We went to Marbella for their 50th anniversary prix fixe 3 course meal. The restaurant had a live harpist during dinner, which was so entertaining. The prix fixe includes a choice of appetizer, entree and dessert, all of which I believe are available on their regular menu. Bread and butter for the table was also served. The appetizers were delicious. The paella enttee is a standout. Our server plated it in front of our table for us. The rigatoni alla vodka was average. The flan tasted burnt but the raspberry cake was delicious, though the dessert portions were very small. For $35, the meal was worth the price. The service was just okay. Our server was a bit dour and slow. Overall, we would continue coming back.

I came back after not coming for years. I dont know why I waited so long because food was excellent. I especially enjoyed the paella and table side sangria.

I have to tell you the restaurant is gorgeous and the service is top notch excellent. The ambiance has a vintage kind of feel. We did not like the octopus it seemed to have been heated at a high heat which left it a bit undone inside - but everything else was top notch especially the dessert that was flambéd omg so amazing!!! My Espresso was also proper and amazing! The waiter offered to take a picture of our family as well.

We came here for a friend's birthday lunch--this Spanish restaurant has been around a long time and definitely has that old-world charm, though it could use a bit of an update. That said, the place was lively and packed, with lots of groups celebrating birthdays and graduations. The all-male waitstaff, dressed sharply in suits, were highly professional and provided attentive, courteous service throughout the meal. The food was a bit of a mixed bag. The three of us shared, the mussels in green parsley sauce which were huge and plump, but they had a slight fishy taste that took away from the dish. My friend couldn't eat them after taking one bite. Me and my husband on the other hand did eat them. She chose the French onion soup--which I wouldn't typically expect at a Spanish restaurant--but since the menu also included some Italian and American dishes, it wasn't too surprising. She was happy with her choice. The seafood paella with lobster was a generous portion and had good flavor, with a nice mix of mussels, clams, shrimp, and bay scallops. They serve it tableside, which adds a nice touch, but it's cooked in the kitchen--so the tableside service is purely for presentation. Unfortunately, there was no socarrat--the crispy rice at the bottom that's usually the best part. My friend also had the paella and noticed the same thing. My husband tried the shrimp-stuffed flounder in a white wine champagne sauce--the sauce was bland and the flounder was dry. The white sangria was just okay--not terrible, but nothing memorable. They do offer tableside service if you order a full pitcher, which is a nice touch, but since we each only wanted a glass, we didn't get that experience. Overall, it was a decent experience, but with a few tweaks in the kitchen and a refresh of the space, it could really shine again.

Excellent food and very attentive service. Authentic Spanish cuisine in our neighborhood. There were live harp music in the dining room, other nights feature guitar music, flamingo dancing. A real local gem.

The experience & the vibe is great, except for the 1 server who was inappropriate. The staff sang "happy bday" for us twice! The food can be better. We all chose dishes from the "Pre Fixe Special" which is from Tuesday Through Friday, 12pm- 6:30pm, $24.95 pp- 1 Appetizer & 1 entree. We got shrimp croquetas. I didn't taste the bechamel. There's a bit of minced shrimp in it. The amount of shrimp def should be increased. It was really dense & since it's deep fried, it felt dry w/o sauce. I can't believe it's served w/o sauce! Marinara wuda been perfect. We were given hot sauce when we asked. We also got : 1) salad 2) Pollo alla Madrid- Boneless Chicken Sautéed in Lemon & Wine Sauce 3) paella a la Valencia- Seafood, Chicken, Chorizo, Saffron rice 4) arroz con pollo-Chicken And Saffron Rice with Chorizo 5) Lenguado Al Jefe- Fillet Of Sole Stuffed with Crab, Shrimp & Lobster Sauce I only tried the latter entree. The rice had bell peppers, which was unexpected. If I'd known before, I def wuda said no bell peppers. I didn't like the sauce. The string beans on the side were very bland. I feel like the food didn't sit well with me, prolly cuz of the bell peppers. My coworker didn't like the arroz con pollo. The rice was hard, peas undercooked. She didn't like the cappuccino either. The other 2 coworkers enjoyed their food.

Always a good time at Marbella. Authentic Spanish food from Queens with a 19726pedigree. Make sure to order the crepes. Spanish coffee is no joke too.

Haven't been in years (previous experience was just ok), was craving paella so gave it another try. For apps we shared the Croquettes, Empanadillas de Carne and Queso, and the fried calamari. Sadly we didn't really enjoy our apps, the calamari was ok but the rest was not to our liking. The Paella Valenciana with lobster was flavorful however the shrimps were way over cooked (practically mush), and there was sand in the clams. Lobster was a tad overcooked as well. The Lobster and seafood casserole in a lobster sauce was tasty, the shrimps were cooked better than the paella but still had sand in the clams. As for service I wouldn't say any waiters were particularly friendly but the job was done. One particular waiter would start to answer a question, before he even finished he would basically walk away and say he'll handle it, when another waiter was nearby. It was odd and a bit dismissive. Unlikely we would return based on our below average meal and service.

Our waitress was responsive to whatever we needed. The prices are a little high for the portion size, but the food is great quality. My vinho verde was a nice size pour. My husband loved the Iberian ham here. We both had the garlic shrimp which were very well flavored but unfortunately didn't have even one garlic clove, which was disappointing and there were only 6 shrimp. The olive oil they were in was great though and we dipped our food into it and they were perfectly cooked. The paella is supposed to be for 2-4 people which I can see if you have more tapas but we finished it off. It came with a healthy amount of shrimp, grilled calamari and chorizo and was perfectly seasoned. We also appreciated how the rice was a bit crispy and not mushy. The table next to ours ordered what appeared to be a very good looking fruit cobbler of some kind but we were too stuffed for dessert. He unfortunately didn't love their version of fra diavolo because it has a ton of peppers. Otherwise it was tasty, he just picked out most of the peppers. You can tell she genuinely cares about people having a good experience, and that kind of service is rare. Her gin and tonic was perfectly balanced -- crisp, refreshing, and honestly one of the best I've had. And the green tea shots? Dangerous in the best way possible. Smooth, flavorful, and way too easy to keep ordering because they go down so well. Joyce makes them with consistency and a little extra flair that makes the whole experience feel special. Food-wise, I highly recommend the pork dumplings -- flavorful, perfectly cooked, and the ideal pairing with drinks. This was my second visit to Salumi, and somehow they managed to impress me even more this time…read morearound. I came back specifically to try their special Oktoberfest menu, and the entire experience was excellent from start to finish. One of the things I love most about Salumi is how knowledgeable the staff is. They really understand the menu, the drinks, and the pairings, and if you're willing to take their recommendations, they can completely elevate your experience. We started with their signature Old Fashioned made with Noah's Mill bourbon. They actually tested multiple bourbons to find the one they felt worked best in their recipe, and you can tell. It was extremely well balanced. The dry-rubbed chicken wings were fantastic and are fried in beef tallow, which I absolutely loved. They're served with an Alabama white sauce instead of the typical ranch or blue cheese, and I thought that was such a creative and delicious pairing. The figs and burrata were another standout. The creamy burrata, sweetness from the figs and pomegranate molasses, and little bit of heat from the jalapeño worked beautifully together. The spätzle was rich, creamy and comforting with Gruyère, caramelized onions and crispy onions on top. Definitely don't go into it expecting American-style mac and cheese because it's its own thing entirely. The bratwurst tasted nothing like anything you're buying at a supermarket, and the latkes were perfectly crispy. Their homemade applesauce was honestly one of my favorite parts of that plate -- I could have eaten an entire bowl of it. But the absolute star of the night was the Jägerschnitzel. This is a crispy bone-in pork chop with mushroom cream sauce and roasted cremini mushrooms. The pork is soaked in buttermilk before cooking, and it was incredibly moist and tender with a perfect crispy breading. Easily one of the best pork chops I've had in a very long time. We finished with the Black Forest Mess -- whipped mascarpone, brownie and Amarena cherries -- along with an excellent espresso martini. They grind fresh Georgios Coffee beans and pull a fresh shot of espresso for every martini, and if you actually love the taste of coffee, you'll appreciate this one. Salumi continues to be one of those restaurants where the staff truly helps make the experience. Don't be afraid to ask questions or ask for recommendations. They know their menu extremely well. If the Jägerschnitzel is still available when you visit, GET IT.

Overall, a great little spot with delicious food, good happy hour deals, and a fun atmosphere. I'll definitely be coming back!

I was at this location of this Basque and Spanish restaurant a while ago with a group, with their…read moreoriginal location being in Harlem. The table we sat at was quite large, and I think it could have fit a few more people. The staff was friendly, and the lighting wasn't too dark, nor was it too loud. While I liked the atmosphere, I found the food, or rather specifically the tapas, to be not good at best, while the main dishes were better but also ranged in quality. The fact that the tapas we ordered were pretty closely priced to the mains means I would recommend the mains only based on portion and taste alone. To drink, a bunch of us split a bottle of wine from their large and pretty reasonably priced selection. The first tapas that arrived was something that I could not eat. This was the Pulpo Zarautz for $32, listed as octopus with garlic and merken seasoning served over mashed baby potatoes. The dish was small, and people thought it was OK as they found the pieces of octopus a tad chewy. They liked the spices but were surprised that the potatoes were a bit cool. The $24 Gambas Al Ajillo, with slow-cooked prawns, white wine, EVOO, garlic, and mermen, was alright. There was a handful of shrimp, and they were decently cooked, but the "ajillo," or rather, the garlic, was very light. Therefore, I found it a bit bland, which is almost never the case for this dish. I wouldn't recommend this based on price and flavor. Last and least of the tapas was the $22 Tortilla De Patatas, listed simply as a Spanish omelette. There was an option to add chorizo for $2 more, which we did. Along with the omelette, this also arrived with a few sauces and some pieces of crunchy bread, which were the highlight, as the omelette wasn't good either. The texture of the omelette was very different than any other Spanish omelette I've ever had. It was quite soft with a bit of chew, with a mild chorizo flavor. Along with the greenish color, it wasn't exactly appetizing. I wouldn't recommend this at all, but thankfully, that was the last tapas we ordered. My favorite of the main dishes was the Solomillo & Pebre for $28, listed as skirt steak topped with parsley and olive oil, with hand-cut fried potato and salad. While not the most tender, as it is a skirt steak, it was still well-flavored with the topping almost reminding me, to an extent, of a less oily version of chimichurri. The potatoes had a unique texture, being slightly crispy on the outside while remaining slightly soft in the middle. The salad on the side, which also arrived with one of our other mains, was a tasty mix and certainly more effort than a typical salad you find in many of these places. We also liked the $32 Costillas De Cerdito, with pork ribs in beer, mustard, and rosemary with hand-cut fried potato and salad. The pork ribs were flavorful, though I did find a bit of it to be a bit fatty, but some of that is expected with pork ribs. The mildly sweet and slightly rich sauce paired with the pork ribs. The same comments from before can be made about the potatoes and salad. Last was the OK Paella De Mariscos for $38, listed as rice cooked with shrimp, mussels, clams, prawns, and fresh saffron. The portion size was good, with a lot of mussels and clams in particular, and a handful of shrimp. Of the bite I had of the two large prawns, they were plump and juicy as well. However, the rice was both a bit bland and a tad mushy and felt a bit overcooked compared to many other paellas. There was some socarrat on the bottom as per usual, which was the best part. It's a bit difficult to rate this place. The spices, textures, and flavors were lacking from the overpriced tapas, and I honestly wouldn't recommend any of them. For the main dishes, they were tasty, but you can get a better-cooked skirt steak at many other places for a similar price. The ribs were decent, and the paella was just OK. If we only had the tapas, I probably would be giving this place a 1, but for the whole meal, an upper 2, rounded up.

Wow it's not often I run home after going somewhere and want to write a review immediately due to…read morebeing THAT satisfied with service! I got recommended this place by two friends and knew the pictures looked fun from the slide and ball pit but thats all I knew about it. Fast forward months later to today we were looking for a play place that is indoors and open on a holiday. We had issues with booking tickets on the website - it wouldn't let us enter credit card information... a few phone calls later and playing around with it, I think you need an account for it to let you enter credit card. They assured me with18 spots left it probably wouldn't be an issue to just show up but I like to have a reservation in advance. After going there, I really wonder the amount of people they allow in... while I figured it was 20 at a time, it felt like more than that and I was dodging people often. Just glad the site worked eventually. Anyway I had the impression we were supposed to get there 15-20 minutes early to sign the waiver even though I was pretty sure I already did.. plus why not an extra min to get settled or whatever. I panicked because even 9:59am the big lock was still on the door.. for a 10am reservation. Guess there was no rush whoops (and I'm never on time to anything!! We must have been excited..). I didn't want to waste a minute of my daughter tearing this place apart during the 10am-12pm session we booked. What was nice was on my bracelet they had me wear, they said expiration time 12:10 so I think they account for the 10 minutes it takes for them not being open right when your session starts. I was impressed from the second we got there with how carefully crafted this place was. It truly is a wonderland... not only the huge slide right into the huge ballpit but each little area of the castle had a little something to discover (i.e. a doctor's station, a baby care taking station, dress-up area, lego area, pretend supermarket, etc). Then there were more and more slides and surprise a bounce house and a rock climbing wall and little merry go round. All ages in their range could find something for sure. They are not strict with just staying on the upper or lower level which was SOOO nice just to mix it up after an hour or so. My daughter loved everything, can't even tell you a favorite but the big slide definitely was where we spent the most time and got the most squeels of excitement. Their cafe has very kid friendly options. It is so nice they offer this because otherwise it really limits how long you can stay to play. Also just a tip - when you subscribe to the emails, the owner will give you the first cup of coffee on her :) This was a treat - and it tasted good too! I think its pretty awesome they are in other locations like Jackson Heights and just opened in Massapequa. The cooler thing is that they aren't even exact replicas of each other so if I do head to the Massapequa location like we originally wanted to, it will look a little different and be a little bit of a difference experience (not that my daughter or any kid cares... a slide is a slide!).
