Margie's is a great local spot for brunch! There is a great variety of breakfast options and you have to try the MKC potatoes! Always have a great experience at Margie's and their food is always made with high quality and pride!

Margie's was so perfect for our girls' brunch today. The Bloody Mary was more than delicious, and the group ordered a variety of food that all was more than impressively yummy! Avocado toast, French toast, burger, margarita pizza and the mimosa flight! Service staff was so friendly and very quick. We will definitely be coming back again!

I have been wanting to try this restaurant for quite a while and finally got the opportunity tonight. Even though we did not have reservations, we were seated right away. I ordered the salmon with a fig glaze. My friend got a salad. I took a bite of my salmon and immediately realized there was something very, very spicy on top of the salmon which was not advertised! Granted, I am Norwegian. In my world, ketchup is a spice! I wish I had known the salmon would have spicy items on it, as would have requested they be on the side. After I stopped breathing fire, I was able to taste the salmon and it was good. We also got dessert of the cookie sundae. It was also very good. However, I saw other people getting cookies at their tables, but we did not? Are the cookies only for people who don't get dessert? I would return to Margie's but will make sure to ask if it is served with anything spicy next time!

I just heard about this place and it is sooo good!! 10/10 recommend for someone who is craving a nice burger or pasta. I've gone here during the happy hour (which is a great deal $9 for hh) and once during dinner. All the workers are very fast and attentive. I love that everything is made from scratch kitchen and they also gave a cookie at the end. My favorite from the menu would have to be the smash burger- upgrade to sweet potato fries and margie's exceptionale pizza. I also got a $7 cocktail. There is so much more I would love to try, so I would def come back. Plus, there's plenty of parking and there's live music every Thursday night!

Service at the start was horrible. Waited 20 minutes just to order drinks. We came at 1:30 pm on a Saturday. Pizza was okay, not the best. Pepperoni with bacon pizza I would give 2/10. But came home and threw it in the air fryer then it became a 8/10. Definitely a hit or miss with the pizza. Someone came up to me when I was trying to leave after sending in this review. The GM talked to me, I will make it clear they did not ask to make a new pizza. All they did was apologize for the mistake. This was my first time going here and will be the last.

This was my second visit to Margie's. Went for brunch with a friend. Margie's has an open kitchen and a very large dining room, because of this the noise level is a bit higher, but not bad. Our server was friendly. We both ordered the tostados, mine with salmon and hers with chicken. This is a multi-layered dish with tons of flavor. The salmon was cooked perfectly and just a nice hint of spice. Coffee was very good. They also have a full bar and some fun drinks.

Popped in for a quick cocktail and lunch. Sat at the bar with a gf and were attended to pretty quickly. We both ordered the chilaquiles...I had a Bloody Mary, she had a grapefruit drink. My bloody was very tasty but the skewer had old dry cheese on it. The chilaquiles were super fresh and so amazing. The eggs on top were perfectly cooked and the salsa verde was delish. One thing that was odd. The bartenders and servers were concocting new drinks and were doing heavy sampling of the drinks. Didn't seem appropriate or ok, but maybe it's acceptable there? In the end, food was great and I do recommend.

Walleye Pontalba

I have to admit, when my son in law said we're going to diner at Margie's Kitchen and Cocktails, I was less than excited. It sounds like a dive bar or something. I'm visiting from out of town, so I decided to suck it up. This place is medium fancy with very good service. The booths are set up to where there is very little noise from nearby tables. This would be a great date spot. I hade the Walleye Pontalba (walleye, Canadian bacon with potatoes with shrimp & lemon) It was really great! I have had Walleye now 3 or 4 times on my trip and this is by far the best. Highly recommended! This is definitely a spot that I would love to come back to.

It was a bit of a trek through rush-hour traffic from our hotel but so completely worth the trip. Discretely located through a door marked only by a red light above it we were warmly greeted by gentleman behind the hardware counter. We were prepared to answer with the password to let us in but for some reason it wasn't asked. No big deal. You are then sent through a door into the beautifully dimly-lit space of the speakeasy. There is plenty of seating, with small tables and some booths. We were shown to our table and greeted by one of the great, friendly hostesses. Drinks are ordered directly at the bar with one of the attendants. You immediately pay for your order which will then be brought to your table. Different but really a nice idea. The music was also nicely unique, with a mix of oldies from the 50's and 60's. An old black and white James Cagney movie played silently on one wall. In terms of the cocktails I have to say these are some of the most delicious and finely crafted drinks I've enjoyed. I began with the Start Your Engine, a delicious gin-based drink. My wife had an absolutely fantastic smoked Old Fashioned, smoked in a large box for a minute or two. Wow! Probably the best we've ever tasted. My second drink was another gin cocktail, the Last Word, which I'd been wanting to try for some time. A fine gin supported by green Chartreuse and lime, this was simply sublime. Highly recommended. The bar and menu is quite varied and extensive, so you're sure to find something to your liking. The space has a great vibe and mellow ambiance. Sufficiently dark, cozy and very nicely and eclectically decorated. Service was outstanding and informative. Reservations are recommended. Like many such places you are "limited" to 90-minute timeframes, which sometimes seems like not enough but ultimately works quite well. The quality of the cocktails, space and service all make for a really enjoyable time. Well worth many visits.

The guy that greets you asks for the password (yes they actually have a secret password!) then he takes you through a metal door into the bar. Love the decor and ambiance. Lots of nooks and places to sit where you are not smashed right up against another table. The food is really just snacks which is fine since this is more of a go there after dinner kind of place. The cocktail menu is extensive, almost overwhelmingly so. I typically go with my gut when it comes to cocktails but because of so many options I asked one of the cocktail servers for a recommendation and was not happy with the result. I honestly think since she was so young, she probably doesn't have much experience drinking craft cocktails yet so I can only blame myself. I did try my friends' drinks and they chose wisely. I am definitely looking forward to going back and trying something else.

This visit really stood out as I tried the bone-in pork chop and it absolutely blew me away! Flavorful, tender, just all around perfection. I would absolutely recommend - and this coming from someone who doesn't often order a pork chop as there are usually dishes that stand out much more. In this case, it would be a mistake not to spend $25 on a pork chop and get a $50 steak! Service was solid, good wine selection. Only real complaint is that one glass of bourbon was $25 when that same bourbon was on a flight for $30 with 2 others - sadly, I didn't know the individual price but it really made that seem egregious.

Pour is in a little strip mall. They have added black curtains and some cozy seating areas from when we were here last. Nice updates. Our waitress was very accomdating until she got busy then we felt we were forgotten. We ordered the Drunken shrimp , bread with olive oil and the avocado toast to start with. The drunken shrimp is just as good as we remember the saffron sauce is sooooo good! but there were 3 of us sharing the apps and it only came with 2 crostini's we asked for a 3rd so we could each have one but little did we know that one very small skinny piece of bread had a $1.00 charge to it. The steak bites with their homemade blue cheese sauce was to die for melt in your mouth!! I even asked if we could buy some of the blue cheese sauce, she said no but that she would bring us another dish of it but she never did. My girlfriend ordered a cranberry mule drink, she was charged an extra $1.00 for the cranberry. We also ordered the goat cheese with sauces that were very delicious with an ample amount of crackers. We got the chocolate Ganache cake to share for dessert. But............ the waitress never took our empty dirty plates but showed up with the dessert with the mess on table, I asked for extra clean plates but she never brought them. Everything we ordered was very delicious, but as the night progressed our service got worse, we asked for the bill but she never came back to get our payment and we had questions my girlfriend walked it up to the bartender with our payments. 2 of us were paying cash and one a credit card and we were charged an extra fee of $5.18 for her using a credit card. That is when we saw the $1.00 charge for 1 piece 3/8" bread and the $1.00 for cranberry mule. Talk about nickel and diming. We would love to go back but unsure if I can get past some of these things. Also, now looking at the bill even closer, none of us had a mimosa and we were charged $8.95 for one.How did we miss that? All added up we paid $16.00 more than we should have. CRAZY!! Sadly, Don't know if I'll be back.

There are plenty of high-top tables and booths to accommodate a decent crowd. MaGillycuddy's Bar is one of those places that instantly makes you want to settle in and stay awhile. The atmosphere strikes that perfect balance between cozy and relaxed, thanks in no small part to the awesome tin ceiling-- it kind of gives this place a vintage charm you don't see often. The crowd is just what one would expect, just regular folks enjoying a libation and watching the Wild game. And they have pulltabs!! We settled in on a high-top table and ordered beers and our lunch. The Nashville Hot Shrimp is a must-try. just the right amount of heat, and packed with flavor. The Guinness cheeseburger is an open-faced burger topped with fries, Guinness cheese sauce, and, of course, bacon. That was a bit messy, and was enjoyable, but there are some other items I will want to try before going back to that entree. Between the solid food offerings, the friendly vibe, and the cool interior, MaGillycuddy's has all the makings of a local favorite.
