After years of questionable experiences with mechanics, I wish I had found Marina Collision sooner. Tammy and James were professional, personable, and went above and beyond to make the process easy. They kept me informed, explained everything clearly, helped me get a discounted rental, and avoided unnecessary expenses. Genuine customer service like this is hard to find. They're also Toyota Certified! I'll be a customer for life. Highly recommend. read more

Marina Collision Repair - Trunk closes now!! Yay - Body Shops Near Me - Seaside, California

I cannot recommend this shop enough. They are incredibly kind, knowledgeable and personable. I've never had this level of customer service. It felt like I was going to a trusted friend for help... except it was for such a large problem (totally out of my wheel house) in my eyes. I truthfully was dreading hearing about the $$ or the job needed. I should've asked the name of the gentleman who helped me, but I was so taken back by his friendliness and compassion for the issue I had today. In the opportunity to make more $$ off of my issue, he went above and beyond to be an amazing human and help me right on the spot. He took time to ask me about how it happened and encouraged me to be more cautious (in such a caring way). Thank you for going above and beyond for me today. You turned a bad situation into one that made me feel so appreciative and fortunate. Also side note- I used Chat GPT to find the best auto repair shop in the Monterey area and this place was #1! They are 100% right!! Thank you for all that you did today. I highly suggest this shop to any and all people needing auto repair as they truly care. read more

5 stars! and if I could give this team more stars, I would. The shop is family owned and run, and what fantastic people! The work I requested (front bumper replaced) was beautiful. They alerted me to another essential piece and also took care of that. While the car was being worked on, they drove me home and later picked me up. I had brought the car very, very dirty, and they cleaned every bit of it inside and out -- spotless. They touched up some scrapes. My old car felt like new. They were flexible, thoughtful, friendly, and more than fair. A good experience in every way. I felt cared for. read more

I never write reviews! but i just felt the need to share my experience. I came across this shop through lexus collision because i was looking for a lexus certified auto body shop to fix my damages. This is my first ever time being in an accident so i'm unsure of the process, i called a couple minutes before they closed but i just had a question of what their process was like. Since ive worked in customer service my whole life i understand why that could've been frustrating, but regardless in my personal opinion if im going somewhere to spend thousands of dollars I expect at least good customer service! The lady answering the phones was VERY RUDE! and very dismissive. She seemed uninterested in taking my call so I will be taking my call and my money somewhere else. read more

Did the people who gave this place five stars receive preferential treatment from the owners? The owners, quite simply, lacked basic manners. I believe that when a customer walks in--even if they are currently attending to another client or occupied with work--common courtesy dictates that they at least acknowledge their presence. Furthermore, they lack competence; I visited twice for the exact same issue, yet they failed to fix it properly on both occasions. Consequently, I went to the Lexus dealership today and strongly urged them to stop recommending this body shop. Consider yourselves warned. read more

Great job! Amazing customer service- kind, helpful, and willing to go the extra mile. I've been here twice and I would recommend them without hesitation! read more

Great family owned repair shop (recommended by the Toyota dealership for authorized repair on their vehicles). We got a quote that was literally HALF of that of a competitor. Work was excellent and they even replaced a tire and hubcap that had been damaged but not noted on the estimate at no extra cost. Highly recommend! read more

Chinese writing review is completely in accurate I was there for the whole experience. This customer started the entire interaction in the most rude way possible towards all staff and the owners. I overheard that she had an appointment the day before and missed it . She came in while I was there and insisted her car to be fixed right then and there.she had the shop stop what they were doing to get it done. I've been a customer of this business for many years and her review is just completely ridiculous. I've had my car fixed by them for many years , given me rides home , offered great prices and overall great experiences. read more

Fantastic work and work ethic. I didn't have a ride to pick up my car which had been sanded and painted, (due to avoiding fighting cats and sliding along a wall, scraping above my front wheel and passenger door). Tammy picked me up two days earlier than expected to collect my car When does that ever happen . Two days early !!! The work was perfect and reasonably affordable. Enjoyed meeting Tammy with the sparkling green eyes. Her husband is the one who did the work. I recommend them highly. read more

This is a FANTASTIC business! My husband and I have a Prius that had a paint recall. The owner of Marina Collision was on top of it and actually funny. ("We will call you when it is ready. We can be Friends, just DON't call me!) They called when it was finished and even delivered the car! They painted the entire car; even taking out the windshield to get all around. Our 13 year old car looks BRAND NEW! We are thrilled and highly recommend this business! read more

I went to Marina Collision for a minor repair to my new car. They were awesome! They were very accommodating and fixed my car quickly, expertly and at a very fair price. I took my Toyota Rav 4 in on August for a repair after damages from an egging which whomever not only egged my car but also dented it. I took it here because it was referred by Chico at the Car Experts on Del Monte in Marina. He said they're great. Fortunately I didn't have to pay the damages but regardless it's about proper care and work. James and his wife are absolutely friendly however the process felt rushed. James was kind in offering rides if I needed for work etc which I did not need in my case. I stressed to please take his time on the vehicle. I did call just so I could have notation of the work being done. James seemed ademant about getting my vehicle ready in shorter time which again I would have preferred a careful job. I did receive it. He stated do not wash it within 30 days. I did not notice of course some sort of white residue until the next day which I wish I would have taken images of it. There was white residue on my rims the sides of the left driver and passenger side (which was the area worked), my mats also had shoe prints and it smelled so strong unfortunately since I have allergies my nose is sensitive to everything so this caused me a headache. I took out the mats and washed it myself. I have no idea how the back of my rav had white hand marks! Fortunately I was able to take those off as well. This month literally this Saturday on 10/24 as I was hand washing my car I noticed one of the rubber pieces that covers part of the windshield into the hood--which protects water going inside the motor-- came off! It was rather irritating and hysterical at the same time. To my luck I had parked my rav where the left front tire was pointing left and I saw the unimaginable--the bolt/screw to the left front fender liner was lose. Otherwise I would have never noticed. I called them and his wife was kind but also sounded rushed-- told me they were closed "today" which is fine I wasn't expecting a quick fix that day and she said bring it in on Monday. I took it Monday-- showed James the obvious difference on the fender liners--you can clearly see the right was nice and snug and the left was lose where my thumb could actually fit and also expressed the paint residual from my last experience to James; again James was kind but seemed very rushed. They tightened the bolt to the left front fender liner and "glued" the rubber piece. Mentioning the white residue again since he was rather dismissive about that, he asked me if I had not taken it off. First of all how could I take anything off when the instructions were to not have it washed in 30 days to provide the paint proper process. Second one would think they would use protective plastic covers before sitting inside the car. I kindly stated it's just a heads up I'm ok but maybe someone else would make a valid bigger deal if they say the amount of residue inside and outside the car. He then asked me if I had windex. I said for what? (I found his responsive unprofessional and rather hysterical) he suggested I use it to remove the white residue-- I stated I could but shouldn't that be something you guys should have made sure to clean off? He suggested I bring it Saturday I said it's ok I took most of it off. (Regardless of the cleanliness of the car, it is their responsibility to not leave residuals or grease in or on the clients vehicles. It's about the principal. In my case my vehicle was clean inside and out this certainly was not acceptable but I let it slide) It's now Thursday 10/29 and the rubber piece is still coming lose! I called and James told me to bring it in, I had just expressed that it's difficult for me to take it in since I have classes today. He still emphasized to bring it in--I sort of feel under pressure now because obviously I can't leave this piece like this so I asked what time they close he said 6:30 pm. I must take it now and it's an actual major inconvenience. He stated they would order another piece charging me nothing. Wish me luck. I would have rather made an appointment so this piece can be finalized and well done. Update: I just called James unfortunately I must continue my classes for today I explained this and he hastily bring my car tomorrow Friday. I explained I can't either if there's a better day we can make an appointment so that way we're not rushing, he stated "just bring it in Saturday" I asked him again what's a good time for an appointment he hastily interrupted me and said "just bring it in Saturday" he's "there at 10:30 and later back at 2:00 pm". Not being able to make an appointment is absolutely inconvenient but I have no choice now. There's no point in me taking my rav elsewhere and it wouldn't be fair if I was charged for half-work. Update: I took it for my common service to Toyota and they found out the rubber piece was only placed with a piece of tape! read more

Marina Collision and Repair (in Seaside, Ca) is a great repair shop.. The owners, James and Tammy, (and Cliff, worker there) took good care of us and charged us less than their estimate because they said it took less time to perform the repair than they anticipated. How many businesses do that? Can' say enough positive about them. Should you need body work or repair, check them out! Honest, professional, competitive/low pricing. read more

I took my vehicle in and requested a quote or estimate and was told they would get back to me, so I waited a couple of days before I checked in. Was told they'd call me back, then nothing. Called back days later, got the run around and was told the same thing, then nothing...mind you, I am a runner who ran past his vehicle for over a week where I parked it in the street. I understand being busy, but I wasn't asking for the work on my vehicle to be done, just to be looked at and a quote or some kind of estimate to give the other party involved in a minor accident. Each time I called they were rude and not helpful at all and never returned the calls they said they would, so I finally just decided to go back and get my keys to take it elsewhere. Do not take your vehicle to this location unless you want to be sitting around twiddling your thumbs waiting for no response or help. read more

well god knows I have been to my share of body shops high and low across my 70 years... and just gotta say how completely thrilled and satisfied I am with the thoroughly superior workmanship, reasonable pricing (lowest estimate obtained), and kindness in customer communication that these folks have demonstrated. tammy and mercedes were just so sweet and helpful! quite honestly - after scrutinizing in bright sunlight - I simply cannot even see where the repair and perfectly blended paint were so expertly completed. read more

My daughter was in her first fender bender and lives away from home so we were not close by to assist her in the process of finding a place for repairs. She called many shops who wanted to charge her more then the car was worth. When we found this place it was a God send. James and his wife are amazing people with such great customer service (hard to find these days) and charged her half the price of these other shops AND had it done in less then half the time! Quality is great you can't even tell it was in an accident. Thank you James and wife for taking such great care of my girl while she's away adulting. I appreciate you and your kindness. I highly recommend them for your repair needs. read more

I'd like to begin my review by disclosing that the people who work here are personable and friendly. Why the three stars? Well actually it's only 2 1/2 stars but I didn't want to affect their overall rating too much. (Please see the photos that I am attaching). This is the condition that my car was in when I picked it up. I noted from other reviews that people were overjoyed at the fact that their cars were in such meticulous condition upon pick up. Unfortunately that wasn't the case with mine. Perhaps they were just too busy and they overlooked it. I brought my car to them over a month ago to have the hood and bumper painted. When I checked my new paint job, I noted that the bumper was not done. For $1000 I felt that the paint job should be done correctly. My husband called them and we agreed to bring the car back in a couple of weeks. (Once you have a car painted it needs to sit for quite a while in order for the paint to cure). So here we go, I take the car back and wait a week and a day to have the bumper painted. I picked the car up today... in this condition. The car was clean when I dropped it off. Oh well, at least the bumper is painted. I'll now be waiting another couple of weeks for the paint to cure. I guess that isn't so much of a big deal. Or is it? Would I recommend them? I'm on the fence. They did a terrific job on my son's car. I wish their work was consistent. read more

This place is the real deal. It's hard to find a reputable body shop these days but James and Tami are the best. They will do whatever, within reason, if possible to work with your budget. If you want to go full bore, they can do that, if you want something fixed but don't have a lot, they've got that as well. I send a lot of business their way, and have yet to have someone tell me they were disappointed. They will work on any car/made/model. Some body shops will quote you insane prices, if they don't want to do the work because it isn't "cookie cutter" easy. They don't shy away from that type of stuff. Their staff can do it all. Most other body shops just want the easy work and it's hard to find people to do true custom work because it isn't easy; it's a dying art or the people who do charge an ABSURD amount of money to do it. James and his staff love a challenge and always stand behind their work. read more

I've had my car there for a paint job and very minor body work and its been there over two months. Each time I call they give some excuse why it's not done. At one point they said it would be ready the following week, but I find out they did not start the work. Other times I call they said they are waiting for a part. They never even called with a quote for the work, but initally gave me a ball park estimate but that was it. read more

Believe the reviews. My sister'sHonda Civic front bumper was falling down to the point it can't be "popped" back in. We were getting quotes from other auto repair shops and this one was the best! Totally happy and satisfied with James and his amazing crew. James fixed my car door beautifully in under the promised amount of time and for a thousand dollars less than any other estimate I received elsewhere (half of the cost of one of the estimates I got)! He also went above and beyond and put my front bumper back on for me for free (not even related to my accident). Furthermore he offered to give me a free ride home and even offered to deliver my finished vehicle to my house.
