A Follow Up Review from my last review:…read more Because I had used Ivor and Preferred Turf a few years ago for my backyard, I decided I wanted to also update my front yard by replacing the grass with turf. I got tired of paying the water bill, constant fertilizing and feeding along with mowing and weeding. Iver promptly came out and gave me a fair bid. Because I had used him previously and had vetted four companies before selecting him, I did not feel I needed to get any further bids He immediately started on the work and finished as promised. However, due to the weather at the time, he knew he was gonna have to come back to stretch and tighten the turf once the weather warmed up. Ivar and his team returned to the house over the weekend and made all the necessary adjustments to tighten up the turf and make it look pristine! I vetted four companies originally to do my landscape project before selecting Iver. He is a man of his word and will follow through with anything he promises. Don't hesitate to get three or four bids, reach out to him for an appointment. You won't be sorry.

I have positive things to say about Evergreen Landscaping and a negative thing to say. I'll start with the good. We hired Evergreen Landscaping to do a backyard project in 2022 and a front yard project in 2025. The total cost for these two jobs was $48,000 and the work was done in Thousand Oaks. The work involved pavers, walls, stone, turf, irrigation, plantings, and lighting. Garret and his crew did a good job and we were happy with the results when they finished. Garret was good to work with and almost always responded to concerns we had. When some items needed fixing after the first project was done, he returned and took care of them. After the 2025 project, however, he has not returned to do any warranty work. Garret has not even responded to any of my attempts to reach him. In October 2025 I sent him an email indicating that the bender board edging that he installed was popping up in many places, and that a couple of plants had died. These are warranty items. A week later I followed up with another email. Next I sent a text with a picture of the front yard showing the problems. Still no response. Then I called him several times, leaving messages when he did not answer. Between each communication I waited a reasonable amount of time, just in case he was very busy. All my communications were polite and brief. He didn't respond to any of them. I just called him again in early February and still got no reply. I think Garret is acting very unprofessional and I'm very frustrated and disappointed in his refusal to reply and to honor his warranty. His website states "We stand behind our work, every installation is guaranteed for 15 years." Actions speak louder than words. Just be aware that he might not return to do warranty work if you hire him. read more

Andy was incredibly responsive. He made time to come by and look at our yard within a day of reaching out to him. He followed up and gave us a great quote for synthetic turf installation. His staff showed up right at 8 am and worked hard all day. They were back the next morning at 8 am to finish the project. They cleaned up the yard before leaving. The turf turned out great. Please note this time frame doesn't include cement to cure and sealer time. This is extend by weather and cement which can not be controlled by no one. Steve was professional and on time. Please note that we have a phase II planed in 6 months for additional cement on the side of the house.. We are actually looking forward to our second project with Steve.
