We had better service here than most "normal" sit down restaurants. And the food...not one item we have tried was bad, the vast majority have been the best in their category. Best mozzarella sticks: it's obvious it's a higher quality mozz than whatever everyone else uses. Crispy perfection! Best GF/cauliflower pizza: lots of toppings to choose from (though somehow chicken isn't an option on DD) and again, from the mushrooms to the sauce, you can taste the difference. They make the sauces in house! According to my husband, best Chicken Parm he has had since moving here! You get a healthy portion. And...best cannoli in the area! Growing up in a predominantly Italian and Polish area, I have been lucky to have REALLY good Italian pastries...and their cannoli was reminiscent of those times. This has been the ONLY cannoli in the greater Cincy area that is worth consuming, IMO. All in all, we would dine in at Il Gusto constantly, if we lived closer. Glad they're on DoorDash though! If you are in the Kenwood area, and want a break from the chaos and crowds, Il Gusto is close by!

Great ice-cold beers, pizza, more. Playground! Indoor and outdoor seating…read more We were in town for a wedding, and we ate at MadTree Parks & Rec several times (May 2026). Our host was able to make reservations for seating areas for large numbers of people, so once we had two areas of a dozen or more, and a couple other times we had one area of that size. This flexibility was a big plus because we could only guess at how many would make it each time. We had ice-cold beers of every description, including IPAs, hazys, and other local crafts. I can't name them all, and some drafts aren on the printed menu, bu5 8 kniw we had Psychopathy, a flavorful IPA, and Seeing Colors Tropical IPA, with a sweeter / hazy profile. Dont miss their cocktails! We loved the S'More Espresso Martini: vodka, chocolate liqueur, coffee tiqueur, and espresso :-) So much yum! And we ordered various pizzas. Our favorite was the Scenic Supreme (pepperoni, sausage, mushrooms, red onions, green peppers, black olives) and the Vista Veggie (about the same without the meats). I also saw friends devouring Caprese Canyon (olive oil, minced garlic, fresh mozzarella, fresh basil, roma tomatoes, balsamic drizzle). And of course regular pepperoni. Tasty crust, tasty red sauce, (you could get white sauce), generous toppings. We got the large sizes, which were enough for at least four people per pie. Sandwich-wise, the most popular was the Cuban Reuben: marble rye, corned beef, ham, swiss cheese, sauerkraut, dill pickle, and Russian dressing. It's the added ham and pickles that move it toward a Cuban sandwich. Well-stacked, hot, and flavorful. For local flavor, the Goetta sandwich: that flavorful Cincinnati oat-pork hash, with candied bacon, american cheese, pickled jalapeños, lettuce, and ranch. Here and there we shared Buffalo fried-Cauliflower with celery and ranch on the side. This was. Not as spicy as it could be. But if you're going to eat cauliflower, this is tasty approach. We like the tangy Fried Pickle Spears better, served with lightly-spicy chipotle ranch. And we added some fresh crunchy Caesar salads, too, and and amazing pecan, apple, blue cheese, cranberry salad! So many candied pecans! Somehow, the servers kept up with an erratic flow of orders from different groups, keeping track on portable devices, so it was easy for each group to settle their own bill as-needed. It may not sound like much, but it was impressively smooth and error-free. And the staff remained helpful, and cheerful throughout. They built a large playgroup area with slides and climbers and more. Inside there's a large play camper that we spent a lot of time in, too! This is a great place for fresh-air dining, for large groups, and especially for kids. We lived the food and drink. Lots of wonderful leftovers, especially those huge pizzas!

I really liked the decor!

We ordered a Sicilian pep (which actually serves probably closer to two people, not three) and a Mr. Brown. The Mr. Brown had great mushroom flavor, but I couldn't appreciate any truffle at all. The cheese was also crispy rather than my preferred -- gooey/stringy. I also sampled my friend's Sicilian pizza. The crust was lacking the pillowy chew (I expected a slightly firmer foccacia texture), and instead had a harder crunch. Overall a great experience from a service standpoint but I think I'll try satisfying my future pizza cravings elsewhere

I hate that I had to use a 3rd party service for delivery, which is what made my overall cost ridiculous. Their actual prices are very reasonable. I'd like to go in again because you can get pizza by the slice, which is great for me because I don't necessarily want a whole pizza some days. Do yourself a favor and order/visit ROC-A-Fellas. But since our daughter moved to Brooklyn, we have been craving some of the best pizza we had there. So naturally we had to try Brooklyn Pizza closer to home. We ordered a pepperoni and a Greek salad, carry out. Easy ordering online and the estimated time for pick up was right on target. I walked out with a steaming pizza and a chilled salad. The salad was great. Veggies were fresh and crisp. Plenty of Kalamata olives. The Italian dressing was a little bland so I'd probably choose a different dressing next time. The pizza was very good! Lots of cheese and a good amount of pepperoni. The crust was good, but I wished the cheese and sauce went right up to the edge on all the slices (a few slices were more crust, less goodies toward the edge). But I just left those slices for someone else to eat (gives hubs the side eye). Ambiance wise, this is a restaurant in a strip mall. Tables inside were 3/4 full on a Friday night. Friendly servers. Parking lot out front was a little narrow but enough spots to be found. Bottom line: Given this is not NYC, it was pretty good. We'll try the again - maybe the 3-meat version.
