Jose installed a new tire in under 15 minutes for a wheel that I brought to them. When my girlfriend's motorcycle would not shift into neutral the day before I was meeting with a new buyer - Jose and Liz saved my butt. They were direct, gave a rough quote and a timeline so my expectations were met and I was not left guessing when the job would be completed. Turned out the transmission needed a new shifter fork due to the accident. In no time, this was sorted out. They gave the motorcycle an oil change and minor alignment. They were even kind enough to help us with the paperwork for the sale of the motorcycle. Everyone left happy with no surprises. The R7 Goes In for Its Break-In Checkup…read more I just got the new 2022 Yamaha R7 back from Wheelsmith Racing and it's running like a dream. Raul Meono had it in and out in a day and had some nice things to say about the R7. In particular he noted how light it is and how straightforward the valve check and other items were. I first went to Marc Salvisberg's Wheelsmith Racing with my new 1989 Yamaha FZR600. Raul had started at Wheelsmith in 1981 and his brother, Otto Meono Solis, joined Raul in 1990. In recent years Marc has done the dyno tuning on my bikes, but since I first brought the FZR in, all the other work has been done by Raul and Otto. Every single time in the past 32 years their work has been perfect and delivered exactly when they said it would be. Also, Raul and Otto are two of the nicest people you're ever going to meet and it's a pleasure just to see them. And it's not just me; their customers love them. The technician told me that if there's no code they don't know what to fix. Think about that. If the computer doesn't tell them what to do, they don't know what to do. They're not fixing bikes over there. They're just clearing error codes. There is no troubleshooting at all. Also I was charged $80 for the trouble of NOT finding the problem and NOT fixing it. Steer clear.
