One of the owners comes out, talks to you directly, and makes you feel like he remembers you and your specific situation. It doesn't feel scripted or like someone just trying to provide "good customer service." There is a genuine concern for what happened to your vehicle. I especially appreciated their honesty. If something can reasonably be fixed, they'll make the effort to fix it rather than automatically making it into a bigger repair. At the same time, they're very upfront about the reality of the damage, what can and can't be done. Pricing was fair, communication was excellent, and a special mention to Clara at the front desk. Each time we interacted she was friendly and informed. Nobody enjoys having to take their vehicle to a shop, but Gene's made the experience as pleasant as it possibly could have been.

The job involved replacing the fender, side mirror, and polishing the driver's side window. I was initially told it would take about a week. After 7-8 days, I called and was told it would be another day, which was fine. I picked up the truck after getting the call that it was ready, but I was in a rush and it was parked in the shade, so I didn't catch everything right away. Almost immediately after leaving, I noticed the window hadn't been polished as discussed, and the replacement side mirror was loose and bounced while driving--unlike the original OEM mirror. The next day, more issues became obvious. The headlight didn't fit properly against the new fender (there was a large gap), and the "Tacoma" badge was missing. I contacted them, and to their credit, they agreed to fix the issues. However, that meant another appointment, several more days without my truck, and another rental. When I got it back again, it looked better--but this is work that should have been done correctly the first time. Afterward, I noticed the paint blending was poorly done and doesn't match well at all in sunlight. At that point, I chose not to go back again, but it pisses me off every time I see it. To top it off, when I later replaced my headlights, I discovered a mounting screw was never reinstalled on the driver's side. Overall, this was a very disappointing experience with multiple oversights, extra time and inconvenience, and workmanship that didn't meet expectations. I can't recommend this shop. Really bummed, as this place has good reviews. I must have gotten a beginner working on my truck :( Just a shoddy job.
