Really great seafood here. They recently changed their menu a bit so there is a bunch of things on the list I want to try. Lots of seating here. Service is really good even through all the noise. Parking can be a bit of a mess since there's only one way in a no way out.

The food was delicious. I had a seafood tostada and shrimp cocktail. The mango chamoy margarita was also delightful. My friend had the Peruvian seafood soup and it did not disappoint.

This is by far my favorite seafood restaurant in Austin. Every dish I have tried, I have loved it. You should try the Mariscada Mario, the oysters, the Vuelve a la Vida cóctel, the Pulpo Asado. The Micheladas are also great, but try the Oyster Shot (wow!). The service is very friendly, and I have been there to watch games and fights. Great place!

Great ambiance! The music was cheerful and they even have mariachi some of the days! My server was attentive and always checked on us , I had the torre of mariscos , was nice and fresh. All the food was fresh and delicious!

I would say this establishment is more like a Mexican seafood fusion than just a seafood restaurant. The service is always great here and never had to wait to be seated. Get their molcajete carne asado! So delicious with sausage and cactus. Really flavorful too. Their caldo 7 mares broth and seafood in there was tasty! One thing that I didn't like as much was the zarandeado. The shrimp just taste salty and nothing special especially for the price. It came with two sides and I got the shrimp fried rice and beans. Avoid the shrimp fried rice side. It was dry and tasteless.

Between the five of us we had 2 person fajita with chicken, beef, and shrimp with the fixings, fajita tacos, fried shrimp, and seafoseafood stew. The FOOD ALL were absolutely tastey and so filling. The atmosphere was great. The service was good. We were so glad to try this place. The taste of everything down to the salsa were flavorful. Must return to try other men items. Yummy!!!!

We were in the mood for seafood and Mario's popped up, so we decided to give it a try. It was lunchtime for us and mama was getting hangry, so her order needed to be hot and correct. Well....they got the hot right but they fried her fish instead of grilling it, as requested; Then later we figured out they forgot her side of tortillas. She was too hungry to give it back, so she ate it like that. She said it was ok and wouldn't come back but my hubby on the other hand said he wants to give it another try because they were out of oysters, due to the storms down south, so he would like to go back for those. He had Nayarit ceviche and a caldo that was too spicy for my tio but when he had it he said it was ok, taste was off. He also had a michelada that was good. I had Rellenos (stuff jumbo shrimp) with shrimp fried rice. Shrimp was delicious but rice was ok. I also had a drink I believe was the Cantita in a cute ceramic mug and it was tasty. We all had some appetizers of Calamari and Tostada Mazatleca-ceviche. They were good but Nothing really stood out for me except the stuffed shrimp and drink. Some of their prices are a little much with certain items but overall, expect to have a pricey bill because it is seafood. Our server Erika was nice and friendly. The rest of the staff seemed productive. It would have been nice to have been offered a discount or a comp for the mess ups but it didn't happen. That bathrooms were clean and they provided seating right away even for a group of nine. Overall, It was a decent experience. I'll probably go back when hubby wants to try the oysters.

I order two dishes, don't remember the name but i have photos below. The fish and crab is fresh, taste very good. I love the way you deep fry the fish, make me remember my hometown ( Vietnam). The price is affordable, i also have discount on Monday which I don't know. Mario seafood gave us such a very warm welcome to Austin Highly recommend Mario seafood

Stopped in for some oysters and margaritas. Unfortunately they were out of oysters which made my heart sad. We spoke with the bartender as I'm gluten and dairy intolerant. He wasn't knowledgeable about my food issues but was super helpful on finding something to meet my needs. I decided on the shrimp tostada. I told him if I see something that doesn't meet my needs my husband can eat it. The tostada came out and was delish. I would recommend getting one per person in the future. The drinks were strong and delicious. We had Mexican martini and margaritas. Overall a cool chill pass. I would love to come back and try more food and drinks.

C'mon man.... Not a hater, just a true review and being generous with the stars Been driving by this place for months wanting to find a reason to stop for some Mexi-style seafood & oysters Understand its desperate, tough times and thank you for being open. but dang man, y'all gotta get some things right if you're gonna take peoples money Seems like you been outta oysters for awhile now, at least put a sign up if I have to wait for service Stale crackers? Throw that shit out, man, they only cost like $7 a box Get your bar cleaned up, makes customers think everything else is dirty, don't need to wait till the end of the night to clean Fried fish was fresh and cooked perfectly but not sure exactly what type of fish it was, seafood cocktail was as expected, nothing unique Sorry but I didn't find anything intriguing or able to recommend here, not even basic cantina/food truck level need to step up your game for the pricing, I guess you can draw business from the nearby hotels Would like to try again if you're still open in the future

Don't listen to these haters. You have to be a sad, sad person to leave bad reviews for a place that just opened. I had a bomb ass meal here tonight. Lemme tell you about it. Mario's Seafood serves up LEGIT mariscos (seafood) in the old Applebees. Honestly, this is one of the best trades ever for the Austin food scene. We've really needed some quality ceviche, and Applebees? I'm not even going to go there. The shrimp coctel was absolutely killer. Some of the best I've had. It was super fresh and a nice portion. Bits of habanero and some other spice I couldn't identify, but was all about. Had camarones zarandeados and a couple big pieces of pepino on the side. So artfully presented! My aguachile negro mixto was also great. The mixto version comes with oysters and scallops, which pair great with the shrimp. I recommend getting the mixto instead of the regular aguachile. And the spice - it was spicy (like an aguachile negro should be) but not overwhelming. My mouthburn steadily incremented throughout my meal, but I finished all of it. I was sweating a little at the end, but it was sooo good! All of the mariscos were tender, flavorful and FRESH, which is the most important thing with mariscos. My wife's michelada was bien hecha tambien. Downsides - prices seem to be all over the place. Some things are priced right, some things seem a few bucks too high. But for quality ceviche in Austin? I'm not complaining. Looking forward to coming back and trying more of the menu, and SOON!

Tacos de Birria. Just fat, no meat

Was angry to see that the Birria Tacos had no meat, just lumps of fat. They were the only thing I ordered and were a disgusting disappointment

The space mixes art deco with a little bit of Spanish flair, tucked beside/adjacent to Mama Betty's. It's big, but arranged in a way that still feels cozy and social. The crowd? Late 20s to early 40s. Grown and attractive. Lively but not chaotic. Vibrant without being loud. Perfect for dressing up a little, socializing and lingering a little. We Ubered there, so I didn't get a full picture of the parking, but it seems like there may be a little parking garage or validated parking area? Maybe a pay for parking? I would read other reviews. Most of the staff? Fantastic. Professional, warm, funny. Our assigned waitress, however, gave off overwhelmed and low-energy. She was short with communication and it sort of dulled our sparkle for a moment, but the drinks and vibes quickly brought it back. Had we had another waitress, this place would have been a 10 out of 10. On to the drinks: Round one: espresso martinis (made with Tito's). Slightly sweet, bold, smooth, and very sippable. No coffee bean decorations on top, but full of flavor. No cream inside...sort of reminding you of a Black Russian. Served in a ribbed coupe glass. Round two: French 75s with Hendrick's. Punchy lemon flavor, a tad sweet, lower champagne notes but still giving French 75. Garnished with a dried lime slice instead of a lemon. Served elegant in those ribbed coupe glasses (which fit the aesthetic perfectly). The cocktails are well-crafted and intentional. They aren't overly boozy, but they are balanced, smooth and polished. Bathrooms? Immaculate. Unisex. Private stall rooms with their own individual doors. Efficient and modern. No long lines. Opportunity to mingle with the opposite sex in the bathroom if that suits your fancy. Foxtail feels like a good place to start a new chapter. We had good conversations and we enjoyed staying out just a little longer than we planned. Their Happy Hour (4:30-6pm weekdays) is officially on my radar for the future. I'll be back. I want this place to be routine. 9 out of 10.

Drinks are expensive and served in what feels like miniature target brand, low-quality glasses, which makes the value proposition hard to justify the steep $14 price. The atmosphere is where it really falls apart. The space is set up like a bright, casual brunch hall rather than a cocktail bar--harsh, bright lighting, uncomfortable wooden chairs, and basic wooden square tables that don't align with the concept AT ALL. There's no food offering, yet the environment feels designed for daytime dining rather than an evening bar experience. From a design and hospitality standpoint, it's difficult to understand how this made it to opening in its current state. Even a VERY basic understanding of lighting and ambiance would suggest this setup is fundamentally mismatched--ESPECIALLY for something like a date night. Rosé Gosé (note accents) is in an unassuming Airport Blvd location (right next to Jewboy Burgers, an Austin favorite). It is run by a couple from Belarus that came here right after Covid to open up a restaurant, with a sister in Minsk. Defying expectations, the menu is not Balkan at all. If anything, there is a strong Asian influence with poke bowls and a lot of seafood. But the menu also offers beef tartare on their raw bar menu, as well as a steak offering and grilled chicken. It's a diverse and adventurous menu, all the way from small plates to hefty mains and vegetable sides. For the dessert, try the pavlova, a meringue confection stuffed with coconut mousse and topped with lime sorbet and a grapefruit slice sidecar. Everything is superbly presented, and unquestionably fresh and healthy without veering into twigs and berries territory. The cocktail menu is also playful, with a lot of nontraditional glassware and slight spins on popular drinks; their version of a Paloma uses prosecco instead of a splash of soda. The servers are all dressed in rosé jumpsuits and very attentive. The space is amiable and elegant without being pretentious. The table spacing is a little close, so that conversations carry between guests. The table setting has some nice touches, like the little wooden bench that holds your fork and knife off the table. In European fashion, water can be asked for but it won't be served with ice. Plan on taking your time and enjoying course after course.

Rosé Gosé was a delightful Mother's Day lunch spot. It is a whole vibe, and it is uniquely French! When we walked in an artist was playing romantic music on his keyboard, which set the tone for the brunch. It is a small restaurant inside with a larger area of seating on the patio. Of course, our reservations were inside in the comforts of air conditioning. You immediately notice a wine wall hence the name Rosé Gosé. The restaurant has many windows which provide lots of natural light. The tables house miniature yellow roses and utensils sat in a small wooden block...very French. All the servers were dressed in mauve clothing that resemble scrubs from a hospital. If someone stepped out in a French beret, I would have fallen over. Our server, Sergey, immediately served us water and took our order. The restaurant was highlighted as a modern European bistro. The atmosphere was charming, elegant, and stylish making it ideal for a Mother's Day brunch. My hubby ordered a ribeye, eggs and French Fries. I ordered the avocado toast with salmon and egg whites. While I'm not a huge red meat eater, I tasted a piece of the hubs ribeye and it was nicely prepared. My avocado toast was yummy to the nth degree! Everything was perfect. The avocado was precisely cut and at the right level of softness. The salmon was chopped into tiny little squares and so enjoyable to eat. We could not be more pleased. With a name like Rosé Gosé you would expect their drinks to be superb. My hubby ordered a hibiscus tea, which was delightful. I ordered a mimosa that had high quality ingredients and was perfectly balanced...so smooth. We were also pleased with the drinks. This was the first time at Rosé Gosé, however, it definitely will not be the last.

I felt the vibe instantly, like as soon as I put one foot in the door. Magical, sophisticated, worldly, wonderful and more were the feelings that spontaneously hit me. The dark and elegant decor, lighting, design, & layout made me feel as though I were in a high-end Tokyo cocktail lounge. The front room as I mentioned is an intimate bar and lounge area with artwork adorning the walls. It's a modern, minimalist, and sleek space. The artwork is ever-changing (every couple of months or so) and the cocktail menu changes right long with it. Note: artwork is available for purchase. What an absolutely glorious way of combining different mediums (liquid art vs physical art). The craft cocktails & mocktails are the epitome of works of art. I've had great cocktails and mocktails elsewhere but honestly I'd be hard pressed to find anything on this level. You're taken into an entirely different realm just watching the genius of mixologists. It's mesmerizing watching them hone their craft. In the back of the lounge is an enclave of eclectic art and other pieces that then leads you to Konbini, the sushi bar. I was pretty bothered by my experience here. Even aside from their mid drinks, it felt like we were constantly chasing down servers and they were only attentive when they needed something from us. We went to the photobooth to take pictures before we sat down, but the machine ate my money and broke down. I let a server know, and he came back and said he would comp $20 off of our meal, which I was happy about. I honestly only wanted them to refund me my $10 for the photobooth strip. However, they came back a few minutes later and gave us a photo card and told us to use it to pay for the photobooth and it could be used an unlimited amount of times. I was also happy with this solution, but what happened afterwards left a bad taste in my friends' and my mouth. We hadn't gotten menus or been asked what we wanted to order yet. We were just waiting around for drink menus and food menus, so we didn't want to get up and go take photos when they might come back to take our orders. The manager (?) came back to me a few minutes later and asked if we had taken photos yet, and I let him know that we were waiting to be given menus. He said someone else would give us menus, and another server gave us only a drink menu. A few minutes later, we are still waiting for food menus. The same manager came back and asked us to not lose the photo card. At this point, we were frustrated. Why come back constantly to ask for a photo card when we haven't even been given our food or our menus yet? When we finally got our food, a different server asked if we had given back the photo card yet. They were so pressed about getting this photo card back and not actually getting our orders, and we also thought it was a bit distasteful to offer a solution (the $20 off the meal) but then go back on it with the photo card. It was presented as "unlimited" swipes but we were rushed to give the card back, and realistically, we only had enough time to take one set of photos. The drinks themselves were truly just okay. I don't think any of us were particularly impressed with our drinks, but the interior of Papercut is really nice and intimate.

I opted for a zero proof drink: the high and mighty (agave, nonalcoholic ginger and floral liqueurs, jasmine tea, and spiced salt). It was refreshing but didn't quite hit the mark for me. What should have been complex and balanced came across as overly floral. All told, Marlow is worth a visit even if it is unlikely to wow you.
