Our car was finished two days ahead of their projected completion date. Jordon contacted us every day with a progress report. They also provided a shuttle service to and from home since this was our only car. The shuttle drivers were all friendly and very helpful. I would recommend this business without hesitation. I found out that Victoria S isn't real, this is AI generated response used either by Yelp or by the company themselves so they don't have to respond themselves or take accountability for anything. I called and they had no idea what I was talking about. I explained my review, the stains everywhere and the HORRIBLE detailing they claimed they did. I explained that Matt H promised me before I even got the work done that I would receive a check for $200 for money back, in the mail from the company in 2 weeks as a thank you for trusting them. 3.5 weeks later I still have nothing. I made it clear I could not afford all of this work at the time I got it and tried to cancel it and I would come back in the fall. He assured me I would get the money back and he lied. My health has started to get worse cause I couldn't afford to get the supplements I need cause I'm on disability which means a limited income as well as a college student. I will be moving forward with an ADA complaint for this money hungry grab they did and a civil rights complaint as well. DO NOT waste your time with this company because they do not display any integrity or honesty or any kind. They don't care about you or your car, just the check from insurance. A great place and I'll give you two examples. Had a front end collision covered by insurance less deductible. The first place said the headlights would have to be replaced. (The appraiser annoyingly kept calling my wife "young lady".) I had my doubts so we went to Carstar and they said the headlights were fine so I saved my insurance company about $1,100. About a year later, someone front ended our back bumper. Had the repair done at Carstar and then asked for a clay bar and waxing while they had it in the shop The price was around $300 but they decided to knock $80 off the price because the rear bumper was being replaced and did not need clay bar or waxing. I had a great experience with CARSTAR Roberts, and especially with Kevin Burch. We were rear-ended back in March and the back half of our Subaru Outback needed extensive work. We were really impressed with how well Kevin communicated with us through the whole experience. He did the initial estimation and then coordinated all the repairs. There was a tight deadline; our daughter needed the car for a once-in-a-lifetime Spring Break trip. Kevin and the whole team made it happen, with time to spare. This is what this service deserve - exactly 1 star. Here is why. We started had a claim with insurance company and they referred to us carstar. It was 1 month old car in pristine conditions, damages from accident - very minor: driver door + mirror. So, what this guys did: they dissembled car including front / rear bumpers, moldings from rear side, where is no obviously no damages. In estimate for insurance, literally was included painting entire car. This fishy shop decided to make a bit bucks. We requested revisit estimate and include new OEM parts, apparently bodyshop decided to use non gem part on brand new car - that's excellent move and exciting news for owner - is not it ? Next, someone from this fishy shops texted to me with detailed estimate and pictures of parts to be used. Revisiting scope of work, we confirmed and gave acceptance. 3 weeks later we asked for update. Response was "we haven't started because no approval from customer. we are waiting". What this fishy shop were doing ? If approved is pending, they must reach customer, but apparently they did not care about you, at all. I would not mentioning here rude master, who gave bullshit to driver of car. Who btw was single lady recently received DL and she had no support. So I have to drive to Monterey to this stubborn fishy shop to pickup car (they did not want to release car !). Conversation did not went well, owner of this shop was completely disconnected from customer's situation, and started pushing how I as a customer is a pain for him. He believed he is right, until I showed him proof of my approval to start work. So, I saw this body shop, which might appeared as good as beginning, but our experience is negative: - Disconnection from customer - they can keep your car indecently, nobody give you a call for month - Rude personnel, three different people got same impression - Owner, who does not care about customer and gives bs rather than listen - Over charge insurance with redundant work Such business should not exists, because they against customers. read more

Wow. All I can say is wow. In September of 2018, there was a hit and run on my SUV and I had to get my bumper fixed. My INSURANCE recommended me to take my car to this place. Two weeks ago, I was in ANOTHER hit and run and had to get my bumper fixed again. This time, I took it to an auto body shop in Sacramento. Now.. let me back up the story a bit. When Robert's auto collision was working on my car, they claimed it'd take 3-4 days to complete. They messed up and didn't even bother calling me to tell me there'd be a delay. I had to call them and ask about my vehicle. Anyways.. the man working on my car claimed the paint job was off. They had to keep my car even longer to fix the issue. Okay, fine. I ended up having to get another rental car thinking my car would be ready in time. I DID let my insurance know about my negative experience when asked for feedback. Fast forward to today. The auto body shop I recently went to showed me what Robert's did in an attempt to hurry and fix the issue. I can't even explain it. A giant piece of rubber/plastic was painted and thrown on top of my bumper. My bumper itself was not painted. A piece of FRIKKIN RUBBER WAS PAINTED and placed on top of my bumper. It was insane how easily my bumper just fell apart from a small fender bender. Now before the owner (or whoever this is) wants to say she has no records of my car or who I am, I would be more than happy to come face to face with you and really discuss this issue. I have come here twice for insurance related auto repairs and both times I was blown away by the customer service and professionalism. Of particular note, Michael was prompt, thorough, and always demonstrated the utmost professionalism with me. Aside from the Collision damage I incurred, I suspected something else was wrong with my engine. I told Michael and he investigated the problem and discovered damage to my wheel bearing. Although my insurance wouldn't cover this service cost, Michael got me the best deal and was able to fix the problem quickly so I would not incur any more time with my rental. He was very accommodating and helped me get the right price in my budget. I would highly recommend them. read more

Unfortunately, my car has been rear ended on 3 separate occasions and for each incident, my car was sent to CARSTAR Robert's Collision. I'll start with saying the staff is genuinely very friendly and were all very competent when I had questions either with my vehicle or the insurance process. My most recent experience was definitely my worst. My vehicle was given back to me with a defective wheel bearing and horrendous tint job. CARSTAR corrected both but it was extremely inconvenient to have to return it for repairs and be without a vehicle for 3 days after being without for a month and a half. After having my vehicle for two months now, I've noticed countless flaws in the repair job. My trunk was painted horribly with clumps of paint in numerous spots as well as a whole strip that wasn't painted. My rear muffler was dented and the plastic deflector that protects the bottom of the vehicle came lose and was dragging. I was forced to stop at a dealer to have it screwed back on. The trim guards around my wheel were patched together and not seamless and the decorative chrome pieces on my bumper were not installed properly as they are bowed. Also, my rear seats are all wrinkled and very loose. CARSTAR does a great job at making your car look great superficially, so please take the time to really inspect their work. I wish I had the time to have all the flaws corrected but it's not worth my time. read more

Besides not fixing it correctly, the way they aligned the door caused a rubbing and more damage that they admitted to, but then refused to fix. They did not honor the timeline they said the work would be done by and they did not discount the work. They kept making strange excuses why it was done. In just a 5 day turnaround, they made my car look like new. It's truly amazing how they made that happen in such a short time. Don't ever take your car here. I would rather not have a car than take my car back to these people. This will go down in memory as probably the worst service experience I've had for any service in 6 years living in this area. Worse, it was a rip off. Our $750 brake job, oil change and raditor gasket replacement consisted 6.4 hours of labor... almost half of which was for totally dishonest and exaggerated "diagnostic" charges. What's the big deal? Here's but one example. $94 dollars to 'diagnose' a valve cover leak. When i asked what they did for their precious 1hr at $94/hr, they said "visual inspection". I pressed further and asked how long this visual inspection they outright admitted it took far less than an hour... "maybe half an hour" the handlebar moustache guy told me. Mind you they never actually did anything to the valve cover, they just looked at it called it a leak and charged us $94. Cha-ching! And here's how they stuck me with the charge, and several others (~$250) like it despite my protest. They pulled out a form my wife signed when she dropped off the car where they list the valve cover and other diagnostics with those exaggerated estimates in the margin. Robert's insisted that they billed the work as "diagnostic job" and so the rate was fixed when we dropped off the car. Our regular mechanic provides an estimate but always bills for actual work done. If they spend 10 minutes doing something they estimated an hour for they don't charge an hour. What a concept?! And said "careless" wife who didn't check their fine print or press them on these charges when she dropped off the car is pregnant and had our 2 year old in tow when dropping off the car. Foolish her for assuming these people have the scruples to charge for what they actually do, not stick a family with whatever they can con into their grubby little hands. To add insult to injury after keeping the car for 3 days to do 6 hours of work, they call us friday at 5pm asking us to hurry and come get the car before they close. In the midst of traffic, friends coming over for dinner... again whole family in pickup, over to Robert's. Keep in mind they're ripping us off, took 3 days to do six hours of work and now are unwilling to give us a ride to avoid pulling 2 year old from the dinner table and putting into car seat jury rigged into my pickup truck (since they have the car), to go get our vehicle. They weren't even willing to do a "one way" service (i.e. they bring the car and one of us drop them back off) which we offered. When we arrived there were two people in the office poking away at their computers. I guess we were supposed to get a cab, because all that bogus diagnostic billing requires lots of computer time. It takes a real boldfaced liar to put up a mission statement like the one on their website and treat their customers like this without a shred of remorse: "To Provide honesty,convenient service and quality products is our driving values. Treat our customers and suppliers in a kind and friendly matter." BS! This quite literally was the most repulsive experience I've ever had with any auto shop in my life. Be warned. read more

1 star for the very clean shop, quality service, and because they are supposedly very environmentally-friendly. However it does not matter how friendly your service is if you rip off the customer the moment they turn their back. They had my trust when I left the vehicle but lost it immediately when I saw the bill. They got me. Minus four stars for adding UNNECESSARY and EXPENSIVE SERVICE to our bill that was specifically requested to be avoided and NOT PROVIDING AN ESTIMATE OR EXPLANATION PRIOR TO PERFORMING SERVICE. Brought the car in and received good, prompt attention. I pointed out that the tail lamp was broken from a parked, hit and run incident. The bumper had minor "wear and tear" that I specifically said was unrelated to the incident and should not be repaired UNLESS costs already went over the deductible of $500. According to the bill the light replacement should have totaled only around $200. Of course, since I was paying with insurance they fixed a little extra here and there, took their time and somehow spent over ten hours (!?) and three days doing labor at $68/hr. and hundreds of dollars of paint on what the bill describes as "minimal dings and scratches". All I needed done was a lightbulb and a plastic cover replacement. Final bill over $1,000. Disappointing because they were so nice, I totally trusted them and then did not receive an estimate or explanation prior to them performing the service before receiving UNNECESSARY and EXPENSIVE SERVICE. Maybe this is common practice among auto repair shops with insurance inspector's in-house (GEICO), because they made it sound like it was my fault for not holding their feet to the fire. I will not make this mistake again. Sorry, for not assuming that you would be corrupt, my bad. I could give this place 0 stars I would! I took my truck to get fix in July and still having problems with it! First my insurance paid to replace the damage parts with new ones and what a surprise when I went to pick it up, I found out that they put the same parts but charged insurance for new ones thinking that we weren't going to noticed! I refused to accept the poor quality work they did so they had to fix it again with an attitude!!!!! My truck was there for almost 2 months and at the end is still giving me problems with alignment! I called them again and let them know what the problem was and just received a bad customer service making me feel I was trying to get something free!!! I just called the insurance and ask them to refer me to another shop since I don't want to be dealing with these people and I cannot even trust the work they do!
