Mariners cove is a classic New Jersey diner. It's a small place but there's counter seating as well. The menu is massive. There are so many good choices! The portion sizes are huge and the omelettes are literally bigger than the plate! The potatoes were perfection! Perfectly crispy around the edges! The service was excellent and the fresh squeezed OJ was tasty.

Insane menu at a classic diner. So many choices that you need to close your eyes And just point at something and order. Omelette was awesome and service was great.

I've never seen menu with so many choices in my life. lol. Cute little place in Brielle with a huge menu. We went in for breakfast but being it was almost noon we ordered lunch instead. The burger was delicious! It was cooked perfectly and came with crispy fries, slaw and pickle. I wasn't too crazy about the skirt steak sandwich on focaccia bread. It was good but I prefer more of a traditional cheese steak on a hoggie roll with rib eye steak. The focaccia bread made it hard to eat. It kind of fell apart with all the peppers and onions sliding out of the sides. Good flavor but very messy. lol Great service and we did not have to wait for a table. The also have seating at the counter top. Can't wait to got back and try one of their many omelette choices. It will probably take me a long time to decide which one to choose. ha ha. The

Great little old school style spot in Brielle, just before the bridge into Point Pleasant. We stopped in on an unusually warm (65 degrees) Saturday in January and there was no wait, which we are told is very uncommon. The waitress said she's never seen it that empty before on a Saturday. For food I got the Poor Boy Omelette - essentially a Western just with pork roll. Pork roll, peppers, onions, potatoes & cheese. They do their "omelettes" a little different I'd call it more of a scramble. They add the home fries into it which I really like. Regardless it was a MASSIVE portion and delicious. I think I ate maybe 1/3 of what they brought me. 2 very big eaters could easily share one of these. Leftovers for at least 1 more meal. My girlfriend got a goat cheese omelette which she really liked and we split a short stack of pancakes, which were also good but very unnecessary with the rest of our food. Overall, old school feel, huge portions & tasty food. I would definitely recommend and will be looking to come back sometime in the future.

I always seem to forget to stop in this Brielle landmark. Not today. I came in for lunch and had a chicken salad sandwich. The staff was glad to see me again. It's been 5 years since the last visit. Yes almost the same crew. My only concern was a little too much celery in the chicken salad. The decor was very rustic. The signs and pictures on the walls were of the same fond memories i had 5+ years ago.

Awesome place. The menu is huge!!!! I've been here a couple of times, and weekdays are the least busiest. I dislike waiting around for a table and hearing a lot of people in a place. But this restaurant is different. Even in the weekends it does get a little full but it doesn't get loud. I always get me a Caramel Cappuccino, it's so delicious.

We were really impressed by the location. The Food shack is located right on the beach which is the perfect way to enjoy a lunch on a Summer day in Point Pleasant. They have lots of umbrellaed outdoor seating, and some benches in the sun, so there are options for everyone. They also have some indoor seating, and the inside is adorable. We ordered a swiss grilled cheese with tomato on top, and a BLT. Each item came with pickles and a bag of chips. Each item was priced reasonably, especially considering typical Jersey Shore pricing. My grilled cheese was great. The bread/cheese/tomato ratio was perfect. The cheese was gooey, and stayed gooey even as the sandwich cooled. The bread on the grilled cheese was crispy on the outside and still soft and warm on the inside. I didn't know what to expect from a small shack on the beach, especially with something as simple as a grilled cheese, but I really enjoyed it. The BLT also had a gread tomato/bacon/lettuce/mayo ratio and wasn't too greasy. Overall I will definitely be coming back!

Even the wait time here is pleasant. My wife and I had to wait 40 minutes for our table but didn't mind a bit as we soaked up some sunshine and listened to the smooth guitar sounds coming from the guitarist playing outside. My wife had a breakfast sandwich that she loved. We split a spinach salad and I had a tuna melt on sourdough with a side of crabby fries. My sandwich was grilled perfectly. Tuna with melted cheddar and light, crispy buttery sourdough made for a great sandwich. TFS is seasonal only so their last day is October 26 this year and we plan on visiting again before they close for the season.
