Front of bar.

Marco's is one of my favorite bars in the area! The bartenders are amazing and here to serve you but also know you on a personal level. Every single one of them has tried to get to know me as an individual and not just ring up my drinks. The drinks are wonderful and cheap, the music is fantastic, and the energy of the patrons is exactly what I look for in a great dive bar. You should check this place out whether you're new to the area, an established resident, or even visiting for a moment. I guarantee you will have a fun time and make memories with the staff and clientele.

It's a pleasant looking space with a mild environment inside. It didn't really leave a positive or a negative impression on me. Based on some reviews I read the vibe seems to depend heavily on which bartender is working that night. On this night I was slightly turned off by the guy with his medium sized dog occupying a seat at the bar. I'm sure some people will find it cute...I'm not one of those people, however. The tap options for beer were nothing to write home about and the liquor selection amassed behind the bar didn't stand out to me. Nevertheless, it's a nice interior with ample space minus the area passing the bar when people want to sit and talk to their friends in a group at the bar and just behind the bar area making it awkward to walk pass them if you're looking to get to the bathroom etc. There is ample seating space up front that reminiscent to a slightly old world vibe. It's an Ok place but I'm in no rush to get back here though I wouldn't cancel it out either.

Add this to your "to do" list! We stumbled upon this hidden gem and were pleasantly surprised. Tom, the owner, was pouring the drinks generously in this dimly lit and hip corner bar. Shot and a beer specials for $6, a basketball hoop in the open air patio and a well curated jukebox.

Another great new bar opening in Bushwick - homely feel, decent & well-priced drink selection. Similar to but quieter than Birdy's, as it works to establish itself. Cool outdoor area ready for the Summer. I'll be back!

They had a bunch of collabs with other breweries so their taps were filled with wonderful selection of cool beers. I got here when it opened grabbed a seat at the bar. I didn't catch her name but the bartender was super nice and we chatted a bit. This bar has two tvs in the bar area and some tables in the back. It also has an outdoor area which I did not get to check out unfortunately. The only downside is, is that there is no food served here. But the upside is that you can get free Pop-corn! If you have not been here before, I would suggest stopping by. By the way whoever does their social media is super great!

But the reason I keep coming back - the sheer selection of incredible and unique beers (and reasonably priced for that manner!). Everything from the desthil spicy sour pickle beer to many variations to le chouffe, you can't go wrong! Oh and they have free popcorn as well... tough to pass up! Service has always been friendly and knowledgeable about the beers. I can already see myself back there for the next time I'm craving some delicious craft beer!

Definitely worth another trip. I got the Cajun club (w/o tomatoes) sandwich and the frozen margarita. Both were soooo good! The place might be small but it's big on the "home away from home"/chill atmosphere!

I chose this place because I had visited a few times in the past and expected a positive environment. While there, I ran into an old friend who was accompanying individuals with special needs. They informed us about the R&B karaoke event, and we attempted to participate respectfully and supportively. Unfortunately, after participating, the DJ became rude and dismissive. My friends decided not to continue because each time they attempted to request a song, the DJ was unkind and impatient, seemingly unaware--or unconcerned--that they were individuals with special needs. The situation escalated when I attempted to calmly address the disrespect. Instead of listening, the bartender repeatedly accused me of being drunk simply because I was defending myself after a rude comment. I was not intoxicated; I was advocating for respectful treatment. Even the DJ's own companion appeared visibly shocked by the comment made toward me, as if anticipating a reaction. I remained composed and professional despite being deeply upset. What disappointed me most was the staff's decision to defend the DJ's behavior rather than acknowledge how inappropriate and disrespectful the interaction was. This reflects poorly on how this establishment treats people--especially those who deserve patience, understanding, and dignity. I came expecting an enjoyable brunch experience and left feeling ashamed for having trusted this place. It is clear that the venue prioritizes protecting mediocre DJs with minimal local popularity over treating customers with basic respect. Poor organization, lack of proper event management, and unprofessional staff behavior made this experience unacceptable. I have visited many establishments and have never felt so disrespected. I will not be returning.

The venue is pretty spacious they have a back dining area, a big bar when you enter and a full bar upstairs. There's a ton of televisions if you are watching sports as well. They have a pretty deep beer menu which I loved. The food menu is Irish influenced bar bites. We had the wings which were nice and crispy. The center of attention was the waffle fries nachos. You can't go wrong with a potato vehicle to fresh toppings. All and all great fun spot for sports and gatherings. Also this is a melting pot. Various ages, groups, backgrounds, saw a few families. All are welcome. One flaw is St. Patty it appeared that our waiter who was superb was the only one working so it was a bit of chase to close out.

In general, I like the mellow / peaceful vibes of outer borough NYC Irish pubs at lunchtime. McMahon's did not disappoint. Solid buffalo chicken wings & good burger. I am also post fries (I will try one or two of yours, but I don't need an order of fries for myself.), so can't comment on the fries. They also make a mean Caesar salad. The Caesar & buffalo wings are pretty much my metric for all Irish pubs. McMahon's would def be in the upper 50th percentile. There are a bunch of negative reviews for this spot on here for when they are very busy, on Barclays Center game nights and / or weekends. I feel like, if you read between the lines, it's people coming in groups when it's busy acting entitled. The staff at lunch has been nothing but courteous, w/ excellent service. Also, very clean inside, & food was good quality / fresh ingredients. There are almost no Irish pubs in this area open for lunch anymore at all - thank goodness this is a good one!
