Today my BMW stalled--blocking a lane on Hwy 68 in the rain. My insurance roadside assistance said it will take 1.5 to 2 hours for the tow truck service. A local police officer contacted Matteson and Beers to get my car off the road asap. Boom problem solved! Brian of Matteson appeared within minutes and knew where to take me to the dealership for service. Everyone at BMW knows Brian. I got all the help I needed quickly. I am saving this company's contact info in my phone and this will be the first number I call for roadside assistance. Not sure how they have Beers in their name but I sure needed one when I got home lol after my car issue. read more

My car needed to be at the dealership by 930 yesterday morning. Called Madison and beers towing at 8 AM, and they came to my house, loaded up my car, and got us to the dealership at exactly 9:30. Courteous, friendly, and humble. He tried to refuse the tip I offered him, but he could see I meant it, so rather than argue he excepted it. Thank you so much! read more

Brian is awesome... had a hose blow at the corner of General Jim & Canyon Del Ray. We waited on AAA for over 3 hours and they could not find anyone. We called Matteson & Beers Towing and Brian came out right away. He had 2 vehicles already on his truck, so he dropped em off quickly and came and got us out of there asap. We are from Hollister so he had quite a drive to take us home but had no problem doing so. He was reasonably priced and made us all comfortable getting home safely. I recommend him with out a doubt. United towing tried to rip us off, and Monterey Garage said they could not to us that far. read more

I recently had my keys stolen and needed to have my car towed to the hotel I was staying at. I called my insurance company and since I don't have towing on my policy, they offered to organize a tow but I'd have to pay. I agreed but after 20 minutes found the cost for the towing they were organizing was out of line. We then started calling local towing companies. When I got Brian on the phone at Matteson and Beers, he was amazing. He recommended other less costly options but they would have required leaving my car where it was over night and I didn't want to do that knowing someone had my keys. So, he got the address where my car was parked and was there in 15 minutes. He was amazing in getting my car onto the flatbed (required as the break was on). He then took us and the car to the hotel and offloaded it into a slot in the parking lot. He was so attentive to us, our car, and when another car was driving through the parking lot and needed to get by, he quickly jumped into his truck to move it so they could pass, then put the truck back into position to finish the job. Brian is such a gentleman and a wonderful person. He turned a bad situation into a very nice experience. read more

I blew a tire on Hwy 68 late at night. I called Matteson and Beers Towing and Brian was there within a half hour. Not only did he arrive quickly, but he made the whole process easy. He answered all my questions, dropped my truck off where I requested, and gave me a ride home. I highly recommend Matteson and Beers towing and would not hesitate to call Brian again. read more

Brian is our hero. We were on vacation in Carmel on a Saturday night and stopped to get gas for our truck. My husband by accident put regular gas in our Diesel truck. Brian came out within 20 minutes and really had compassion for our situation. We were stranded at a gas station with our dogs, toy hauler and truck. He was so nice and found us a friends auto repair to service our truck on Monday morning. Then he offered us his truck to use for the weekend to pull our toy hauler to our campground and have a vehicle for the weekend. You don't find wonderful people like Brian. You rock and saved our vacation. Thank you.!! We highly recommend Matteson & Beers Towing. read more

First Yelp review. Yippee. Called these guys for a tow today. Was told it would be about 2.5 hours because they were jammed. OK. No problem. 2.5 hours later I called for an update and was told they couldn't do it today. Would they have called to tell me this if I hadn't called them? Probably not. No courtesy call. No nothing. I basically sat around for 2.5 waiting for nothing and then had to scramble to find another tow truck service to get my car to the shop before they closed. Ridiculous. By the way, I ended up calling American Towing and a driver was here within 15 minutes. read more

Brian rescued me when my tire blew on highway one during rush hour. He assured my safety and then loaded the car. He drove me to Sullivans who stayed open late to change my tire. The towing was covered by State Farm roadside assistance. Love Matteson and Beers!!!! read more

I was stuck in the middle of Big Sur and I was so lucky to have Brian from Matteson and Beers Towing come to my rescue. He was an absolute professional, he communicated clearly, and was kind. Brian knew exactly what he was doing with my Tesla model 3 and treated my vehicle like it was his own. I never want to be towed again, but if I am, I hope I have the same level of service. read more

Agh, hate the feeling of being stranded...well that happened to us in the first day of our vacation. We parked our motor home and we're in the process of leveling it when the front jacks shifted and the springs can't loose. The jacks were down and we couldn't get them to move. We called Matteson and Beers and we're were told that Brian could help us. He arrived and knew exactly what to do, he jacked up the front of the motor home and using a heavy duty jack he was able to move the leveling jack back to and upright position and re attached the springs. We tested them and they worked perfectly. Thank you Brian for your years of experience and a job over and above, you're a rockstar in our books! read more

Wish I could give this place zero stars. My car got towed and its understandable there would be a fee. I was told 370 if I got my car the same day and 340 for the next day. Went the next day and on the receipt it shows they charged us for two days. How are they gonna charge for 2 days when the tow place picked up my car at 3:40 pm and got it back at 8:30 am the next day. Asked about the 2 days and was told its 2 calendar days. I was also told it would be a $100 after hour fee if we had gotten the car the same day. That doesnt add up to the 370 I was quoted. Charging random pricing should be illegal. The price seemed high for the car only being there 17 hrs. read more

Wish I could give them 0 stars. I had my car towed here and they severely overcharge you for their "services" a.k.a keeping your car parked in a dirt lot. My main issue with them was that when I went to check out the car I noticed they had stolen a container of coins I had. It only had $25 - $30 worth of coins in it, but I mean that's ridiculous. These guys are absolute scumbags and I would strongly recommend not using them if you have the option to. The lowest of the low when it comes to society read more

Great service. I was headed to insure my vehicle and it broke down. Lady on the phone was real nice and even mentioned she wanted to get the truck out before CHP and I thought that was cool. The African-American guy has a real genuine soul as well. Cheers. -Bob Delia Satisfied Customer BTW ... AAA wanted to charge me $130 and make me wait an hour on the side of the road. These guys were there in 20 min and only charged me $70 so I tipped the guy $10. read more

I am very proud of my brothers name Tosh Lupoi - Football family summer vacation from Alabama to Ohio from Crimson Tide to The Browns it's a family tradition to drive & love driving your own car! When that driver hit me & couldn't speak English at all & tried to open up my door uniquely enough she was very violent outside on the road with me & my car-- It's a family tradition in the Hispanic family cultural experience to blame the fool & she was blaming me on her end that I would pay--- she was a speeder with her little girl in there & very stressed & hyper-- she's satisfied knowing someone is going to get hurt before she's through with you or a heart that just won't break just to satisfy herself!! Madison-Beers & Towing really offered me warm laughter so wild & free yet insisting had nothing to worry about or just shiver as if I were cold- i never replaced my car- right or wrong- I was shopping for a new car at GMC Watsonville Buick & Cadillac where the dealership like Maddeson & Beers Towing went to the trouble to sale me a GMC used with 140,000 miles on it under 9 thousand - test driving went well it was an Acadia 2010 GMC & I loved it more than my Ford Taurus-- I miss my Ford Taurus a lot since the Mercedes E300 is like 60,000 thousand dollars brand new but the safest way to drive I really want the E300 Mercedes four door just like the Ford Taurus but the Mercedes dealership knows it's a dream I call 500 miles when the day is done-- read more

total uncaring- go eff yourself attitude from dispatch. she didn't even turn down the volume on the TV before answering the phone, let alone turn it Off! if the city hadn't authorized these evil people to tow my car---I could've loved living my whole life w/ out dealing with that b%^++#. and before you get mad i seem to be simply angry cuz my car got towed....No. I'm angriest that the woman had the balls to ask me "WHAT DO U WANT ME TO DO ABOUT IT!!!". and she wasn't asking. it is absolutely UNACCEPTABLE to treat someone who is FORCED to give u money with a "f@&$ off" attitude my condolences to her husband, if she has one i almost forgot she laughed at me when i asked how much it was going to be because it had been towed in the last hour and she "didn't have the ticket in front of her" she said it as if she has zero idea how much towing fees are. laughing at your customers, even if they are customers INVOLUNTARILY is NEVER a good idea! NEVER! read more

Complete lazy jerks here. Wouldn't recommend them for anything. Came to collect some things from a trailer that was towed and was told to come back because they'd blocked it in and I couldn't access it until some guy who was gone could come back to move it. Came back like an hour later at 4:30 and there's like 4-5 people sitting in the office doing nothing and they just tell me nope. They don't close until 5. Came here twice for nothing. I'm very angry at their rudeness and lazy attitude read more

Its unfortunate that I have to give them a star at all. I was considering having my car repaired and parked on street till I returned ,apparently you can't park for more than 72 hours. Police called this Tow company to pick up my car. Now I do understand it is my responsibility and do not deny the fact of why it was towed. But the tow yard did not send me a notice till 8 days later so I had no ideal and by that time they Rackedup enough charges! It would of only took a day to send a notice. I wasn't going to send a review but after meeting (the lady who's name starts with) "T" and not even knowing it was her till the nice older lady went to go speak with her outside. (The lady who's name starts with) "T" was just rude to me . I asked her if she worked there when I first arrived because I needed help to where to park outside and asked "T" if she worked there since she was sitting outside, she said no. Now mind you after I parked my car in front with my end lights on to quickly go inside to see if someone could help me... the older lady then cane out helped me to park after driving around 2 times... thats when I found out "T" did in fact work there and that she is the one responsible for sending out the notices. I don't mind paying for my own responsibility But it would have been nice for them to have better customer service. I personally like to work with people who appreciate others and offer great customer service. I do hope that this doesnt happen to anyone else as far as sending notices out after over a week its not OK to tell people to pay more than they should of had to and if they dont pay right away they will be sent to collections and end up having to pay $4,000+. Very Bad customer service, bottom line! read more

Matteson and Beers Towing - Paid in full. - Towing Near Me - Seaside, California

Excellent service. Less than 20minute wait, driver called me right away to confirm my location. It was my second attempt at using a tow service, the first company wouldn't even try because he said it would be too hard to fit his truck in the space available to hook up my car. As I understood, we can't really pick the places our cars decide to take a dump on us, now can we? The driver from Matteson and Beers handled my situation like a pro, and without even a hint of making me feel like I'd inconvenienced him. So very grateful. Would absolutely recommend their services to friends! read more

Team M&B Towing.. recently my alter ego "procrastination" reared its ugly head and my pride and joy, my baby "Hooptina" was impounded. I had the option of paying a $125 to sheriffs dept. for earlier release, however I couldn't even begin to dream of doing that since they just called for me to be towed.. so I opted to let my girl sit for 30 days. (I totally. acknowledge my fault in the tow) When the time came for me to pick up my pride, I was a ball of nerves to hear the final bill after 30 days. The owner was more than fair and had all the paperwork I needed when going to d.m.v and I can honestly say, I never would have gotten my car back if not for their assistance. It couldn't possibly be easy listening to customers pissed off day after day even when most are dead wrong... Costly mistake I made, and thanking God, these guys made my mistake a little more easy to handle... read more

Our son was stranded near Seaside and you folks were able to tow him to a very reputable and satisfactory mechanic.Your towing fee was very reasonable, but what impressed us the most, was your very professional attitude, including a nice note along with the receipt sent to our house 180 miles away. You were quick, efficient, professional. Our son is terrible at managing unexpected events but you were terrific. Super grateful!! D. K. read more

New Years day my wife and daughter were stranded on the Hwy 1 on ramp on Fremont Blvd northbound. They called AAA and had to wait 2 hrs. A driver named Morgan finally arrived after numerous calls. He looked at my wife's car and said he could not tow her vehicle and that she had to call another company! We asked if he could and why AAA didn't have one available. He gave us a lame excuse that we had to wait until 730 am to request a flat bed tow and that her car would be safe. It was 7pm. He refused to call another company and got back in his truck and left my family and myself all within 5 minutes! We took it upon ourselves and called Matteson and Beers Towing. Brian answered and said he would be there in 15 minutes. He came promptly with the same Tow truck as Morgan from AAA and reassured my wife and I he could do the job. He explained to us that he had 41 years experience. He was polite, professional and not only a life saver but in my opinion a true hero! I highly recommend Matteson and Beers Towing service. Thank you once again Brian from my family and I. Sincerely, Julian Atkins Seaside read more

i was in a accident that was caused by someone else. when i went to the office of matteson & beers, I was treated like a criminal with no respect by a pregnant 70 year old lady , I should of died 2 days before in the car they were holding for me in there yard for 4 days. i went to the hospital after the crash so my car was towed there randomly after the crash. the lady in the front office is rude and discusting. i was scammed 580$ to get my totalled car out of there yard. i had to pay no matter what!. i would never use this place. they where the worst part of my car crash ordeal. cold hearted people for sure. there is an african american guy that works for them and is very nice, and a hard worker. i feel bad for him having to work with people with such negative trashy vibes. truth hurts read more

If I can give this business a ZERO stars I would, after they received my service call, and leaving me stranded in the street for an hour and a half, and repeated calls to see when will a driver show up, on my last call the receptionist was so unprofessional , she said they are canceling my service call if I have an attitued waiting for their driver to come.. I was involved in an accident in Big Sur at sunset. It took Tommy about an hour to get there after he was notified, but when he arrived, had my vehicle on his flatbed very quickly, and gave my father and I a ride up to the Monterey area. During the ride northbound on Hwy 1, Tommy was completely profesisonal and courteous to us. He's one of the best drivers I've ever seen. He gave us a pretty accurate estimate of the total cost which was: $180/hour @2 hours + $55/day stowage = $415 My insurance paid for the tow, so the price didn't matter in my circumstance. Tommy was even nice enough to drive us to a nearby hotel after dropping off the wrecked car. The next morning they helped us load the vehicle onto a trailer at no cost. I read the other reviews before writing this one and have to say that my experience with Matteson and Beers Towing was 100% professional, courteous, and more than wiling to help my father and I. read more

Locked keys in the car. Called Matteson because of their close location. Quick, direct, efficient and no attitude when I requested him to confirm my location. Dishonest and greedy. If this isn't legalized theft, I don't know what is. Got my car towed for parking in a 2 am to 7 am tow away zone for a special event. My mistake. Fine. Go to pick it the same morning, a Sunday, assuming the longer I leave it, the more I'll be charged. The owner of the company runs my credit card, then gives me the bill. $100 tow fee, $55 1 day storage, $90 after hours gate fee. $245 total. Then he tells me if I would have waited until Monday, I would have saved $35! Refuses to give me a refund. read more
