I wasn't able to use Turf and Paver Exchange but their help and customer service was amazing.

Let's start with, getting turf for our backyard was more of a necessity than a want. We've been contemplating selling our home and therefore we knew we had to do something to spruce up the backyard. The question became if we stay, should we dump a lot of money into the backyard or if we sell just do the bare minimum. As the pictures show, we were pleasantly surprised to the outcome. The backyard turned out spectacular! Brad had great visions in his design. And Brian was the foreman who managed a very efficient team. They knocked it out in two days. The only thing I'm upset about, is that I did not do this 10 years ago when I really wanted it. But as the saying goes "amazing things happen to those who wait". read more

As a contractor myself I am a natural critic of other's workmanship, inevitably noticing imperfections that most people usually miss. I can say that this company's performance was essentially flawless from start to finish including cleanup that was impeccable. From initial communications to timely service, fast and efficient installation and followup visit to assure our satisfaction combined with faux turf that appears so realistic we seriously had to tell our gardener not to mow it, these folks are simply on their game. Thank you Brad, Mitch and crew for a terrific experience and outcome! read more

Albert and Foreman Ivan did an exquisite job on our Santa Barbara, artificial turf. It came out fabulous, it looks extremely real. Unless you stepped on it, you would honestly think it was real grass. We were worried about having animals, but the way that he installed it filters all of the urine perfectly. They are the absolute best in Southern California! I also wanna mention just how communicative and timely they were. Messages would be responded to within five minutes, extremely prompt! Turf Exchange is, hands down, the best home-service experience I've had in years -- truly exceptional from start to finish. For context: I got four other quotes before deciding on Turf Exchange, and I'm so glad I did. They stood out immediately on professionalism, clarity, and overall expertise -- and they absolutely delivered. Brad was beyond outstanding: responsive, professional, patient, and genuinely invested in making sure everything was right. The level of customer service was way beyond what I expected -- clear communication, thoughtful guidance, and a "we've got you" attitude the entire way through. He even showed up on the installation day! And the install team? Absolute pros. Efficient, organized, and incredibly hardworking. Pedro and his team showed up ready to go, moved quickly without cutting corners, and treated my yard with care and respect. The finished product looks phenomenal -- the turf is beautiful, natural-looking, and the installation is immaculate. The edges are clean, the grading is smooth, and everything feels solid and perfectly executed. What really impressed me is that the experience was not just good -- it was easy. No stress, no confusion, no runaround. Just a high-integrity company doing excellent work with an excellent team. If you're on the fence: don't be. Turf Exchange is the gold standard. I would recommend them a thousand times over. read more

We recently purchased turf to complete our backyard. Brad Halpern, Sales Manager for Turf Exchange , worked closely with us to select the best turf for us, called "Wild Grass"! Brad was so professional, knowledgeable and friendly . On the day of installation, Ivan led a four man crew who prepped and installed our turf. The four of them worked together so well, and by the end of the day, the job was complete! They cleaned up the street where the base was dumped, plus hosed down our patio, leaving the job site perfectly clean! We are extraordinarily happy with our new turf and feel it was an exceptional value. Roger and Karen read more

These guys did a phenomenal job installing very very realistic looking turf in my back yard. You can't tell it's not grass. From start to finish, our experience with Turf Exchange has been great. Brad really got to understand our lifestyle and used the info to make his recommendation. Their crew, led by Emiliano arrived right at the agreed upon time and got right to work. They cleared all the overgrown grass, asked clarifying questions when they were uncertain and finished the same day. We used Turf Exchange for turf and pavers for our front, back and side yard landscape. We chose the "Santa Barbara" turf product and we love it. It looks very natural and the install was perfect with no low spots/puddling after record breaking rains. The pavers also came out great and the crew was very patient as we worked through my design vision for the paver layout. Where Turf Exchange excels is their install schedule. They bring a massive crew and got our job done in 4 days. Other bids we received had timelines 3-4 times longer. The crew were the hardest working guys I have ever seen and were very professional. Highly recommend Turf Exchange. read more

Turf Exchange delivers on what seems like an impossible promise: the best quality turf, installed the fastest, at the best price, with a crew that is easy to communicate with. We received 4 quotes from various companies for a 1k square foot project including a lot of haul away and Turf Exchange was by far the best price AND the best quality since they manufacture their own turf. A crew of three guys came in and busted out the entire project perfectly in one day. Our home has really been transformed and the front yard is now the envy of the neighborhood! In August 2021 Turf Exchange installed their Rincon 80 turf in our backyard. We have greatly enjoyed the grass and it gets very appreciative comments from others due to the realism of the turf and the great installation. When asked, we have always sent folks to this company as we were extremely pleased with both the organization and the product. During the recent remodel of our front yard we wanted to get the same turf installed. We asked Turf Exchange to provide a proposal for the work due to our prior experience with TE but eventually selected a different landscape contractor as the scope of services was greater than those offered by TE as well as better pricing. Our contractor provided numerous samples from his existing turf suppliers but none were preferred to the TE Rincon 80 we had in the back. I agreed to a change order to obtain Rincon 80 turf from TE. As soon as the crew was laying out the first area it was apparent something was off. The bright green color was very different from the deeper, emerald green in our backyard. Needless to say the colors are far off and nothing we would have chosen had we seen it beforehand. (You can see the cutout circle of the new turf laying on top of the old turf in our backyard on the attached photo.) As soon as the problem was noticed we stopped further work on the turf with the majority of the Rincon 80 still on the roll. I asked my contractor to get to the bottom of the issue which he attempted the following Monday and from which he sent me a video of the conversation. One of his project managers visited the TE showroom with pieces of both the old Rincon 80 and the "new" Rincon 80. When questioned, one of TE's owners, Cory explained it was simply a dye lot issue. This answer would certainly bring into question the quality control of the manufacturer TE is using if their dye variations are that far apart. Then Cory changed his tack and explained it was a new, improved turf. I am fine with a better product in terms of materials and manufacturing processes but color change is not an "improvement". It seems there should have been a name change for this newly colored turf as it is quite confusing to a prior customer. For example, when I buy a gallon of Navajo White from Dunn Edwards one year and then go back three years later, I expect their current Navajo White to be pretty much the same color. Later that day I contacted Cory to see what could be done about this issue. Having been a facilities and projects manager I am aware that errors and misunderstandings occur on every project. Usually, owners, contractors and suppliers try to resolve issues where there is not a clear, single point of responsibility. In this case I accepted some blame for making the assumption that Rincon 80 had not materially changed from the identically named product I had purchased three years earlier. The contractor had accepted some blame for not having enough on-site supervision to notice the difference in the old and new turf colors before laying the first piece. I suggested to Cory that TE had some blame for having a very different product but calling it by the same name on their website. All that said, Cory was adamant the fault lay totally with the customer and no returns, partial refunds, etc. would be given. Even when I said I would be willing to purchase the Santa Barbara 100 turf from TE (It is a much closer match to the old Rincon 80 BTW.) there was no concession offered. This was a lost sale opportunity but he reiterated I was stuck with the turf delivered. This was an unsatisfactory resolution to me, especially as a repeat customer that had been a strong supporter of Turf Exchange since 2021. Hopefully TE can make a change so others aren't mislead by the old vs. new Rincon deception. As a fellow professional I always valued my company's reputation for customers satisfaction. In this situation Turf Exchange's mishandling of the situation has changed a loyal supporter and referral source to a very dissatisfied customer and company critic. read more

If I write five reviews a year, that would be exaggerating. I applaud outstanding service. We are very happy with the "lawn" that Turf Exchange installed. We have been having irrigation issues forever and water is so expensive in Santa Barbara. I have been thinking about this for two + years. I've had several bids and the folks at Turf Exchange returned my call almost immediately and scheduled an appointment the next day. The sales rep Brad is a super friendly and savvy guy. Really enjoyed working with him. He knows his stuff. I have to do a shout out to the crew that came out. If you want a quality product, great service, and attention to detail, this is the company that you should hire. We had our front and back yards done by them, and they did a phenomenal job. Brad, the sales rep and part owner, is very friendly and explains the entire process in detail. There's no hidden costs, nor any shortcuts in the work process. You know everything up front. No surprises. Eric, the foreman, arrived punctually with his crew of six men. They were very professional and knowledgeable. Each knew his job, and they worked their asses off. I loved their attention to detail. For example, not only did they cap each individual sprinkler head, they had me turn them on to make sure there were no leaks both before they laid the turf and afterwards too to ensure there were still no leaks. It's rare to find that much attention to detail and conscientiousness nowadays. After they completed the job, they cleaned up such that the place looked cleaner than before they arrived. The product is high quality and looks great. Their cost was very reasonable. They were recommended by a friend and I can now see why they got such a good recommendation. We too would highly recommend them to anyone considering getting artificial grass. Fantastic job!!! read more

My husband and I recently bought a home in Newbury Park and had been discussing installing artificial grass. We had artificial grass in our previous home and we loved the look. We called Turf Exchange (at the recommendation of friends who had their grass installed by them), and we were very impressed with the presentation Brad gave us. He took his time showing us the different styles and recommended either the Rincon 80 or 100. We decided on the Rincon 80 as the blades were two inches, versus two and a half for the 100. On Tuesday, May 21, Brad, Eric and the crew were at our house right at 7:30AM and started working diligently. I can tell you these young men worked REALLY, REALLY hard. They capped all of our sprinklers, leveled the areas that had dips, and cleaned up the whole front and backyards, and the parkways, once they were done. You would never have known there had been dirt or gravel in our driveway. We are EXTREMELY pleased with the look and feel of the product. It looks amazing!! read more
