Option A was a lot cheaper then Option B and he stated he would try option A first, even with the low success rate. I told Dave I would get back to him, because I was swamped with time to get my Sportster to him. I contacted him at the beginning of February and Dave wasn't hesitant to take my bike in. I dropped off my bike 2/7/19 and my bike was ready 2/11/19 with the stud fixed and brand new TBR exhaust on. The one thing I really appreciated was Dave's honest business. He texted me Saturday saying the bike was done and option A was a success, when he could've easily charged me the price of Option B, and that speaks volume for his work ethic and him as a person! Also, Dave's pricing for labor and parts is the lowest I've found without sacrificing quality of work! Thanks again Dave! Ill be coming back for future work!

1Motiv's services are not cheap BUT worth every penny and then some!…read moreI'm a relatively new rider that bought a brand new 2021 Indian Scout. Customizing your ride is a big part of the cruiser lifestyle and I have been committed to doing as much I could on my own (following Youtube instructional videos). Some jobs are just too big to roll the dice on your own. I wanted to install custom mini-ape hanger handle bars. I knew at the very least these would involve ergonomics and bike performance. There was no way I was going to attempt this on my own. I left 1Motiv's owner Lee a detailed voicemail. A day later he contacted me from a motorcycle racing event back east. We scheduled his consultation visit and on the day Lee showed up with his white van and his own folding work tent. His van was also packed with almost any tool he needed. Lee's consultation appointment was a lot of fun and in the long run he saved me a lot of money and regret. After test fitting the 10" mini-ape hangers I bought he made me realize that I actually wanted taller bars. I could've lived with the bars I had but I would always know that I would have settled for less. In addition I realized I would need a longer clutch cable. Fast forward a month or so and I've got the custom clutch cable and exchanged the handle bars. Lee hand-cut and spliced every single wire in my bike's electric harness and then took those wires and pulled them through the handle-bars. The wires were totally protected, my controls and buttons all work properly, and I am constantly getting compliments on how clean the job was done. A lot of people assume the dealership did it. Then Lee saw that I had new minimalist LED front turn signals which I would've installed myself (as I had done the rear signals) but he insisted on upgrading those, and installing my new shifter/brake pegs, and then he even readjusted my headlight and it was so much better than how the dealer had set it up. I had also ordered custom seats from Corbin, and something was off with the seat's lock when the seat was delivered to me. A component broke and when I reached out to Corbin multiple times they wouldn't help me. Lee came back another day and did such an amazing repair job that it's almost impossible to tell something was wrong. He fixed the locking mechanism, and I now have the perfect saddle. We have plans to do some other mods to my bike this year. I'm really looking forward to our next session. Lee will not only inspect and warn you about stuff to look out for, he will also tell you exactly what he's doing, how any part of the motorcycle is supposed to work, and how to do maintenance and upgrades yourself. The bottom line is Lee loves motorcycles and he will treat your bike as if it was his own.

We were in need of some motorcycle maintenance for our Harley Night Rod Special and Suzuki SV650…read more We found lots of guys on yelp with heavy duty yelp review profiles. But then there was Charles with zero reviews but a really friendly picture. He looked like a dad figure I could trust with our bikes. I called around to the other guys first but didn't get "the feeling" and was compelled to call Charles. Not only was his yelp picture friendly but he was immediately the most friendly guy on the phone. It was clear Charles is the kind of guy who can work on all cars, all bikes because he has been doing this his whole life. We decided to bring the bikes to him. Actually we had someone else tow our bikes there and just trusted that Charles would take care of them. He knew they needed new batteries but he also gave them a good check over to make sure they were safe. The bikes were sitting with gas in them for over a year, so Charles cleaned them out. First off, Charles is also great with communication. He'd call and text to let us know the status and prices. I can't imaging anyone can beat Charles' prices. He is a quick worker and is extremely fair. There were no surprise costs or anything. He fixed them up in 1 day and was happy to hold onto the bikes a few extra days while we got them registered. We met him in person when we picked up the bikes and, wow, what a wonderful guy! He was so nice and knowledgable that we decided to leave our Prius with him so he could look at the brakes and let us know if they needed new ones. He said the front were good and suggested replacing the rear ones. He did so in 1 day and we returned to pick up the Prius. Charles is a great choice for probably anything you need. Trustworthy, knowledgable, friendly and has great prices. PS- Did I mention he has a band and they play out of the garage? So cool. It was set up because they have an upcoming show there but we haven't heard him play yet.

I first reached out to them about my leaking fork seals, and I had the pleasure of speaking with Shawn. He told me I could bring my bike in for a quick inspection, so I stopped by and they took a look at it and gave me an estimate. From the beginning, Shawn was transparent about the pricing, what work needed to be done, and what I would be paying for. Before coming here, I had gotten quotes from other shops, and TokyoMoto's price for replacing my fork seals was significantly better. I was so happy with the price and how they treated me that I decided to have them replace my chain as well. Obviously, adding another service increased the original estimate, but everything was explained clearly and there were no surprise charges. I had seen a previous review mentioning unexpected or last-minute charges, but that was not my experience at all. Shawn was very straightforward about their pricing and what each charge was for. I always felt like I knew exactly what I was agreeing to. They were also fantastic with scheduling. Since my motorcycle is my daily commuter, they worked with me to find an appointment that wouldn't interfere with my schedule. Luckily, I ended up being able to bring it in on one of my days off, and everything worked out perfectly. The whole crew at TokyoMoto was friendly, responsive, professional, and transparent throughout the entire process. My bike came back riding great, and I genuinely appreciate the work they did. They've definitely earned my trust, and TokyoMoto will be one of the first places I call whenever my bike needs service in the future.
