Let's start with, getting turf for our backyard was more of a necessity than a want. We've been…read morecontemplating selling our home and therefore we knew we had to do something to spruce up the backyard. The question became if we stay, should we dump a lot of money into the backyard or if we sell just do the bare minimum. As the pictures show, we were pleasantly surprised to the outcome. The backyard turned out spectacular! Brad had great visions in his design. And Brian was the foreman who managed a very efficient team. They knocked it out in two days. The only thing I'm upset about, is that I did not do this 10 years ago when I really wanted it. But as the saying goes "amazing things happen to those who wait".

Garret came in slightly under the others - and actually was able to do a little more within my budget than the other options! We also love that when he came out, he actually had sample grasses for us to pick from on the spot and a booklet of all the paver options, so it was easy to visualize the end result. He also gave me a much better warranty on the work he did than anyone else. The team worked fast and efficiently. And once they started, they finished within a week. And when it was done, they let me keep the excess materials, in case we ever need repairs down the line. Highly recommend!

A Follow Up Review from my last review:…read more Because I had used Ivor and Preferred Turf a few years ago for my backyard, I decided I wanted to also update my front yard by replacing the grass with turf. I got tired of paying the water bill, constant fertilizing and feeding along with mowing and weeding. Iver promptly came out and gave me a fair bid. Because I had used him previously and had vetted four companies before selecting him, I did not feel I needed to get any further bids He immediately started on the work and finished as promised. However, due to the weather at the time, he knew he was gonna have to come back to stretch and tighten the turf once the weather warmed up. Ivar and his team returned to the house over the weekend and made all the necessary adjustments to tighten up the turf and make it look pristine! I vetted four companies originally to do my landscape project before selecting Iver. He is a man of his word and will follow through with anything he promises. Don't hesitate to get three or four bids, reach out to him for an appointment. You won't be sorry.

Alex from Turfland worked with us to schedule a golf putting green for our backyard. He brought…read moresamples of different artificial putting greens and fringe turf. We opted for the MSI putting turf with fringe pet turf as we have a dog and maintenance would be easier. They were able to get us quickly scheduled and got it done in just one day. They took care of excavating the original grass, digging out a few inches of dirt, covered it with a weed prevention layer, then filled it in with gravel and leveled it out. Then they were able to install our putting green design we discussed with beautiful curved edges. We had a water drain running underneath already and they were able to connect to it to help with water drainage in case of heavy rain. Overall, we absolutely loved the end result and spend so much more time in our backyard practicing our putts and even short chipping from a nearby mat. With less maintenance and noticeably less bugs we even have movie nights here and the turf has held up well. Worth the money and long term investment as we got more usable space for the family with rates below the average costs in LA.
