We came on a Friday evening. It was super busy but the wait wasn't too long, they told us 25 minutes it was really more maybe 15. Our waitress (Alexandra D.) was super friendly and knowledgeable about the food, which helped steer us in our food selections. I didn't really want potato's with my meal so she recommended I sub out for the slaw, which was such a good choice. I 10/10 recommend the slaw. Food was delish. The mojito was delicious and well priced. If you're expecting super authentic Mexican food this place will not be your jam. This reminds me of an upscale Mexican inspired restaurant. Con's: The red salsa was not very good. The chicken dish could have used a lot more sauce. The kitchen service is slowish. But that is to be expected when a restaurant first opens. Overall very good experience. Great location but everything else is bad. Chips and salsa aren't on the menu and we weren't offered it by the server, so it makes me think they were originally supposed to be served to every table but the owners got cheap and held it back. Which is fine, but at least splash some on the dishes that comes out. But I'm not here to make your business successful. And for a place right on the waterfront attached to the ocean, the lack of fish dishes is disappointing. Anyways, I ordered the prime steak fajitas and it came with about 6 strips of small flavorless beef. Not worth it. They even spread it out to make it seem like it was a lot lolololol. We were really excited to have an upscale Mexican restaurant on the water. As a new restaurant I'm sure some kinks are still being worked out. The location is prime, the inside was well done and the service was pretty good. The food on the other hand missed the mark. Although the flavors were good, for the price I can't believe how small the portions were. Had I not eaten my daughters leftover rice and beans, I'd have left hungry after my tacos. For a place that doesn't serve chips and salsa upfront, you'd think you'd also get rice and beans standard, not just one side with most meals. We also had very expensive drinks that did not seem to have alcohol in them. Hopefully things get better as time moves on. There is a place very close by with very large tacos at a better price. read more

We decided to try Marina Azul on the waterfront last night. When we first walked in, the waitress let us know they had stopped taking food orders to let the kitchen catch up, but we were welcome to order drinks. My fiancé and I just looked at each other like, "What?" She kindly offered to ask the manager if they could take one more table, and thankfully he said yes. The restaurant itself has a great vibe. The bar is in the center of the restaurant, there aren't many indoor tables, but they also have a covered outdoor seating area that was really nice. The service throughout our visit was friendly and attentive. As for the drinks, I was a little disappointed by the limited selection. Everything I initially ordered seemed to be something they did not have. I also found it surprising that adding a flavor to a margarita was an additional $2. Our food arrived only lukewarm, which was unexpected since the restaurant wasn't very busy. My fiancé ordered the birria noodle soup and the short rib tacos. He felt the soup lacked flavor, but he really enjoyed the short rib tacos, they were tender and flavorful. I ordered the carne asada tacos with fries, and unfortunately, they just didn't do it for me. The carne asada lacked seasoning/flavor, and the fries were bland and could have used some seasoning as well. Overall, Marina Azul has a fun atmosphere and friendly service, but the food was hit or miss for us. read more

We had an amazing visit to Marina Azul. The customer service was fabulous, polite, and apologetic. Tour server kept thanking us for waiting. They had only been open for 3 days and she felt we had been very patient. We had not! We were enjoying our con VV rations and the gorgeous view from the outdoor patio. Their menu looks amazing. I look forward to trying everything on it. We were treated to chips and 3 types of salsa "for being patient". They were all fabulous and varied is spice. For our meals we ordered the Macho burrito, chicken rings enchiladas and the chicken to go tacos with pinto beans. We also ordered a starter, the shrimp ceviche. This was the star of the day. Do not skip on it. We will be back. The service is top notch. The food is full of flavor and freshness. The view can't be missed. read more

We've been dining at restaurants down on the Everett waterfront lately and saw Marina Azul right next door to the restaurant we'd gone to the weekend before. We've dined at the Millcreek Azuls and thought the location was part of that family of restaurants but we were informed that that wasn't the case. The menus are not exactly the same but pretty close I chose the seafood enchiladas and my wife went the chicken fajitas after we were seated in their outdoor area. It was a beautiful evening with a nice view of the marina it didn't take long for our orders to arrive. We had a nice casual dinner the service was attentive but not overly all in all good food and another good restaurant in the area we'll be back. One last thing parking can be an issue so plan for that. read more

Came here for lunch and a had the blanco enchiladas with a side of Spanish rice. I also had the jalapeño cucumber margarita and then we ordered some chips and guac and salsa. Everything was so good!!! I kinda wish they had chips and dip for the table initially , we had to order it, but that's ok. The place was clean, our server was very sweet and the food was delish. The food was very good. A couple take aways. I recommend providing individual plates with appetizers. Queso is very messy and was a race from dip to mouth without wearing it! Also, chop the slaw. It was great flavor but had to totally cut it up to be able to eat it. Finally, wait staff should have handheld to process payment at the table for customer confidence. My experience at Marina Azul in Everett was disappointing and fell well below expectations, especially for a Mexican restaurant at this price point. One of the first things that stood out--and not in a good way--is that they do not provide complimentary chips and salsa. For a Mexican restaurant, this is a basic standard and sets the tone for hospitality; its absence immediately made the experience feel lacking. Service issues were a major problem throughout the meal. One of our main dishes was mistakenly delivered to another table, causing a significant delay. Meanwhile, the accompanying side dishes--refried beans, Spanish rice, lettuce, and avocado--were brought out well before the main course, leaving them to sit and get cold. Even something as basic as water had to be requested rather than offered. The food itself did little to redeem the situation. Overall quality and execution were underwhelming, and the meal did not justify the pricing. In fact, we probably enjoyed the water more than the food. As a final note, I would not recommend the ramen. While it appears to be an attempt at Mexican-Japanese fusion, it ultimately misses the mark on both cuisines. Between the service breakdowns, lack of basic touches, and disappointing food quality, Marina Azul did not deliver a satisfactory dining experience. While the location has potential, the overall operation needs significant improvement to meet expectations. Save your money, go to the Taco Bell on Broadway! read more

I don't normally write reviews, but I felt compelled to after this meal. The location, atmosphere, and cleanliness were all excellent. Unfortunately, the food was very disappointing. I ordered the carne asada tacos with the jicama slaw. The meat was tough, tasted burnt, and the tacos were dry and lacked flavor. The jicama slaw was also dry and bland. The presentation was underwhelming and the price felt high for what was served. I spend my winters in Mexico, so I have a good point of reference for authentic carne asada tacos. I genuinely want to see this business succeed because the location has so much potential, but in my opinion, the menu and execution need significant improvement. Upon chatting with our lovely waitress, Miranda, she found out it is my sisters 20th, 21st birthday she brought my sister the most delicious churros reminiscent of Disneyland. 10/10 highly recommend. read more

Food was pretty awful, the carne asada was pretty bland and not hot. This was probably the most White American/Mexican restaurant I've ever been to. I can see why this restaurant is by the water. This place would not last in the city or any other place in town. There's no flavor to any of the food. Service was nice but forgot a lot of our stuff like utensils and napkins. We dined in on 6/28, arriving around 4:30. We were told it would be 10-15 minutes wait and provided a phone number. After 30 minutes passed we checked in and were told "I tried to call you but no one answered." I did not have a missed call. She did not apologize but found us a table quickly. Our server was friendly and informed us that chips & salsa were an extra charge, which we ordered. They were fine but our entrees (fajitas & enchiladas) were very bland. This restaurant just opened on the Everett Marina. Fantastic food! Wonderful servers. The decor atmosphere are comfortable and very fitting for the marina. The only thing was the margaritas are quite expensive and the glass is mostly full of ice. I would definitely go back again for the food, but I will have a beer or a glass of wine. This was my first attempt to dine here. They do not take reservations so I walked in at 6:30 on a Sunday night. I stood in the reception area right in front of somebody at the cash register. That person did not acknowledge me for over two minutes and then she walked away. Another person stepped up to the cash register and did not acknowledge me and I asked her how long the wait would be for dinner. She looked confused and then said an hour kind of like she was guessing. I did not want to wait an hour so I left but then decided to call to see if maybe there was a different answer. The person that answered the phone (who might have been the same person I talked to) said she thought the wait was an hour. I said what do people do while they're waiting and she said go to the bar. I said do they serve food in the bar and she said yes. I said if we sit in the bar, can we order and get food right away and she hesitated and said I think so. The attitude was very, very poor from both employees. I don't know if she didn't understand my questions or if she was just too tired to care, not sure, but the customer service needs work and especially for the price point. I went to Jack in the box instead, lol and the person who took my order was much more polite. I may try this restaurant another time when it's not so mobbed and hopefully I have a different experience. The person at the front should surely know to offer bar, seating and eating as an alternative to waiting for an hour. read more
