Hired Salinas Tree Service and thought they did a great job trimming my trees but not great at other services like repairing sprinkers. I asked him for a quote on repairing the sprinkler valves and thought it was reasonable. He didn't show up when he said he would and weeks later he just shows up at my door early morning and tells me he has been busy with other jobs. He did a poor job at replacing the sprinkler valves as one of the valves is still leaking. I've called him several times to remind him and he keeps telling me he is busy with other jobs and that he will come by and he never shows up. I had a quick response from the owner of Salinas Tree Service. I thought he was a different Salinas Tree Service but apparently not. He had an excellent crew to take down my huge pine tree but he left a big stump that was supposed to be leveled off. It wasn't. It cost $3200 but when I asked him for a receipt he told me he didn't write or speak English and he didn't have any receipts. At one point he wanted to take down a good chunk of my nice fence around the house so he wouldn't have to lug the wood pieces out of my gate (an extra 10 feet or so). I agreed but only if he could put the fence back because it was exactly and he said that would be my job. Very non-compliant and set in his ways. The place was left a mess! In some areas that was 6 inches or so of sawdust. dealing with him was a huge headache. I would never recommend him. his first name starts with an A. and is difficult to pronounce. read more

We just moved to a new house a few weeks ago. We have 2.5 palm trees on our property. I looked out the window this morning and saw a guy hanging from the top of a neighbor's palm tree trimming off the messy looking fronds. Atansio Salinas is easy to work with. He came on time to look at the large job on our half acre, hillside lot. I told him what I wanted done and he walked the entire property twice sizing up the job. Then he told me, "you didn't mention this tree and that overgrowth, but I know you want to have everything done, right?" I said yes. He provided the best bid, lower than 3 others. He's passionate about what he does, in fact I would call him an artist. He has a very critical eye and strives to create beauty with how each tree or shrub is trimmed. He convinced me to keep some of the trees I wanted to remove. He was right again. When he and his crew had finished, they transformed 16 years of overgrowth into a thing of beauty. Mr. Salinas answered the phone at 6:30 p.m., came to look at the trees at 7 a.m., and did the work that afternoon with his very professional crew. We needed someone on short notice on Saturday and Atanasio Salinas was told to trim the branches to a specific point. I've used this company twice to prune our 5 tall queen palms in the back yard. They have done a great job both times and I feel their pricing is fair. We also had him prune two trees in our front yard that were blocking our view. When I told him that I kept having our gardener top the trees so we could see the view from our house he explained that this was the wrong way to go about this.
