We have ordered 4-5 of Marcos family to-go meals and have been blown away every time. It is so cool to enjoy a multi course meal as a family and get to try different things with interesting fresh ingredients. The vegetarian dinners are amazing - we are not vegetarians but love to try the veggie-focused dinners. Love love LOVE the meatloaf dinner! The kids are begging to have this one again. And we did the wine dinner tonight. Everything was delish but I will be dreaming about the stuffed olives! I hope they offer these when they can reopen full time! And the fruit tart dessert came with a beautiful array of fancy Christmas cookies, including an amazing oatmeal chocolate chip with tons of coconut! Can't wait to experience Marcos as the chef intended, but until then they are knocking it out of the park with the family meals!!! read more

The place is small and reservations can be hard to get. We booked early and arrived on time. The servers are prompt and friendly. We had a large group and tried most things on the menu. Went here for date night and it was fantastic. It was a random Thursday night, and we had the place to ourselves other than one older couple. Tried out the menu and enjoyed everything but the duck. Was just too chewy for me, but I like my duck more well done than most people. To top it off, Marco was great and came out to talk with both tables which was a nice touch. read more

Had the distinct pleasure of being a guest at Marco's and part of a large party at the opening of phase 4 of the pandemic. We all felt completely comfortable regarding any Covid issues. The service and food were exceptional. We all loved the mixed drinks they were very creative and tasty. From appetizers to the main course everything tasted phenomenal. Everything was so good it is hard to single out one dish. Love the burrata, the grilled shrimp, and the filet were to die for. The service could not have been better. We had one of Marcos "To-Go Dinners" this past Sunday. It was so good it might as well have come straight from Marcos Kitchen to our table. The chicken vegetable soup was amazing, the flavors in the braised beef incredible! Don't even get me started on the FRESH BREAD that came with the meal, and there was no doubt it was made that day. Yesterday we also stopped by right at noon for a produce bag Marco was offering for just $10. We loved that we didn't have to go to the grocery store and get produce that 2 dozen other people had already hovered over. It makes us feel much safer during these hard times. I hosted a baby shower at Marco's Kitchen and can't rave enough how fabulous this event was! Marco went above and beyond my expectations to make sure this was a memorable experience. He designed a special menu and the appetizers and food were delicious. He also created a unique cocktail for this shower and every glass had an orchid on it. I live in Florida and Marco assured me that I would have nothing to worry about. He took care of everything. The table settings were gorgeous and the centerpieces he designed were beautifu! Very disappointed on a Saturday evening with Marco's Kitchen. We receive a wonderful dinner gift card and tried calling to order a nice dinner. Nobody answered the phone with a message to order online for pick up. Proceeded to the website with no option for ordering. Decided to go in person to order but their doors were locked and the person inside the restaurant saw us at the door & we were just ignored. The wonderful folks next door at Nicksons Eatery welcomed us in with a nice dinner. read more

Another excellent meal with Chef Marco! His ability to make you feel welcomed and well fed with delicious recipes from around the world is amazing! He prepared many fresh courses with the sautéd shrimp, grilled romaine salad and gnocchi to die for! The rest of the corses were great, too, but I was pretty satiated by the time the tender chicken and vegetables arrived. I have eaten Chef Marco's fine food for many years and you can always count on his food to be delicious and consistent while being serving by a caring and careful staff. I was so happy to come here tonight. We had a party of 6 and all of us were ecstatic over the food and service!! Crab cakes, Gorgonzola fresh figs and black truffle bruschetta was our starters -all delicious. They menu was basically all specials and everything was phenomenal. Started out with wine but their cocktails looked amazing. Had the octopus which was so tender and delishious. Moved on to the cognac soup which was really tasty. For our meal me and my wife had the filet mignon and duck. The filet was cooked perfect and the sauce was very good. The roasted potatoes had so much flavor. The duck was cooked medium rare (as recommended) so it was slightly pink and really good especially the sauce it was served with but If your expecting fried duck you may be disappointed. Basically it's similar to a rare steak in consistency but very flavorful. For dessert we had the creme brûlée which was absolutely amazing, slightly sweet and a little tart. Keep up the excellent food chef Marco! I plan to come back for more and I hope the menu rotates for the seasons! read more

This is the first review I have posted online for anything. I am doing so, because of my experience at Marco's. My wife and I decided to try something new at the last minute, and we were so glad we did. We got there early and we were lucky enough to have Marco himself waiting on us at the bar. He could not have been more helpful or provided better service along with his team. Atmosphere was great, a modern version of the 30's. Drink menu was excellent, containing a handful of unique drinks I haven't tried. Appetizer and main menu also had a wide variety of unique dishes from around the world... there is nothing better than going to a place where everybody orders something different and everyone's tastes great, especially when some of the dishes are fairly unique. For those of you with a sweet tooth who also enjoy a good cocktail, I recommend the PB&J Manhattan with the chocolate creme brûlée for dessert. Thank you Marco for your great atmosphere, great menu, great music, great service, great food and overall great experience. Marco opened just before covid hit - please make sure you try this place so it stays open... if there is anyplace that deserves stimulus relief, Marco's Kitchen is a perfect example of why we need it. read more

Very good! Nice atmosphere and not very big. I would definitely call for a reservation if planning on going. A good place to enjoy a dinner for two or with a couple of friends. Staff was very kind and accommodating. We had the bruschetta for an app, and soup, then moved on to the veal osobuco and pork tenderloin for our entree. Chocolate espresso creme brulee and carrot cake for dessert. All sooo good. Would happily order it all again! If you couldn't tell from the menu this is not the kind of place you go for a quick bite. It did take us about 2.5 hours from start to finish. Will definitely try them out again! read more

Lovely dinner @ Marco's Kitchen. Great attention to detail. Best Shrimp appetizer (will be eating this again and again!) Great octopus. The chicken dish was wonderful and the veggies that accompanied were PERFECTLY cooked. If I had one constructive piece to give, it would be to serve a bread more befitting of this fine cuisine. An organic crusty ciabatta comes to mind. However, the butter served with the bread was the best! Great quality butter with salt flakes...can't get any better. Will be back very soon. This is a great, local, getaway spot that takes care to prepare a perfect, tasty, unique, meal and pamper its patrons. My wife and I went for dinner. The restaurant was immaculately clean. The waitstaff was helpful and aims to give you what you want. My wife mentioned that I am a vegan (and most of the items on the menu were not). Marco came out of the kitchen with a friendly smile and spoke to us personally and made us feel right at home. He asked me about my diet, what I liked, and what I wanted. I told him to surprise me, and he did, with a wonderful, tasty, healthy, plate, covered in toasted couscous, and loaded with all sorts of tiny vegetable delights, including bits of perfectly cooked sweet potato, corn, green beans, mushroom, onion, asparagus and pepper. I was quite pleased. The point is that Marco and his staff want to make you happy and will go out of their way to make sure you have the dining experience that you are looking for. The homemade bread (baked in the restaurant every day) was warm, superb and addictive. My wife ordered 2 plates: 1) a Shrimp and Artichoke Sautee cooked in butter, garlic and white wine and 2) Spicy chorizo stuffed dates with a glass of Sauvignon Blanc. She was very happy and every tasty morsel was consumed. Highly recommended. Special. read more

Went to Marco's Kitchen last night to celebrate our anniversary and we were pleasantly surprise by how much we enjoyed our experience. The service was exceptional, very attentive without be overbearing and their recommendations were spot on. Both my husband and I were torn between the Mahi Mahi and the stuffed Beef Tenderloin. They split both entrees in half and served them as two separate courses. The food and drinks were so good. We've ordered 'to go' from Marco's since they opened last year (and the food has always been top notch!) and last night was our first time eating in the restaurant. It was a wonderful experience! Marco was up front when we walked in, and he also came by our table later on to see how we liked everything - i just love when a Chef/Owner is present and visible! OK, now for the food - it was DELICIOUS. Rather than ordering entrees my husband and I shared apps (oysters, grilled squid, crab cake, bruschetta and scallops). The black truffle bruschetta and the bacon wrapped scallops were far and away the stars of our meal - i'm still salivating over both of these dishes! I would have licked the plates if i could have. Marco's bread is baked fresh daily in house, and is the perfect compliment to the food (or, is great on its own). Portion sizes were good (just as in 'to go' meals) and the wine and cocktails list was robust. Our servers were attentive, and we enjoyed the elegant white-tablecloth atmosphere of the restaurant. Wow. My 2 girlfriends and I were looking for somewhere to have a few glasses of wine, and we called Marco's on a Saturday night and asked if we could sit at the bar. They were fully booked for a tasting menu dinner, but said they could accommodate us. It was just fantastic. Marco himself was behind the bar and let us taste a few of the wines included in the fixed menu before we picked one. Then he even brought us a few of the plates to try. We had just eaten dinner, so I was sure I couldn't eat anymore, but everything was so delicious we ate every bite. He had a mushroom polenta appetizer that was like nothing I've ever had before. Everything was just delicious, including the wine. And it's such a great concept with an ever changing menu. We all signed up for his email list so we can hear about the new menus that come up each week. And the atmosphere was great as well. We will definitely be back! read more

1St indoor dining spot for me during covid. Newly opened fine dining restaurant that rivals any James Beard. restaurant I've tried in Chicago. Elegant decor, our server which I can't recall her name, was friendly, attentive and knowledgeable with great recommendations, and the food was tremendous. Started out with a perfectly made Old Fashioned and a tasty amuse Bouche (forgot what the heck it was). We ordered three appetizers: Bacon wrapped dates, Scallops and Ceviche. All were incredible. If I was forced to pick only one, I'd go with the dates; they were perfect. My main course was the lamb chops which were sooooo flavorful. They were cooked to perfection, medium rare. One friend also had the lamb and he felt the exact same way. Our other friend had the Halibut and he said it was delicious. To top off the dinner we had an assortment of desserts and it was friggn heaven. Tiramisu, macaroons and flan. Can't say enough about this standout restaurant. We'll be back, sooner rather than later, and we came from the city which we rarely make special trips to the suburbs for dinner. Forgot to mention the Owner stopped by the table to see how we were doing. Really nice guy and you can tell he has passion for food and wine. We were VERY surprised to see a wine on the menu from a very small vineyard in Northern CA and was reasonably priced so that rounded out the perfect dinner. You won't be sorry, give it a go!
