read more

We stopped by late August and had a really nice dinner. I ordered the special halibut coated in lobster crumbs and sauce. My wife ordered the grilled halibut and the kids ate burgers. We all really enjoyed our meals and the waiters were very friendly! Great crème burley. read more

Unfortunately, the restaurant is extremely understaffed (2 waiters, 1? chef, completely packed restaurant). Took twenty minutes to be seated and another twenty for good to arrive. We had the Elvis, Meat Lover's, Veggie Omelette, and biscuits and gravy. Elvis was good, but the meat lover's was over salted, the veggie omelette had no salt, and the discord and gravy was subpar at best. The place may be better once more staff are hired. read more

I hate to review this place because I'm afraid that the secret will get out.... Awesome food, best loaded bloody mary in the coast! Shout out to Florin who runs the place. He provides the best service, very attentive! read more

Mari's Kitchen - Amazing experience! Friendly helpful waitress & excellent seafood pasta! - Breakfast & Brunch Near Me - Florence, Oregon

We stopped here for brunch on our drive on 101 back to Seattle and it did not disappoint! This wasn't the intended stop but when we looked at the brunch menu we couldn't resist. Group of 7 hungry people and everyone loved their food! The chocolate waffle was amazing and so were the omelettes and chicken schnitzel. We arrived at 11:30am but they even accommodated lunch orders for us! Florence is such a cute town and I'm glad we stumbled onto this amazing restaurant. Definitely a must have for brunch! read more

I was so disappointed with this place. I planned a trip to Florence for my boyfriends birthday and we planned what restaurants we wanted to eat at prior to going. When I saw the Crab encrusted halibut on the menu I knew what I wanted for lunch and the positive reviews made it an easy choice to go to. But the food was AWFUL! The fish/crab tasted frost bitten and turned my stomach. The only thing really good on the plate was the salad and balsamic dressing . The Alfredo pasta was ok. My boyfriend ordered the Tri tip parmesan sandwich and French fries, he asked for his meat to be medium rare and it came out way over cooked and the fries were such a small portion and also tasted freezer burned , the texture of the fries after biting into them was powdery, they were disgusting. There were about 10 flies hovering and landing on the table next to us For the best crab encrusted halibut go across the street to the Waterfront depot. This was the worst $57 I've ever spent in my life. read more

A tasty treasure tucked away on Bay Street! I love the Reuben; not 100% traditional but good nonetheless.

Food was absolutely astonishing Baltic prawns cooked perfectly and a meatball sauce that was so complex and refreshing and house made artisan meatballs which were over the top and to finish it off a crème brûlée that was like eating sweet clouds this was the best experiences I've had in a long time eating out and I recommend this restaurant to everyone and anyone in the local Florence area for a great dining experience and night out.!! read more

Excellent family owned and ran restaurant. Friendly and the food is Wonderful. I highly recommend the pork schnitzel. If you were a seafood lover the halibut is also delicious. Definitely worth checking them out. And coffee is amazing too read more

Crab melt and kids Mac were both delicious!! Clam chowder was a bit bland. Service was amazing, friendly and helpful. They were busy, but the wait for food wasn't overly long. Outdoor seating in front of restaurant. Masks required indoors (all Oregon shops and restaurants at this time). read more

Drink was good and the server was very nice. Good ambiance but the food was disappointing.

Servers especially good and food was excellent. Loaded Bloody Mary was yum! Nice view of the bridge and river.

We had the chicken schnitzel which was fantastic! This place should be called the House of Schnitzel. We came back two nights in a row for the schnitzel. We also had an excellent white wine from Romania, the Pinot Grigio. I usually don't like Pinot Grigio, but this was a mild and light table wine, value priced! read more

Good service on a beautiful day in Florence. We enjoyed our meals and appreciated the kind servers. Schnitzel was very tasty. Live music from a talented violinist was an added treat. All in all a great find. read more

Wonderful restaurant, delicious food, great staff/waiter. I got the musaca and it was amazing. Reminded me of how my Romanian father in law makes it. Their drink menu is also extensive, and their lemon drop was very good. We are from out of the area, but can't wait to visit Florence again and come back. read more

Mari was so accommodating to us and our 2 small doggies. Even tho the weather was a little wet, she set up an outdoor table for us! We had the crab crusted halibut and the crab & shrimp sandwich....outstanding! 5 stars read more

Excellent food! I had the daily special, which was Parmesan Encrusted Salmon and my husband had Pork Schnitzel and both were delicious!

Highly highly recommend. You must try the spicy margarita!! The best I have ever had!! Love this place!

We love to splurge and self indulge at this lovely little restaurant! Easily one of the best eateries on Bay St. The chicken schnitzel plate or sandwich is always a safe bet, but we like to try the specials too. One thing is certain for this place however, the desert should not be missed, the chocolate cake will blow your ever loving mind!!! read more

Bay street is so charming is definitely full enticing restaurants to choose from. We were driving through town on a road trip and all the other restaurants looked packed- conversely Mari's was completely empty. That made me a little nervous but the menu had a few dishes im fond of, and... with two antsy kids in tow- an empty restaurant was a blessing! Lol I ordered the chicken marsala with mashed potatoes and green salad- it was perfect. My mom had the goulash and loved it. My nephew had the pork schnitzel and it was giant and delicious. My 6 year old son gobbled down a bowl of the meatball soup, (i tasted and can confirm it was great) They had a few beers on tap and a bar that seemed well stocked. Service was attentive and efficient. The restaurant was clean and pleasant in it's simple decor. Definitely a dressed up casual vibe. I would not hesitate go again if i find myself in Florence and certainly recommend it as a worthwhile food stop. read more

Absolutely fantastic food!! Try the broiled feta for an appetizer! So delicious that I could have eaten it all! Too bad I had to share with the family! I had the chicken schnitzel which was superb! The breading was so light. We will definitely be back! read more

This place is pure magic! They were absolutely slammed this morning and they busted their butts to serve everyone! The servers are lovely and the food is so good it is ridiculous! I hazard to guess they are always quite busy, so be patient and kind and it is worth the wait! A do not miss breakfast place on the coast. Lovely! 6 stars! read more

Never had an Italian meatball sandwich like this. The meatballs were fatty, and they weren't even round. I gave them to my dog. Poor dog. The Reuben was okay, not anything special. read more

You really should try this place. Sometimes people walk past and don't notice- that's their loss. They have chefs who are very particular about their work. Not only delicious but appealing to your eyes. read more

absolutely wonderful experience stopping by while on a road trip. as someone with celiacs, it can be hard to find safe gluten free food when traveling and Mari's was a golden find. our server was so nice, and she made sure that i could eat without risk of cross contamination. my whole family loved our breakfast and the view was great too!! read more

I'll start off the good: service. The staff were friendly and attentive. I wish I could say something nice about the food. My food was just bad. I got some sort of crab encrusted fish with white sauce and pasta. Everything seemed pre packaged, and my deep fried fish(didn't know it's be fried) tastes of char and overused oil. My partner's experience was similarly bad. The salads were the kind you get from Safeway for 3 dollars. We were quite disappointed, after a long drive, to have had such a sub par dining experience on our first vacation together. read more

I had the seafood pasta, which was incredible. The portion was generous, so I was expecting about a 1:3 ratio of meat to pasta. To my delight, the dish was roughly equal parts linguine and seafood (scallops, halibut, and prawns). You have the choice of getting it with marinara or Alfredo, but I'm so glad I asked the server (possibly the owner?) which he recommends, because he said, "A combination of the two!" It was so good! read more

Dungeness crab cakes were spectacular, but somehow, the scallops were even better. Must have been the sauce!!!!

The service here is fantastic; the staff care and HUSTLE. We were passing through town and grabbed dinner. We both got Mac and cheese so I feel like I can't really comment on the food as a whole, but it was just fine. The shrimp and chicken added were actually quite good. I can comment: save room for pie! Homemade apple was amazing; if we lived close we'd be buying whole pies for Thanksgiving etc. Enjoyed our dinner enough to come back the next morning for breakfast and wasn't disappointed! read more

This is my third meal there. Two takeout and one dine on the street. I and my guests have enjoyed every item on the menu. Great Home Cooked food with a flair. Family business and both the son and mom are amazing. My favorite pic in Florence for now. read more

Mari's was the perfect breakfast spot for our second day in Florence. We arrived early in the morning and only a few tables inside and out were taken, so being seated and waited on was fast and simple. We both ordered a Bloody Mary's, which came out quick, and tasted delicious. She asked us how spicy we wanted them, and they were made perfect to our specifications. The hard part about ordering at Mari's is the menu has so many great things to choose from, not to mention the specials. I would feel I'm missing out if I order one thing over another, so multiple visits are a must. I ended up landing on the meat lover's quiche, which comes with "all meats they have on hand"; I love a good mystery. The quiche was delicious, though I do wish it were slightly larger, especially for the price. This was the only breakfast spot in Florence we dined at, but I can see myself being a repeat customer again and again. read more
