Ok so here's the thing. I've been a customer of this cafe and their neighboring cafe (Pops Corner) for several years now. If this review was based on the food and service it would have been 4.5-5 stars. They are two very different restaurants and I enjoy both. Here is my issue. Berritazza apparently owns the parking lot in the back of these two restaurants and if I am going to Berritazza I can park there. If I'm going to Pops Corner I cannot. I asked the staff at Pops Corner why I couldn't park in the back and was told that the owner of Berritazza would tow my vehicle if I parked there because he specifically has signs up that say "no parking for Pops Corner customers". I find that to be terribly rude and super inconvenient and for the life of me I cannot understand the logic. Why try and hurt the business next door to you when they aren't trying to hurt you and most importantly; why are you punishing your own patrons? It's obvious that some of your customers are going to ALSO go to Pops Corner. It doesn't make sense to me. Here is what I've decided and what I'm going to pass on to all of my friends and neighbors going forward. If I can't park at Berritazza when I want to eat at POP's Corner then I'm not going to stop eating at Pop's Corner. No sir. I'm going to stop eating at the business that purposely tries to hurt their neighbors AND their customers. You need to see the bigger picture and stop being so short sighted. From now on my friends and business associates will find somewhere else to park and will walk a few blocks if necessary and eat at Pops Corner more often. As much as I've enjoyed Berritazza Cafes food; I cannot support a business that is intentionally trying to hurt their neighbors. That's NOT what Point Pleasant Beach is about and it's certainly not what my group of friends and business associates is about. Shame on you for being so stubborn and petty. We should all be supporting each other and you've now forced me to stop eating somewhere that I've always enjoyed....Berritazza Cafe that is...over something so ridiculous. I will however check back to see if you're removed this ridiculous signs. Once you do my friends and associates will happily come back. Be a good neighbor! It's free and it's good for business. Love their coffee, smoothies and ricotta toast! Staff are friendly and it's a cute spot. We had an egg toast, which wasn't as good as the other items (very chewy consistency) but otherwise 4-5 stars for all other goodies they offer. This photo should say enough. Not to be a Karen but to pay 13 dollars per bowl. If I wanted soup I would've went to Panera. Both bowls were handed to us dripping and not frozen. The owner is so sweet and the açaí is really yummy. The fruit and toppings are fresh; the price point is very reasonable for the quality.

This was my first açaí bowl and it was for sure a great first ! The young lady behind the counter was of great help! She suggested the strawberries which were super yummy, paired with the blueberries, honey, peanut butter and granola. Home run in this. The coffee was also, tasty. It's a chill environment that I was able to enjoy waiting for my pup being groomed at Over the Moon Dog Grooming! I'll definitely be back to test out the menu. I love this place! My favorite is the cupuacu (def not spelled correctly) smoothie and açaí bowls. You can choose small, medium or large unlike other places and the prices are fair. This was our time ordering from Berritazza and was beyond a disappointment. We ordered Belgian waffles with fruit for our two kids. The waffles were stale and hard, kids wouldn't eat it. I ordered the copacabanna bowl which was frozen. Achi sounded like ice chips when I hit it with my spoon. Fruit had no flavor other then prepackaged frozen, thawing fruit. This cafe is a rare find! My original breakfast spot was surprisingly closed for renovations and I just so happened to stumble upon this place. I've passed it so many times and finally now I got to try it and go out of my comfort zone. The girls working the front are awesome. Olivia is full of knowledge and passion. They were so helpful.
