Gabriel and his team at Ruiz Masonry Concrete poured a perfect stamped 75 foot walkway and an additional sidewalk with a ramp to the shed at my home that is beautiful beyond my imagination! In addition, they rerouted my drains as to not interfer with the concrete work. Their craftsmanship is spot on... Structure, Designing, Framing, Pouring, Sloping, Leveling, Stamping, Scoring. I have nothing but praise for this wonderful family business. We had already obtained several estimates for a concrete slab and steps for a swim spa, as well as a patio repair, but the others were not very responsive to questions. Gabriel was the opposite: he got back to me with my multiple questions almost immediately. When he came by for the estimate he was clearly very well-informed, as well as patient and friendly. We decided on Ruiz quickly and were happy we did. The guys were prompt, efficient, and professional. They did a beautiful job and I recommend them unequivocally. read more

Gabriel and his team were incredible! We are so happy with the final product. He knew exactly what to do and how to make it look amazing. He made sure it would drain properly and we just had a big rain and his plan worked perfectly! No puddles whatsoever! Another huge plus was how clean him and his team were. The finished product was truly done and no need to have a landscaper come clean it up. I am very impressed and would only hire him for our future concrete needs! read more

Gabriel and Gabriel Senior were absolutely wonderful! Gabriel came and gave an estimate after we obtained multiple estimates from various companies. G & R were not quite the cheapest but certainly not the most expensive but we had a good feeling about the quality of their work and reviews. When you have an electrical problem you don't hire a plumber so when we wanted extensive pavers and concrete work we felt it was important to hire licensed concrete contractors like Gabriel and his family who were all very polite, experienced and perfectionist to do our driveway pavers, gate columns, retaining wall as well as our rear patio pavers. They took their time to insure a quality installation and when we found an area that was a bit low they insisted on having the crew come back and make it right. In fact they corrected things that we didn't even notice with the crew. They built our retaining wall to code, filled the cells and water proofed the backside. They were so good we even had them stucco our large garden wall, two coats scratch coat and finished color coat. The finished product was absolutely beautiful and the designs were exactly what I had requested. I highly recommend G. R. concrete and pavers for any concrete job, stucco, pavers and the like. A good hearted family with exceptional work! read more

I had a really great experience from start to finish working with Ruiz Masonry & Concrete. Gabriel Ruiz and his crew took on a very large concrete job at our home that was literally on all sides of the house. The job involved extensive demo of existing concrete and brick work all around the home. They laid new concrete to form multiple sidewalks, front entry way landing, 2 patio areas, a full side yard, and multiple drains were placed. Furthermore, we have an HOA that required color matching existing cement at the front of the home. We were fortunate in that we found an excellent match in color. I actually had another quote that came in a little lower than Ruiz Masonry & Concrete, but I ended up going with Gabriel based off of my interactions with him, as well as their strong online reviews and lots of photos that were posted online. I couldn't be happier with my decision. Gabriel stuck to the time frame and cost as laid out in his initial quote. He was there everyday, regularly working hard with his team to get the job done. The work they did was excellent, please see the photos that I posted below. I highly recommend working with this business for any concrete work that you might need done. Gabriel and his team are hard working, professional, and highly skilled. Thanks for a job well done. read more

From start to finish, Gabriel and his team are excellent! I've hired them twice. First to repair my retaining wall and second to install steps and build a concrete pad. Just finished extending our patio. Existing patio was exposed aggregate rimmed with brick. I really wanted to continue that look. Other contractors tried to talk me into other things, I think for their own convenience. Gilbert listened to what I wanted and didn't try to talk me out of it, instead, he accommodated what I wanted. Also the pricing was very good. I am happy with the finished job. They were fast and he was also responsive to texts. Crew was good too. Would recommend them and use them again. read more

We could not be happier with this company! Gabriel and crew promised and delivered a beautiful job for a very reasonable price. The huge crack in our retaining wall repaired and added height is great. The repairs to the pavers are unbelievable, you cannot tell they were ever pulled up and replaced! We had repairs done to corner section of our porch sinking and they re did the footings, and now it's back level. They power washed all the hardscape, re-sanded and sealed. Professional from our initial meeting and throughout the job. Highly recommend Gabriel/GR Concrete - they know their business and do it very well. Thank you, gentlemen! read more

I went back and forth on the scope of what I wanted done and it took me a few weeks to finally decide. Gabriel re-estimated each change and met with me on separate occasions. He knew I wanted to get it "just right" and I appreciated that he didn't push for a one size all type of solution. In the end, the concrete and block wall work was done exactly as we wanted and was on time and budget. read more

We had been looking for someone to do our concrete for a few weeks when I came across G.R concrete on Yelp. I put in a request for a call back and got one right away. He was even early, huge bonus points with me. We would highly recommend Gabriel and his team! read more

Absolutely the best concrete contractor one can get. In a matter of 3 and half days Gabriel and crew built us 2 beautiful, solid retaining walls totaling 93 feet and a set of wide stairs to go from my pool garden to the back woodlands. Gabriel had come multiple times to discuss choice of material, mechanics and to provide accurate quotes and construction time. He and his wonderful family of delightful, hard working, professional craftsmen completed the project in the highest quality on time. It is such a joy to look at these walls and know there are, still, good contractors like Gabriel Ruiz who takes pride in his work and does it in such high standard with respect, honor and great ethics. read more

My mom's driveway in Camarillo was buckled by the roots of a big tree, and became a huge safety hazard. I got quotes from several people and asked neighbors what they had spent on similar projects (someone with a similar house spent an insane amount of money on pavers) and Gabriel beat them all. He was also super patient with the process as it takes time for my mom to pull the trigger on things. Anyways, once we were ready to go to work, I was blown away by how quickly and cleanly the demo of the old driveway went, and then amazed by the speed and skill of his crew as they poured and formed the new driveway. It looks great and I am sure it will last beyond my lifetime! We also had a bit of a snag with payment--long story involving my trying to pay someone on my mom's behalf when her bank's fraud department was trying to protect her from anything nefarious--but Gabriel was patient and understanding as we got it worked out. Highly recommend! read more

Gabriel and his crew showed up on time, worked hard to get the job done. Did excellent brickwork and cleaned up as if they were never here. Very professional and courteous. Gabriel Ruiz recently installed a backyard patio and accompanying walkways at my residence. He stamped the concrete, made a 1' smooth border around the perimeter, and the created diagonal expansion joints inside the border to create the illusion of having five foot squares set on a diagonal. Not an easy job, but he pulled it off with perfection. Perhaps most impressive was his attention to detail and unwillingness to cut corners. I had two other contractors tell me I did not need drains. Gabriel took one look at the project site and explained that I needed three drains. He then explained that he could not put them in the center of the patio due to the height of the existing concrete that surrounded the patio area. He really knows his craft, works hard, shows up on time, and has competitive pricing. I highly recommend them for your next project. read more
