I was very reluctant to have tree trimmers on the property again because some years ago I was sued when a worker was injured and his company refused to take care of him, so as the homeowner, I was on the hook. In crazy California, that's how it goes. Glad I had good insurance and didn't want to lose it. I did my research and found Pineda's tree care. Ernesto called and texted, came by and gave a very good estimate and even said he'd include removing a roof-high weed tree that had grown up along the rear of the house that the insurance hadn't even mentioned. Ernesto and a team of about 5 guys showed up the next day and I was very happy they were all outfitted with the proper safety equipment, including headgear. Very professional. They worked quickly, and well coordinated - obviously these guys had been working together for a while. In just a few hours they had a 40-foot overgrown pepper tree and an overgrown Juniper and the weed tree done and pulverized and the area cleaned! My wife works from home and she wasn't even disrupted! Their chain-saws were surprisingly quiet. If you need tree trimming or removal please call Ernesto. It's just not good business to not only give a price and shake on it, but no that I'm canceling another person and wouldn't get that deal back. I do not recommend Pablo. I would warn you against making an agreement and having him change the price on you. In this kind of business, that is wrought with rip off artists and people doing a bad job. It's already bad enough that they have a terrible reputation in this world and then he goes and confirms that reputation. The Ash tree was my main concern because it is close to the Edison power lines so Edison comes twice a year to cut back the tree close to the wires. Needless to say the tree was vastly out of balance and needed some trimming. Miguel (the owner) came out and listened to what I wanted to have done, explained to me what his experience suggested would be the best thing for the tree, my yard and my pocketbook. =) I chose Vero's Tree Service because Miguel provided a competitive price, but mainly it was Miguel's knowledge of trees that won me over. Because the Ash tree was so big, Miguel thought it would take two days to get everything done. But they got it all done in one day as Miguel brought in another climber so there were two guys working on the Ash tree. All three trees trimmed, yard cleaned up and flowers pots back in place. The cost was around $40 and this wood lasted 2 nights and two mornings of fire. This surpassed what I would have paid at a grocery store for those tiny bundles at $8.00.
