Fantastic service, quaint, adorable restaurant, interior centrally, located outside of Chicago. Excellent food.

I really enjoyed the decor, the service and the food. This was my second time being there. I had stuffed mushrooms, prosciutto wrapped dates and a sandwich for lunch with my son.

    Table and friends.... With Sangria

Went here for Valentine's Day, I usually come to Thai restaurant at least 3 to 4 times a year and the restaurant use to be consistent, the taste were always the same. EXCEPT today. The food was quite bland, service was okay, we had a 530 reservation and stayed until 745pm but as soon as we closed the tab were immediately ushered out. Granted it was Valentine's Day but there was about 8 other tables open. As we left the restaurant we spoke to the daughter of the now RETIRED owners, they have sold the restaurant to a non Spanish company. Now it makes sense on why the restaurant's taste were off par. The new company doesn't have an authentic Spanish chef, where as the ownership prior was from Spain and the owner actually was the chef. I gave it a 3 star due to the friendly waiter and that the daughter of the previous owner was there. We spent $600.00 and I'll try it one more time in the future to see if it remains the same. Check it out for yourselves. Let me know if you notice the difference in tastes too. I would gladly pay for authenticity, but not for non authenticity. Shame on you for not stating that your Under new ownership!

So old school and yet so good. Happy Hour in the bar was perfection. Sangria flights, small bites, yummy dessert and great service

It's a large restaurant with closed patio. And lots of tables to entertain the guests. We had grapefruit cocktail and the sangria. Clean and service was nice. We had paella, dates and bacon and shrimp in some butter sauce and potatoes bravas. Everything was great, we were looking forward to dessert but we were too full. In reply to the owner's question- we were hoping for more flavorful paella. We had great paella in Spain and potato bravas but the restaurant didn't quite make it the way we expected. The rice was baked but not crunchy on the side. The potatoes seemed more saucy than we would like it unlike our trip. That is the reason I give this restaurant a 3 stars.

What a cozy little restaurant with so much attention to detail on interior decor. There's plenty of seating indoor and outdoor. Waiters/waitresses are super friendly and helpful. All of the food was excellent and extremely delicious, cooked to perfection. My recommended dishes: Bacon wrapped dates: Your typical sweet baked dates wrapped in bacon but with a unique creamy tomato sauce that takes it to the next level! Free tuna salad on bread: Dont actually know what this is but it was on the house and I enjoyed this very much. It was light, flavorful, and so refreshing. Gambas A La Pancha: Extremely soft and juicy shrimp with much roasted garlic in lemon garlic Platanos con Helado: Ugh so good! Sauteed banana thats fragrant and soft, drizzled in caramel served with a side of vanilla ice cream. In love with this dessert, would come back for it. Overall had a wonderful experience and 10/10 would come again and recommend!

Having been to COA before, my brother and I suggested it which worked out even better than expected! First the service was top notch from beginning to end. Our server was Ana, who was kind, super attentive, and made some excellent recommendations that was delicious. The food is exquisite in and of itself. We ordered several hot tapas in addition to a mixed paella and three skirt steak tacos. A couple of the tapas only had three servings and seeing as how we had 4 in the party, she upped the amount to 4. Now that's called dedication. During the course of the night, one of the member's of my party had a slight accident. Well management (Carlos and Kim) was on top of it from the get go and GRACIOUSLY took care of us throughout the night, making sure our service was OK. Hospitality like this is rare because you don't see many members of management walking table to table to make sure their guests are having a good experience. And Carlos did that throughout the night. Come for the food, stay for the experience. You won't be disappointed!

The bread service was fantastic. The tomato focaccia and the baguette were both excellent and I had to remind myself not to fill up on it before the main meal! LOL! We started with the calamari which was very well seasoned and clearly not the typical frozen version you often see from foodservice distributors. It tasted fresh, was crispy, and well prepared. For dinner I ordered the margherita pizza which was simple and delicious. I ended up ordering a second one to-go for my partner who couldn't make it to dinner. He also loved it - even after it sat for ~30 min or so while we chatted more, then drove home to the Maywood area. I would imagine their delivery is pretty good based on that! My mom had the rigatoni vodka with added crumbled Italian sausage which she loved, and my dad ordered the Marcelino. He loved the generous amount of seafood and how well seasoned it was. My parents are big wine drinkers and my dad was especially impressed with the wine list and the selection available. Oscar was an incredible server!! He struck the perfect balance of being attentive while still letting us enjoy a relaxed, unhurried evening. The support staff and food runners were also fantastic and very friendly, making the entire service experience feel polished! I also loved the kitchen was more open which gives you confidence in the quality and care that goes into the food. We sat out on their covered patio area which super cute and ordered a sangria pitcher to share. Great sangria! We got a bunch to share of course but the first thing was the olives (YUM) and the brussel sprout salad which was surprisingly so yummy! We also tried croquetas which were great, the chicken and chorizo skewers, patatas bravas, the tortilla (which I have had authentic one and this one is great) and same goes for the pulpo which was so good. I really don't think we went wrong with anything we ordered even the chickpea stew was great. My take on the paella is get the seafood one if you can. I didn't tried but we had to get the chicken one because a lot of our table doesn't eat seafood and it was okay to me! Huge serving though so save room post the tapas! And of course we have to get the dessert so we had the cheesecake the chocolate cake and both were fab. Such a cutie place and I will be thinking about these tapas for a while!

It's a beautifully converted old mansion with manicured outdoor spaces and an elegant interior. The white tablecloth atmosphere delivers on the promise of a special night out. That said, if you're coming expecting a transportive Spanish dining experience, temper those expectations. A few decorative plates on the walls aside, the space reads more traditional Southern manor than Iberian escape. Charming, yes. Spanish, not really. Now the food, because that's where things get interesting. The cream of rice soup was a genuine highlight. Buttery, brothy, deeply comforting. The kind of dish that makes you lean in after the first spoonful. The baguette served alongside it though? Stale. Sliced too far in advance and the butter arrived ice cold, straight from the fridge. At $100 plus per person, that is a detail that matters. The Queso con Pacanas had beautiful individual components but suffered from what became a recurring theme of the night: strong flavors competing rather than collaborating. The pungent cheese steamrolled everything else on the plate. The wine soaked pears showed up again later on the Chuleta de Cerdo, and while the idea is lovely, serving a pear half unsliced in a fine dining context means you're asking the guest to do compositional work that the kitchen should have already done. The Jamón Iberico is the most expensive item on the menu and the meat itself is worth every penny. Nutty, buttery, exceptional on its own. But the parmesan blanketing the flatbread crisps overpowered it completely, and a lone raw garlic clove sitting on the plate with no instruction is not fine dining. Our server was sweet enough to explain you're meant to rub it on the cracker yourself, and she handled it with grace, but that explanation should not have been necessary. The Patatas Bravas were well seasoned with a solid aioli but landed mushy rather than crispy. A miss. The Gambas a la Plancha was the clearest win of the evening and not by coincidence. It was the simplest dish. Well seasoned shrimp, bright lemon butter, nothing fighting for attention. Sometimes restraint is the whole answer. The Chuleta de Cerdo had a beautifully cooked, smoky and peppery pork chop and a mushroom sauce that genuinely complemented it. But then the cinnamon heavy root vegetable puree pulled the whole plate in a completely different direction. Our server was genuinely wonderful, funny and warm and attentive even while training a new hire. She was the clearest bright spot of the service experience and the one thing we left talking about fondly. We left the rest of the meal a little baffled. The head chef hails from Valencia, and we were told that influence shows in the food. Maybe it does and our palates just weren't reading it. But between the confused flavor profiles, the inconsistent execution, and a cuisine identity that felt more scattered than intentional, we walked out laughing and scratching our heads more than satisfied. Beautiful place. Lovely server. The food just never quite found itself.
