Have been a very happy customer (all 3 of us) for 20years. They collaborated well w/ our sons pediatric opthamologist / surgeon when he was younger and the staff has always been exceptional in their communication and care. We always know up front about charges and what our insurance will cover / what we pay out of pocket. The selection of frames is exceptional and will fit pretty much any budget. I have been getting my eye appointments and glasses here for years and my husband also gets his exams, glasses and contacts here. They have an amazing selection of frames that have the rest of my friends and family jealous. Dr. Vesper is amazingly patient and knowledgeable. He truly cares for each of his patients and takes the time to really understand what is going on during the exam. He uncovered a couple of things with my eyes that I don't believe other doctors would have been patient enough to bother with. I won't see any other eye doctor and that is saying something since I only visit Arizona once a year to see family. Very easy to get an appointment and they do an excellent job letting you know before you do anything what your insurance will cover and what your out of pocket will be. The exam was very good and the doc explained the difference between a progressive lens and non progressive to help me make a decision on what I would want. read more

This was a great place to visit, I been here for years, I made an appointment November 2022 for me and my family 6 in total and when I went today March 14 for the appointment the person at the front desk says I have to pay upfront something I have never done before, she said it was 40 dollars per patient because of something change for them, How come I made an appointment 5 months before and just now you tell me of this mysterious new charge? Couldn't you told me when I made the appointment in the first place and if this started this year why wait till last minute to tell you about it? What if I have my money already set for this ? I think you can charge whatever you think you need to but the patient has to agree first, not put them in an embarrassing situation and then threatening to charge me a $50 dollar cancelation fee if I cancel the appointment. Doctor didn't know what to prescribe? He said he my eye sight was bad but couldn't prescribe anything. Is he new, is he a doctor? I left the office and was confronted by the front desk lady asking if I needed to buy something. Would not recommend, I am lost for words. Waste of time and money. read more

The doctor was very informative but not as informative as he could have been as he rushed and flew by any explanation. He asked me questions and cut me off before I could answer. I just didn't know what was going on. He moved so fast that when we were done, he might as well sprinted out of the room. I had to stop him and ask if I was good to go. I would have given this location higher stars but there was one female employee that really made the organization look bad as she was unable to conduct herself with any ounce of control when my 2 year old son got away from his older sister and ran down the hallway towards the bathroom. Not happy at all. They will take your money but don't expect them to follow up if there is an issue. I suggest buy online. Customer service at eyebuydirect.com is stellar and you will get glasses in a week as well as excellent communication and follow up and prices are a fraction what they charge in stores, even cheaper NOT using insurance! 1 star was given because of the Dr. although when we talked to him about our problems with his stuff he was unapologetic. I used to love this place the front desk lady was the best. She sent out reminders to the whole family each year. Then about 2-2.5 years ago she left and it has never been the same. The staff is rude they will argue with you about how you would like your glasses to be eBen though you are the one wearing them. We meet again! Yeah! Even though this is my first eye care doctor :( sigh :(. No more of no glasses for me. I have to say that the professionallism of all the staff here is amazing! Everything was so easy. Dr. Vesper was the best. He took his time and explained everything to me. Literally like an hour, or so it seemed. I have heard through the grapevine (my technically blind wife, who obviously cannot see me, or we would not have been together for 20 years now) swears by Dr Vesper. She has this wierd thing with her eye where it just kinda moves and gets stuck (eeeeeeeewwww) and says that he is the best eye doc there is period. Believe me she has seen some who are super specialists, and I believe that if she says its good here at Maricopa Eye Care it is. I thought they had a good selection of frames. I do not know much about that but i found some that i liked. (even with my big ol' noggin) And if you simply want the best sunglasses there is, they have an awesome selection of Maui Jims, and can even make them Rx if you need it, as I do, sigh;( So if you are here in Maricopa, PLEASE be sure to get all your eye care needs here. I've been coming here for years and plan to continue that. My exams with Dr. Vesper are always thorough and when I ask a question, it doesn't seem like a burden to him. The office staff is BEYOND awesome! They go way out of their way to make sure you end up wearing what you like. Most recently, Tasha and Jeanene helped me try to locate a new frame, and after trying out a number of different frames, I just couldn't find one I loved. Jeanene even went so far as to scour her suppliers online catalogs and put together a detailed PDF for me, but I couldn't find what I was looking for. Though I ended up buying my frames and lenses elsewhere this time, I came back to get them adjusted which Tasha took care of. I felt a bit embarrassed bringing my new pair in, but they got them taken care of all the same. I don't think they need to worry too much, because my backup pair of glasses needs new lenses. Mike went above and beyond to inform me about the different brands they offer and to help me find a pair that fit my face perfectly! My girlfriend broke one of the arms off of her glasses and we saw that this was close and offers FREE repairs to the public, even if you aren't a customer and didn't buy them there. Walked in and got helped right away, even though they were busy. Was all fixed in about 5 minutes. Amazing service! read more

Dr. Vesper is incredible and the office staff is very nice. There may not be as many frame styles to choose from as some of the bigger chains, but that's not always a bad thing. They go out of their way to make sure that you are happy with your glasses, that they fit well, and provide continued service if a problem should arise. read more
