But I was still charged for his time! Then they ended up racing through our job and damaged several pieces of furniture. When I pointed out an obvious scratch and chip in the finish on my dining room table, they started making all sorts of excuses about how they didn't do it but it was obvious they did. I had eaten breakfast at that table that morning and it was perfect. They then continued to complain about how they didn't do the damage the rest of the time instead of focusing on the job. As we are moving boxes and unpacking, we have discovered multiple pieces of furniture that have been damaged and marred by their carelessness, including an irreplaceable dresser I inherited from my grandfather. We will never use this service again. We wish we had paid more and gotten real, responsible movers! We have continued to find damage as we unpack. These guys damaged almost every piece of furniture they touched. There are also gouges in our freshly painted walls. Help ignored our emails reporting this. We Look elsewhere!

I tried a lot of things but just couldn't get those annoying stains off. A few days before my move-out, I decided to call MasterCare and schedule their cleaning service. The service was excellent. They sent a 2-person cleaning team, and the total cleaning took about 4 hours. They magically cleaned the stains that I couldn't manage to remove after months of effort (seriously, I don't know how they did it lol) They cleaned inside the windows, oven, closets, floors, ceilings, and even areas like behind the refrigerator. Everything was cleaned very thoroughly. After they finished, they asked me to check the unit to make sure everything looked good. When I checked, the floor was clean like a mirror(literally reflective lmao see photo I attached) (no exaggeration). The communication with the cleaning team was also very smooth. They were friendly, professional, and did an excellent job, honestly better than I expected. Given the quality of work they did, I think the price is very reasonable. (Some random and weird thoughts: I'm a CS student doing research in AI and robotics, and watching them clean actually made me think that it would be pretty hard to design a robot or RL algorithm that could match their level of cleaning expertise lol +1 point to the human team) After the cleaning, my property managers inspected the unit and said it looked great, so it seems like I'll be getting my full deposit back, which I'm very happy about. I also had great communication with Linda, the company's manager. She is efficient, responsive, and professional, and the whole communication process was very smooth. **1 Star** This was…read moremy first visit to Santa Barbara. My sisters and I were visiting from Washington, DC, and we love thrifting, so we decided to stop by this Goodwill. We found a few things and made our purchases. As we were walking back to our car, a homeless gentleman politely approached us and asked if we could help him get a pair of sneakers. He was incredibly respectful, so we went back into the store and bought him not only shoes but also some clothing. What happened next completely overshadowed what had been a positive experience. When we checked out, the cashier (Operator #9088) carelessly tossed the gentleman's clothing into the bag as if it were trash. I politely asked if she could fold the clothes instead of just throwing them in. Her response was shocking. She took the clothing back out of the bag, threw it toward me, and said, **"You fold them then. I don't fold clothes."** Caught off guard, I simply replied, "Ma'am, you can clearly see what we're trying to do here." Her response? **"Yeah, whatever."** I have rarely encountered such unnecessary disrespect from someone working in customer service. We were trying to do something kind for another human being, and instead we were met with rudeness and complete indifference. The only reason I didn't ask for a refund was because the gentleman genuinely needed the items we had purchased for him. Otherwise, I would have walked away from the transaction. If this employee's behavior reflects Goodwill's standards, then there is a serious need for better customer service training. Every customer deserves to be treated with respect, and certainly someone receiving help should not have their belongings handled with such disregard. This experience left a lasting negative impression. Unfortunately, because of how we were treated, I will not be returning to this Goodwill, and it has made me think twice about shopping at Goodwill stores in general. Goodwill, no how about IllWill!

Very deceptive pricing -- expect to pay nearly twice their quoted rate after 4 months…read more I was looking for a storage locker in late April, and saw a small space at Extra Space Storage for $129/month. When I called, they told me that was in fact the rate, BUT they could only rent it to me if they could add a $14/month "insurance" charge, even if I didn't want my stuff insured. So at the beginning, the quoted $129/month was really $143. But I decided that was okay. They asked me to pay the first 4 months in advance, and I agreed. As soon as that 4 months was over, I received the attached rate increase in the mail: My $129/month rate was raised to $209/month BEFORE I could even make my first single monthly payment. Note the code in the lower right corner: "20250424 RATEINCR" -- that is, a Rate Increase that they planned for on April 24th, 2025, the day that I signed up with them. The contract does clearly say that they can change the rates whenever they want, so this isn't illegal, but this code makes it clear that from day one they expected to quickly change the pricing that their website quoted. That $129/month quote that attracted me was, as soon as they could change it, up to $223/month -- over $1100/year more than they advertised. They understand that once you have moved your stuff in, it is a lot of work to move it back out, and they are unethically taking advantage of that. I called, and the woman I talked to explained that 4 months is when they usually raise rates. I explained (politely, but heatedly) that I thought this was an unethical business practice, and that I'd leave reviews saying so. They took my name and called back a couple of hours later to reduce my $80 rent increase to a $40 rent increase. So, if they live up to this phone call (which we will see next month), they've only increased my rent by 31%. So anyone wanting to do business with them, you should budget a significant price increase 4 months after you move in, and you'll need to make a call and threaten to move out if you don't want it to be 60+%. If you do decide that pricing is acceptable (or maybe all locker places play these kind of pricing games), also know that the app is pretty cool and opens the gates and outer doors, but that app is spotty, I believe due to bluetooth/cellphone connectivity being blocked by all the concrete and steel in the location. Also, of the 3 times we visited to load our locker, the elevator was broken one of those times, which was a LOT of stairs to climb while carrying boxes of books.

What An Amazing Find ~ ONE STOP HAULING & COURIER SERVICES, Is Absolutely The Very Best ! My husband and I had a particularly difficult move. We had moved back to California from the east cost, and had to put all of our household items ~ everything ~ in storage for a 3 year period while our house was sold and my husband completed his work project in Silicon Valley. Not only did we have our things in storage, but also the household items of my parents, who sadly had passed on. We were finally able to move to our permanent location and purchase a house. Because of the amount of items we had to move, every, and I mean every moving co. I contacted for an estimate, was amazingly expensive. I found it would be less expensive to move out of state, than to move 2 and 1/2 hours south of the storage units. Thank God I came upon ONE STOP HAULING & COURIER SERVICES, and talked with the amazing Mr. Rick White. I had originally asked Rick if I could hire his moving crew just to load a rented truck that my husband and I would drive, and explained our financial situation,. Rick, (whom I personally think is angel,) took his time and figured out a plan for our move, with his crew doing the entire move ~ my husband and I didn't have to do anything! He lifted a HUGE weight off of our shoulders and took care of Everything! Rick made it very affordable for us, and half of what the other companies with huge overhead were estimating. Rick and his crew worked so EFFICIENTLY and HARD, and were very POLITE, it was amazing. Rick and his crew organized our boxed items and furniture according to what I needed to donate, and what was going to be sold, and what we needed to keep! WHAT OTHER MOVING CO. WOULD DO THAT? NONE THAT I KNOW OF. My husband and I have moved a lot in the 31 years we've been married, and I've worked with many moving companies and have the gray hair to prove it. My word of honor, not one of those other companies were as EFFICIENT, TOOK SUCH CARE, AND WERE AS POLITE, AS RICK AND HIS CREW AT ONE STOP HAULING & COURIER SERVICES. I have a grand piano that is over 100 years old, and is extremely heavy. Other movers were charging a lot extra to move it, and a few suggested a piano mover. But Rick and his crew moved the piano without one problem. The bottom line is, that Rick treats each ~ and I mean each ~ client as if they are family ~ he truly cares that much. One Stop helped create a three-step move for us! From Goleta and Santa Barbara where they picked up household items (furniture plus 180 boxes) from one house and stored them in a "holding tank," then another day picked up a second household of furniture and another 80 boxes and stored them at the same "holding tank," THEN loaded the combined households' goods and delivered everything on time to San Francisco! This is the second time we have used One Stop for moving household goods from SB to LA and the other direction, this time with the addition of having One Stop also pack our goods for longterm storage. If you want a fair price, with a trustworthy, professional organization this is the man to call. I have used him twice, the first time for a small move of some appliances and because of his positive, courteous and professional attitude I called him for a long distance move. Rick's professionalism guided us through an easy transition. With the help of some RIGHETTI FOOTBALL muscle, we were in at 9 am and done moving by 3pm.
