Went for my birthday and wedding anniversary! Welcomed with Happy Birthday and Happy Anniversary at the door. Professional bar tender made excellent drinks. Dinner was 10/10! Six large shrimp served on ice and fresh shaved horseradish. Wife had twin lobster tails and I had a Wagyu New York strip . The chef came out and checked on us several times. Items that were good but not as much as the above: espresso martini tap, foie gras bombe, guava end bite, ricotta beginning bite, wagyu bite, asparagus, gratin, truffle mac n cheese Item we would NEVER order again: prime beef tartare. It was terrible. It tasted like we were eating spoonfuls of horseradish and mustard. Couldn't taste anything else except for that. We ended up sending it back and getting the foie gras which was sweet and savory with fried toast points, which was MUCH better than the tartare. All other food was wonderfully cooked and seasoned. Where do I even start? Marbled & Fin delivered one of the most memorable dining experiences we've had in Charleston. So much so that we came back for brunch the very next morning before hitting the road back to Atlanta. Dinner started with the dressed oysters and I'm still thinking about them. Grape and caviar on an oyster? Absolute genius. Light, briny, luxurious - they set the tone perfectly. The milk bread that followed was pillowy and buttery, the kind you have to resist devouring before your entrée arrives. For mains, I had the salmon and my partner had the grouper. Both were phenomenal. The salmon was perfectly seared with a gorgeous crust and sat in a dreamy herb cream sauce dotted with roe. The grouper was equally impressive, plated with confidence and cooked beautifully. The creamed spinach on the side was rich and satisfying without being heavy. The Eat, Slay, Love cocktail was a spiced (not spicy!) surprise: warm, complex, and completely unique. Brunch the next day? Just as impressive. We doubled down on the dressed oysters because there was no way we were leaving without them again. He had the shaved ham Benedict and I had the fish sandwich. Both were excellent. Oh. My. Goodness. Marbled and Fin has secured a spot as one of my top CHS restaurants! A friend and I decided to treat ourselves to a girls dinner since she's out of state. Reservations were at 515 and we arrived about a half hour early. The hostess was an absolute doll. So sweet, personable, and helpful. She let us know they would seat us closer to our designated time but to help ourselves to a seat at the bar. Started with delicious cocktails with fun innuendos. Very strong. Lovely. The hostess came back later and escorted us to our seats - and the fun dinner service began. You receive a complimentary welcome cocktail table side - tonight was a peach gimlet. No notes! We decided to try a little of everything (thank you to our amazing waiter- he let us know serving sizes and suggesting splitting some appetizers). We had the scallops, Caesar and milk bread. I don't think there was a single morsel left on those plates. For dinner we had the wet aged ribeye with the bone marrow & salmon. Sides: steak fries, lobster Mac and cheese, creamed spinach, and asparagus. The steak fries were such a stand out. Wow. never would have thought but incredible! Dessert had to be the affogato & crème brulee. Everything was Devine. What an incredible restaurant! After living in Charleston for over two years, I can't believe this was my first time. I highly recommend this for birthdays, anniversaries, friends, or family in town, etc. We split the wedge salad, and I am thankful we did because it is MASSIVE. I can be picky with my wedge salads, and this was by far one of the best I've ever had. We saw the table next to us enjoying the Broiled Oysters & Bone Marrow, and I'm so glad that we ordered it. *Brunch Review* Mimosa Tower. That is all. But seriously - if you're looking for a delicious brunch in the downtown area look no further than Marbled & Fin. Friends and I stopped in recently to celebrate my birthday. From the moment we walked through the door, the entire experience was fantastic. The food was delicious, the service superb, and the mimosa cocktail tower (which was the entire reason I wanted to dine here) was everything I wanted it to be for our table. As an added plus, they do have a small free parking lot adjacent to the restaurant but just make sure you dont park in one of the designated spots for the hotel it shares the parking lot with. In addition to the tower, a few of the standout brunch items we enjoyed were the: - tuna tartare - steak and eggs - french toast - truffle mac & cheese - creme brulee The tartare and mac & cheese were definitely table favorites that had us all fighting over the last few bites. If you're looking for a Charleston restaurant for special occasions this is it. Total bill for two was $600 including tip. But we ordered a decent amount. Got all three lux bites which were delicious and tiny. The bone marrow and roasted oysters were a show stopper. GENEROUS amount of hot bone marrow and you get a basket of charred bread to make open faced oyster bone marrow toast. Insane. Beef carpaccio was very nice. Good size. We had the Australian Wagyu filet mignon rare which was super tender. And the Australian Wagyu rib eye rare which was delicious though had a decent amount of inedible fat. But that's a ribeye for ya. No room for dessert but they did give us chocolates. Also gave us free champagne for my birthday which I do beleive was champagne and not prosecco. Great spot but be ready to spend it all. read more

We later returned for that special occasion dinner to celebrate our anniversary and the service was fantastic, on point, and special. We sat at the circular seats by the bar, were greeted with a special welcome note and house cocktail which was great. Their cocktail menu has something for everyone, but I had to order my favorite cocktail, the Last Word. Their dinner menu is stunning with luxury bites, raw bar items, starters & salads, sides, and then their fine selection of red meats and seafood entrees. We had starters of hamachi crudo, broiled oysters & bone marrow, and caesar salad. The hamichi was fresh and amazing, while the oysters & bone marrow had a richness that was impressive. Prime steak was juicy and flavorful, recommended at medium temperature due to the lean cut of meat. I'm a ribeye type of girl, but I was very satisfied with the prime steak. They offer a table side roasted garlic butter and the steak comes with an Au poivre that was super tasty. Eggs were perfectly cooked the way I requested. Hash brown is a patty, similar to the golden arch restaurant (haha), but less greasy and tastes like real potatoes. Oysters on the half shell were 10/10! Absolutely loved everything we ordered. The bone marrow and baked oysters were the star of the show followed by the Australian Wagu. Also enjoyed the hamachi crudo. We got the dressed oysters but unless you like sweet oysters I would still with the regular. As always the wine list pairs perfectly with everything always. The most important thing to say about M&F is that - by far - it's the most expensive meal in my life. I have had fine/luxury dining all over the world. This was more expensive than any of them (excluding alcohol, I have been at places that had $2k bottles of wine but a steak was $50). So inline with my usual reviews... "price sets expectations". These were going to be crazy high expectations. The good news is, they were more than met. Staff was absolutely lovely from top to bottom. Like, say, Hall's, they took the approach of having an army of people serving with my server being their sergeant. Christian did a great job. Really loved his service! Started with the hot seafood tower (half sized), which was rather deconstructed. The highlight here is a monster 2 lb Lobster Thermidor which was sublime. Not a single bad bite here. You could legit just eat this as your meal if you were by yourself. Added caviar to it, which was fantastic. A full sized is two lobsters. For my entree I went with the 5 oz A5 Wagyu and glad I did. Pretty much defined perfection. For sides I had the creamed corn, au gratin potatoes, and the Mac and cheese. Everything was - again - sublime perfection. The Baked Alaska was a great dessert, which key lime flavor which I love. I cannot say enough good things about this experience. To match and even exceed the expectations set by the price is astonishing. At this price it is nearly inconceivable that I will be happy and yet, I was happy. Lovely celebratory meal at M&F last night. It took a while for our table to be ready and for us to be seated, but the service was really friendly. The welcome bite and drink were excellent. All the food on the menu looked absolutely incredible, so it was hard for the group to figure out what to order... great problem to have since everything was so delicious! The team behind this establishment includes Husk, ,Minero, Delaney Oyster House and The James so you are in good hands and the food was reflective. Located at 480 East Bay Street there is plenty of parking and is housed in the corner spot of a mixed-use strip. Tons of light streams in due to the abundance of windows throughout the restaurant. This is not your typical dark and clubby feeling steakhouse so expect a bright and airy and open feeling here. Started with the three of the six options in the raw bar. Dressed oysters, tuna tartare, hamachi crudo. All three were refreshing. I could have had more of each and called it a night. We also got two orders of the soft shell crab special appetizer. This was delicious and in season. I did not want to share. For my main I got the Scottish salmon and we all split sides of Mac and cheese, mushrooms, and corn. OMG the corn knocked it out of the park!! Park creamed corn and part corn bread it had all the texture and all the flavor! So glad the waiter recommends it. I would pass on the mushrooms next time. The Mac and cheese was good. My two friends got the other two fish entrees. The tuna was excellent and both the my dining partners liked it best. It was too spicy for me. I loved my salmon best. The flounder was equally delicious. Bathroom super clean, nice music, great lighting. Service excellent. The baked Alaska dessert was fabulous! And a fun show to watch as they lit it on fire. Atmosphere interesting.... Way too bright at a 6pm reservation. But as the evening progressed, they dropped the lighting .and the sun set By 8pm it was perfect. We started off with a complimentary matcha gimlet and seafood dip which was so yummy. There's a large selection of wine and drinks - we tried a few cocktails and loved them. I guess that's how it works. He was nice and professional, but we felt like we were being rushed. The free little bytes, were just that, not something to remember, same with the free drink. This was a top tier experience from start to finish. We did not have a reservation and arrived a little after opening. Staff was most welcoming and accommodating. They advised we sit at the bar where they knew people were leaving shortly. && what a gorgeous bar and overall feel inside. I loved all the high windows allowing light in but not in your face. Such a great building. Will caution that there is limited parking, but a garage near by so we didn't have an issue. Jerry was our server and he was fantastic. Didn't rush us to order, answered all questions, and treated us wonderfully. He also brought Alice to help me pick the perfect bottle of wine that I unfortunately didn't photograph. I really enjoy trying multiple items on a menu when trying a new place, and Marbled and Fin did not disappoint on any dish. The scallops were cooked perfectly and were fresh. The luxury bites were just that, luxurious. An unexpected treat was the Ora King Salmon bite, the star of the three! We really enjoyed every dish, fresh and delicious. Tuna had a great texture, the Wagyu was cooked perfectly, all dishes were flavorful. Everything was utterly perfect. What a swanky, tasteful modern steakhouse! My boyfriend surprised me with a brunch to celebrate Valentine's Day early and what an experience! Allie took good care of us and the crew that brought our food and drinks were hospitable. The first appetizer we tried was the brunch caviar service..the paddlefish was a delight to enjoy with the eggs x3 on hash brown. I loved the creative spin on eggs done in three ways from the shaved egg yolk to the fricassee and chive garnish..that combo was a win with the brininess of the caviar! The second appetizer was the broiled oysters and bone marrow. I like how the team explained the best approach to enjoying the dish: start with the mini toast, slather on some marrow, and scoop the oyster on top with a squeeze of lemon juice. It was a symphony of flavor! For the second round of cocktails we both got the prairie ploe drink which is their take on Pims cup, another cocktail I don't see often here in Charleston! For entrees I got the bluefin tuna salad to which was zingy and zangy, another flavorful dish. I barely had enough room so they boxed it up nicely for me to take home. Our friends in Charleston made reservations here while we were in town. We walked in and the hostesses to waiters were all uniquely dressed to fit the restaurant decor. The steakhouse had a beautiful ambience with brass finishes and salmon colored, corduroy cushioned seats. They served us a matcha gimlet on the house, which was a great way to start off our meal there. My hubby and I shared 1/2 oysters along with lobster with tomahawk steak. The steak was stupendous. The lobster was a little heavy on the cream sauce . The wedge salad was tasty but also heavy on the dressing. I had my first baked Alaska, which was delectable and fun to watch. My Lychee cocktail was not as great as the gimlet. It was not heavy on the lychee flavor. Our servers were super attentive and professional from start to finish. There are nice, elegant meals and then there is Marbled & Fin. We had made reservations to celebrate the hub's birthday and spent a lot of time researching the menu and Yelp to determine what we wanted to order. Our server, Jackson, was amazing. He welcomed us with a complimentary cocktail which was sooo good. It was a gin based cocktail and neither of us like gin but this was sooo well blended that we forgot that there was gin in it. lol He then provided us with a first bite which was fennel flatbread with a whipped lemon ricotta and apricot jam. Aside from the flatbread being very salty, that whipped lemon ricotta was delicious! We started off with a stone crab claw which was the first time either of us had ever had stone crab and it was decadent! We then shared the A5 Miyazaki Wagyu, Ora King Salmon & Caviar Tart and Mae's Milk Bread. This was also the first time we've had wagyu and it was hard to decipher the flavors between the wagyu and the crispy rice. The Ora King Salmon & Caviar tart was rich, silky and oh so dangerously good! I could have made a meal out of those and Mae's Milk Bread which is in a whole different atmosphere than any bread I have ever had before. For our entree, we shared the Tomahawk steak, Au gratin potatoes and asparagus. Another first for us was having dry aged steak for the first time so why not go with the tomahawk and go big or go home. lol This steak just melted in our mouths. It had a little more char on it than we like so while it melted in our mouths, it was hard to taste the true flavor of the meat as it was overpowered by the char flavor. We ended the evening with complimentary sparkling wine which was such a perfect ending to an amazing evening. We were also served complimentary guava gummies from the pastry chef. While I know the complimentary cocktail, first bite and complimentary last bite from the pastry chef is something that they do for everyone, it is still such a nice and unexpected treat that just adds to the overall experience. From the moment we walked in, to the last goodbye - the entire staff made us feel so welcomed and as if we were the only ones there. That level of attention and care is what sets Marbled & Fin apart from their competition and we will most definitely be back time and again. Oh, I also wanted to mention that if you have any type of food allergy, they will work with you and modify dishes if they are able to or recommend alternatives if they are unable to modify a dish.
