I've had Marco's in the past, but hadn't had it since they began opening locations in Arizona so I figured I'd give this spot a try. Pizza was just "meh", there are certainly better choices in this area for less. The chicken was a little better, and consistent with my previous experiences at Marco's. My issue was more with my experience than the food, per se. I called in and completed my order over the phone, then went to go pick up some pizza and boneless wings. I arrived, give them my info, and the employee takes a minute to look at her computer, then checks a couple places in the store...seems confused, and comes back to tell me "it'll be a few minutes". Whatever, despite arriving on time, I grab a chair out front and make a call to kill some time. As I'm talking to my friend, I see them start making my pizza, then throw the boneless wings in...and it becomes obvious that somehow they neglected to even start it in the 20 minutes or more since I had placed the order. I spend another 15-20 minutes waiting, it would have been nice if they'd offered me SOMETHING (discount, dessert, maybe at the least acknowledge your mistake and throw me an apology?!?) for wasting my time, but not, they tried to play it off which was not the right way to handle the situation. read more

WOW is all I have to say about my visit I ordered 2 pizza and bread sticks that was amazing but what impressed me the most is that there was two people working in the kitchen that blew me away with how Efficient oscar and natalie worked together while then had phones ringing and a full screen I've worked in pizza for the last 6 years and I've never been impressed with staff and how they work they have all been lazy and slow to do anything so I give props to the managment and ownership and hey if you guys are looking for a cook I would love to join the Marco's crew thanks for the wonderful pizza and the awesome staff read more

We've lived about 1.5 miles from Marco's. Used them a few times. No complaints. Pizzas are decent. This evening we ordered a Greek pizza and an Italiao sub. Four minutes on hold. Unusual but ok. They said 25 - 30 minutes. 16 minutes later piping hot delicious sub arrived at the door. Nice salad as well. Impressed and figured I'd give them some kudos. I'd recommend their steak sub as well. read more

Oh, Marco's, what has happened to you? When we moved to Mesa, you immediately became our favorite pizza place, but you've steadily gone downhill in service. Tonight was the culmination of poor service! We attempted to place an online order, and your maps STILL have not been updated. We were told you don't deliver to our location (we live less than 1 mile from your store, and you have delivered to us multiple times). So my husband called the store to place our order. The person taking our order on the phone said we were unable to get the online pricing because we were calling in. He attempted to explain that we would LOVE to place an online order, but the system was not allowing us to do so. The Marco's employee then told him it would take a manager to override the price. My husband asked to speak to the manager, at which point he was placed on hold. After a few minutes the same employee got back on the line and told him the manager was TOO BUSY to talk to him. Too busy to talk to a paying customer? WOW! Marco's must be rolling in money during this time when many other businesses are struggling. We got off the phone and placed our order with another local pizza place, for more money. I would rather give my money to a friendly, customer-centric restaurant, rather than one that thinks customers are expendable and a waste of time. No thanks, Marco's! read more

This place has great pizza! Everything here is real good EXCEPT the customer service. The customer service was great before now it seems you're doing them a favor by ordering from them. They have become very rude, very impatient with customers. I only order delivery. I can"t imagine if I walked into this place and ate there. When I ordered the chicken club sandwich I had asked and paid for hot sauce on it and a ranch dipping cup and none of it was there. Also when ordering online for the selection of cheeses one of them just says cheese, which is extremely vague. It was apparent the workers didn't put much effort into the sandwich, it wasn't cut and the only two notes to select from were do not cut and well done. I've ate here a few times and I've thought the pizza was pretty good. I had ordered those times just pepperoni and simple stuff like that. Tonight however was different. Laura looked on the menu and ordered a specialty half Uno Deluxe and half Chicken BBQ. I was starving and when I saw that pizza box open up I was not let down when I bit into that deluxe. At that moment I quite literally felt it was best piece of pizza I have had in years. The sausage was so good. I then continued eating and ate a piece of the chicken bar BBQ. Ordered 2 medium pizzas for delivery at 715pm. I was told 30 minutes. 1 hour later I called to check on the status of my pizza. The response I got was "sorry it's out for delivery, we got slammed". I said I should have just came and got it...he said "you still can". I'm thinking, but you said it's out for delivery; so I asked if it was still there....the reply was yes it is. So I go get it and he rings me up $32 for 2 medium pizzas. I had to ask if I get a discount for not getting it delivered...they gave me a 50% discount. Here we sit eating cold pizza...which I should not have had to ask to be discounted but not only that it should have been free especially since it had probably been sitting there for 45 minutes and it's cold. read more

I moved to Columbia, SC from Chicago and I tried every local Pizza Parlor. The closest pizza to "Pizanos on State St." Rush Street location was Old Chicago Pizza on Gervais St. In Columbia, SC. I was satisfied until Marcos on Hardscrapple sent a coupon to my Apt complex at Lake Carolina,SC. Not only Delicious but delivered Hot. Manager Mike is on fire promoting his store with enthusiasm. Talk about enthusiastic owners. I am from Michigan and yes I can't believe I am supporting an Ohio based company? " GO BLUE" I am in Mesa, Arizona visiting my 97 year old from Flint, Michigan. She loves your BBQ Hawaiian Pizza. The owners at Marco's 446 S. Higley in Mesa have Great Customer Service and really appreciated us advising the Snowbirds. We also loved the Family garden salad as everything circled the salad for topping choices. I ordered the same salad in SC but it was all layered on top of each other which made it hard for different choices? Saw an ad on TV for this pizza...had never heard of it before and thought we'd give it a try. Sorry we did. It was fairly expensive for takeout (they have tables inside their store but also a sign on their counter that states NO PUBLIC RESTROOM - so not really a dine in place.) I tried to order on line but it didn't allow me to write in any specific instructions, so I called and was immediately placed on hold for almost 10 mins. Went back to the online order page and placed my order. Then called them again. This time they answered, and when I started to give them my name, the person who answered said, "oh yeah, we don't have ground beef." (It was on their menu.) So I asked if they could just add more pepperoni in place of the gr. beef, and she yells to the cook, asking about it. The rest of the call was equally rude and brash. But to top it all off the pizza was very, very average. No better(but significantly more expensive) than Papa John's or Papa Murphy's. I even like Little Ceasar's better. Marco's brags that they're authentic Italian. If I'm going to spend that kind of money to get authentic Italian, Grimaldi's is authentic Italian pizza! read more
