Unfortunately there is no lower rating than 1 star. This story is so ridiculous it sounds made up, but it's not.. This dealer has the worst customer service I have ever witnessed. I took my bike in for 12k service and also told them to look the bike over to make sure there is nothing wrong with it since I have a full warranty still. They took the bike in, called me 4-5 days later and said bike was done and everything was fine except some emissions hose that was cracked that I should replace (only like 20 extra bucks plus install). I said OK to do it, but they had to order it and it would take 7 days. I decided to leave the bike there that time. I called 7 days after and asked if they had gotten that hose, the guy told me it was on back order for another 7 days. I said OK, I'll just come and get it the next day and bring it back when they get the hose. They said fine and to come get it. I went to pick it up the next day with a ride there, paid for the service ($827, yikes..). The guy tells me to meet him in back and he'll get the bike. So I went to the back and waited around for 20 minutes and no one is showing up. Finally some guy comes out and tells me he forgot to tell the service guys yesterday that I was picking up the bike today and that it wasn't ready. He said it would take another 45 mins to an hour. I was pissed since I had to get back to work but had no choice. I was cool to them and said no worries, I'll go to lunch and come back in an hour. So, went to lunch, came back an hour and 20 mins later. I still had to wait another 35-40 minutes.. Finally got the damn bike and rode it home. The first time I took out the bike after that was a few days later on a Saturday. I rode for about half hour and got stuck in stop and go traffic, my bike overheated suddenly and all my coolant explode out underneath. I switched it off, pushed to side and called Hattar immediately. Told them what happened, etc.. They sent out their guy to pick up the bike and me (1.5 - 2 hours later). So, Saturday ruined and I was without a bike Sunday and Monday and Tuesday (closed Sun/Mon). They call me following Tuesday and tell me it's all fixed that they had pinched a hose when they put the bike back together which is what caused the issue. The guy was like "OK you can come pick it up". I told him OK, but that I was very annoyed that I just spent $827 and that this happened, ruined my Saturday and left me without a bike for an additional 3 days at least. Not to mention what could have happened if this would have happened in a high speed turn or something.. I told him I wanted some sort of refund in that service fee. I told him OK, but that I was very annoyed that I just spent $827 and that this happened, ruined my Saturday and left me without a bike for an additional 3 days at least. Not to mention what could have happened if this would have happened in a high speed turn or something.. I told him I wanted some sort of refund in that service fee. He basically said no and all he could do is deliver the bike to me free of charge. I said that meant nothing to me and I need to talk to a higher up. He gave me the name of the service manager (Michael) who is impossible to get a hold of. I tried calling Michael few times next few days and he's never there. So, I called and asked for general manager (Jim M.). I told him the whole story and he actually seemed empathetic to the situation, apologized and said he would talk to Michael and they would call me in a few days. I let 5 days pass, no call.. I called Jim again asking what was up, he said he'll email Michael again to call me. I waited a whole week this time, no one calls. I tried calling Michael again, again he's not there. Clearly at this point it's obvious they could care less about customer service and just wanted me to go away. I call Jim yet again, stating that I'm very annoyed that no one is calling me and it's been 2 weeks. He apologized again and said he was texting Michael as we spoke and he actually asked me what I was looking for in this whole thing. Seriously? After all that? I told him I wanted some refund on $827 for bringing in a bike in perfect working condition, having them break it, ruining a whole Saturday for me, possibly damaging my bike and leaving me without a bike for 4 days (mind you it's ~$200/day bike rental in Bay Area). Michael called me back hour later, apologized and said he had been busy.. Really?? 2 weeks of this and you're a service manager? Anyways, he said he was sorry but he felt they did everything they could to fix the situation and he coulnd't give a refund. He said I still owed $86 for the hose repair which he would deduct. I told him this should have been under warranty and they said initially it would be submitted? He wasn't even aware of this, so this is either incompetence or deceit. He offered nothing else and I had them delive the bike few days later. Nothing makes sense here, why did Jim initially say he was going to do something, jerk me around for more than 2 weeks and then not do anyhting? Needless to say, never going back (I was a former customer) and I'm going to write complaint letters to Triumph USA, several state consumer agencies and am looking into legal options. Why does Hattar have so many positive reviews? Because most negative reviews are deleted. My review below got deleted 9 times already and I've noticed several other negative ones got removed - I will keep re-posting every day: Hattar has horrilbe customer service, period. I took my bike in for 12k service and also told them to look the bike over to make sure there is nothing wrong with it since I have a full warranty still. They took the bike in, called me 4-5 days later and said bike was done and everything was fine except some emissions hose that was cracked that I should replace ($20 extra plus install). I said OK do it, they had to order it and it would take 7 days. I called 7 days after and asked if they had gotten that hose, the guy told me it was on back order for another 7 days. I said OK, I'll just come and get it the next day and bring it back when they get the hose. They said fine and to come get it. I went to pick it up the next day with a ride there, paid for the service ($827, yikes..). The guy tells me to meet him in back and he'll get the bike. So I went to the back and waited around for 20 minutes and no one is showing up. Finally some guy comes out and tells me he forgot to tell the service guys yesterday that I was picking up the bike today and that it wasn't ready. He said it would take another 45 mins to an hour. I was pissed since I had to get back to work but had no choice. I was cool to them and said no worries, I'll go to lunch and come back in an hour. So, went to lunch, came back an hour and 20 mins later. I still had to wait another 35-40 minutes.. Finally got the damn bike and rode it home. The first time I took out the bike after that was a few days later on a Saturday. I rode for about half hour and got stuck in stop and go traffic, my bike overheated suddenly and all my coolant explode out underneath. I switched it off, pushed to side and called Hattar immediately. Told them what happened, etc.. They sent out their guy to pick up the bike and me (1.5 - 2 hours later). So, Saturday ruined and I was without a bike Sunday and Monday and Tuesday (closed Sun/Mon). They call me following Tuesday and tell me it's all fixed that they had pinched a hose when they put the bike back together which is what caused the issue. The guy was like "OK you can come pick it up". This review is for all those that know what they want, do a little research, then chance the rest. I was viewing post on cycle trader when I came across a bike that caught my eye. I am a reluctant buyer until I can Goggle, Yelp, and read any review I can com across. I reviewed by bike I found it was what I was looking for. I went to Hattar's web site and was pleased to find that the price was reduced from the Cycle Trader's ad. I called Hattar close to closing on Sunday and they were understandabley busy, but called me back a little after closing. I had to wait until Tuesday to see the bike. I'm, admittedly, a very difficult customer because I hate to haggle and I hate to wait. I decided that if I really wanted this bike Hattar would have to do all the work to make it happen. Tuesday I had to be at work at 11:00am and I wanted to see the bike. At 10:45AM the parts counter called for a sales person. Valerie shows me the bike. She started it and answered a few question cheerfully and honestly. Once she realized I was on a time table she really put things in motion. She took my bike to have it accessed and introduced me to Bill who took my credit vitals to work up some kind of trade and financing options. At 11:15am I had to call work and say I would be late.... I left and said I could come back at lunch to see if a deal could be worked out. At 3:20pm I arrived to see what could be offered. Bill had arranged a few financing options that I could choose from which all matched my expectation for reasonableness. AJ then assisted in getting the papers signed with Valerie. I was back to work with my new bike by 4:15pm. I spent a total of less than two hours buying a bike. They took this all in stride and showed an extraordinary amount of patience with me. I don't recommend this type of buying because if I had had the time I would have liked to spend the day at this dealership. The people are wonderful and the eye candy of bikes and parts lends itself to leisure browsing, but it is nice to know that if you are in a hurry and have done some homework these people can pick up the pace and get you in and out with what you want in very little time and no aggravation. I'm 48 years old and have been riding motorcycles since I was 7. The customer service and the way I was treated at this shop is like I've never experienced before. I took my 2003 Ducati 749 in for service after moving it out here from Chicago. The bike was in excellent condition with less than 3500 miles. After having my bike for 3 weeks and a $1500 service bill I picked my bike up. My first ride out after picking up was very short lived. I was going around 60 to 65 mph when I felt a weird sensation that I've never felt before and before I could realize what was happening I felt the fairings pull away from the bike almost taking me off the bike with it. I returned to the shop when they opened the next day with my bike and pictures from the side of the road. The bike showed clearly no fault of my own due to the fact there is no damage other than the fairings ripped off both sides of the bike. After being treated like I knew nothing about motorcycles and being told they were not at fault I was left standing in the service area with my once nice bike and around $2800 damage and I was told that I should've checked all the screws and fasteners on my bike before each ride. Anyone that says they do that especially after it comes out of a certified shop is lying. The manager wasn't in so I called later only to be told that his mechanics are the best and would not forget to tighten down all fasteners. Then I was told he was too busy that week and I should call him later in the week and remind him what my complaint is. You have a customer that could've been injured or worse and you brush it off like this when negligence is clearly your fault!? Looks like I will have to file in small claims court. :( read more

I have five low mileage 2004 Monster 1000S Ducatis, that I have collected since the end of 2010 (nine total, but four went to two buddies), albeit one is racking up many miles. Tod (my service/mechanic guru) and Jesus (please come back) have tuned every one to run extremely well/smooth, even with me demanding a low idle. Tod has been most forthcoming answering every question that I pester him with, and even shows me the tools used, so that I can learn and then I often buy that tool from Ducati. He hopped up my daily rider with high compression pistons and lumpy cams, so that it is nice and torquey. Dave (now in sales), Danny (previous parts guru, now at Scuderia), and now Matt (present parts guru), Nathan and Ashley, have been extremely helpful selling me many parts and spares, and finding items no longer in production. Ari (service guru), Ben and Andreas fit me in at a moments notice, and throw me a lot of bones. Ari has made me a happy camper, to be sure, and Jim treats me very well, and everyone is kind and friendly, and most are bikers/enthuiasts themselves. Steve has changed/balanced scores of tires on the nine bike fleet, whilst being extra careful with the painted rims, and Rich ferries me occasionally in the company rig, and regales me with dirt bike stories. I have never been so pleased with a bike shop, and I have had over 80 road bikes since the sixties.
