I understand if you have to ship it back to a company or take it to another warehouse and have employee time to restock it, but it literally is 5 feet from the cash register and they're still going to deduct a percentage. I will no longer be doing business with them and going to another metal company.

I've used Jorge twice and both times he and his crew have done an outstanding job. The first time I used Jorge was to remove a tree and grind the stump. The second time I used Jorge, was to remove a tree & grind the stump, and to trim a ficus. Jorge is always professional and it's apparent he takes care of his equipment. Before using Jorge, I had a guy who kept raising his prices on me, saying that he had to because he had to go rent the equipment, which he then passed that rental cost onto me. When I found Jorge, Jorge made it clear that he is able to keep the price down because he owns his equipment and does not have to rent anything. Both times I've used Jorge, I noticed that his trucks are clean and operational, he shows up when he says with the proper number of personnel which allows him to do the job in a timely manner. Jorge leaves the job clean by hauling & grinding all debris on site. Also, if your worried about hiring Jorge to do tree trimming because most tree guys just "top" or destroy trees, don't; Jorge and his crew sculpted the tree properly leaving the proper amount of foliage a tree needs to maintain a healthy life. We had two birch trees over 25 feet tall that were dying on the top branches and my husband wanted to just get the tops trimmed off. I called two other tree service companies who gave me quotes AFTER I explained what the trees looked like. When I spoke with Jorge, he was the ONLY one to let me know that there were beetles eating the tree from the top down and "trimming" them would only hurry their process. He let me know if I had called when we fist saw the issue, he could have injected them but even this would only slow them and eventually the trees would need to be cut down. I truly appreciated the honesty and the education about what was happening with our trees. Jorge said we could probably wait to cut them and when it came time to do so, we called Jorge Salinas Tree Service to do so. He and his team did an excellent job at an EXTREMELY reasonable rate. They were done cutting down, chipping branches and trunks, as well as grinding both stumps in an hour. I would HIGHLY recommend Jorge for any tree service. read more

April 2024 update: we booked Jorge again and he never disappoints!! He was able to remove 2 large willow trees that were too close to our home so we could get our patio and walkway redone! They were able to remove the stump and many of the large roots. They even cleaned up the extra leaves in the yard and left it look better than before they started! One of our favorite service companies to use! Older review: Wonderful service!! Jorge came out the same day to provide a fair estimate. We had three large trees in our backyard to trim. We used the Jorge Salinas Tree Service to remove a very old, very large juniper tree whose tree trunk & roots were destroying our brick patio. Jorge's team were not only professional and efficient, but they were able to get the job completed the same day they started. What really impressed us was their expertise and knowledge about arbor work. There were extended branches on the neighbor's property, yet they were able to tie off the cut branches and swing them over to our property so that no damage whatsoever affected ours or the adjoining neighbor's property. They used tarps on the neighboring property to expedite the clean up process. The clean up was excellent on both properties. Jorge and his Crew are truly professionals. Jorge Salinas Jorge Salinas and his crew are awesome. Today they took down an orange tree, 8 25 foot Italian cypresses and 5 hibiscus trees. The crew showed up at 8am and finished at 2pm. They were very polite and worked very hard. Everything was done as I requested. Besides the trees, I asked Jorge if all of the ivy could be removed from the brick wall. He promptly requested his crew to remove it. The clean up was so good that you could not even tell that his crew was here. Jorge supervised the job, although his crew did not need supervision. The 8 crew members worked like a well oiled machine. Jorge was also hands on. He operated the stump grinder machine for 13 trees. His rate was very appropriate for the size of the job. I highly recommend Jorge Salinas Tree Service. I called Jorge, he answered, and was at my house to inspect the job to give me a quote within a few hours. And he showed early, which is high in my book. He gave me a fair quote and I hired him on the spot - he has an honest confidence about myself as a homeowner that I picked up immediately. The next day, Jorge and his crew showed up and completed the job. Keep in mind, the job consisted of removing a palm tree stump, which is no easy task. Using a pick-ax for any length of time is rough work, but Jorge and his crew got that stump out of my midst within an hour. The bonus? They cleaned up beautifully. I hired Jorge Salinas Tree Service to prune five trees, mostly sycamores, and remove one on my commercial property in Ventura. Jorge and his crew were very thorough and did a great job. Their post trimming clean-up was done well. When I inspected the results of their work a few days afterwards I was pleasantly surprised to see that the stump of the tree removed was ground out. I could hardly locate where it had been. This was a pleasant surprise as this aspect hadn't been discussed and wasn't stated on the bid, but according to Jorge is simply his normal operating procedure whenever he removes a tree. I had asked for several tree trimming estimates using the YELP website. Of the 4 that responded, Jorge's was at my house the next day and his estimate was very competitive per what I wanted done. The following week his crew arrived on time and started to work immediately wearing masks and distancing. They were very careful not to damage any other vegetation and were always polite. The tree was trimmed to my satisfaction, in fact it looks better now than it ever did! They cleaned up when the trimming was done and left no telltale signs. The crew arrived and started on time. They worked diligently in a safe and quiet manner. They removed three large eucalyptus trees, ground the stumps and did extensive pruning on two other trees. One of the eucalyptus trees was bending perilously toward my neighbors with the winds and I needed the job done ASAP. They understood my predicament and worked me into the schedule quickly. On Thursday evening a limb from our huge Chinese Elm crashed onto our roof. Jorge was the only one of three tree services that I called that responded. He came out to our house that same evening. He gave us an estimate and said he would return the next day. The next morning Jorge and crew came out and set to work. The work was done swiftly and well. Jorge and his team came out this morning to take out 2 trees. We had a large pine in the front yard and a monster of a pepper tree in the back. 7:30 was the scheduled start time and I received a text at 7:19 that he and his crew were outside and ready to go. 2 hours later both trees were down, the stumps had been shaved down, branches chipped and all the sawdust had been cleaned up!
