I started with a glass of Red Sangria and was blown away by the size. The glass was almost the size of the Bryant Park fountain, the Sangria was sweet and refreshing, and the fruit was abundant. I ordered two tapas: Croquetas de Jamon Serrano (Ham Croquettes) and the Albondigas (Meatballs). The croquettes were nicely presented, I enjoyed the sauces that adorned each croquette, they had a slightly crunchy outer layer, and the serving was four. The meatballs were amazing. Each ball was flavorful, the serving was EIGHT!, and the accompanying sauce was succulent and was enough to fill every piece of bread. For dessert, I had the EZ Flan. This Flan was LARGE enough to share, thick, and the sweet syrup at the bottom of the plate was delicious. The final item was a Cafe con Leche (Coffee with milk). EZ Paella skyrocketed to my #1 choice for tapas and cannot wait to return with friends, so they can echo my adoration of this eatery. I'm so glad I found this place. They opened at 4 PM and I arrived about 4:10 PM. My friend and I were the first guests in the restaurant so they allowed us to pick our seat. I never order cocktails when I go out because I don't drink but my friend picked two really good drinks, the lychee martini & coquito passion. I actually enjoyed them both, but the coquito passion was my favorite. I'm sure it had something to do with the coconut rum. We both settled on the 3-course prix fixe pre-theatre menu for $60/person. Here's everything we ordered. Tuna poke taquitos - It was three mini tuna tacos. The shell was some kind of crispy fried goodness. I don't think it was a wonton, but something similar to it. The tuna was topped with red onions, chives, and wasabi aïoli. These were melt in your mouth delicious. For this menu, it's only an order of three, but the regular appetizer comes with four. I could've easily eaten 4-5 of these by myself. They were that good. Crispy calamari - It was perfectly fried and well seasoned. I love calamari but I've never had it like this before. It was tossed with fried plantains, fresh red onion and cherry tomatoes, and shishito peppers. Who knew calamari and fried plantains went well together? The peppers were a really nice touch. I believe they were coated in a little oil and some herbs and/or spices. Whatever they did to those peppers, I wish they would've done to the red onion and cherry tomatoes as well. Steak frites - My friend ordered this dish. I just had a little piece of the steak with the peppercorn sauce and a few fries. No complaints but we both liked my entree more. Mediterranean ocean trout - For me, this dish was the star of the show. The trout was cooked just right; nice and flaky with crispy skin just how I like it. Underneath the fish were veggies, chickpeas, and plateful of the chunky tomato sauce. My goodness it tasted like they grew the tomatoes out back and made the sauce from scratch. It was so flavorful and I'm glad there was enough sauce for me to have some with each and every bite of the dish. I cleaned the plate. I've had trout a lot of ways, but never paired with tomato sauce. I feel deprived. Cheesecake Brulé - If you like crème brûlée, you'll love this cheesecake. The caramelized sugar crust was delicious. Strawberries are one of my favorite fruits so having a whole layer on top was a plus. Not only was the food amazing but so was the ambience and the service. Our waitress Carla took such great care of us. We even got a chance to chat with Victor, one of the owners. He shared that they've only been open for 4 months. He was so kind and humble as we shared how much we enjoyed all the dishes and wished him success. He even brought us some champagne. My wife and son both ordered from RW menu and chose the boeuf bourgigninon which was so delicious, very tender beef and smooth mashed potatoes. We decided to also order escargot and French onion soup. Our service was just amazing from Anna our main server and the support servers who brought out our orders and to those who made sure our glasses were never empty. Anyway. Marseille begins the meal with the most excellent bread service. A fresh, hot sourdough roll is placed upon your table, along with herbed butter and oil. I could make a meal out of that bread alone. My cousin and I split the mushroom ravioli as an appetizer - a little salty, but excellent. The flavors were very well balanced and six was a good number for a dinner portion. We actually opted for the French onion soup as out main, and it was probably the best French onion soup we've ever had. There was also so much, we could not finish it. My Francais G&T was unbelievably good and came with a cornichon. Actually, shout out to our busser (I wish I got his name!) who accidentally took my drink-pickle away and had the waiter bring over more to make up for it. It was such a kind gesture and he deserves to be awarded for his attention to detail. (The wait staff overall was excellent. Kudos to the tall waiter with the snake ring and the shorter waitress with the great eyebrows. Again, I wish I got their names!) The sausage also came with purple grapes, as well as a piece of carrot. Sausage was succulent, juicy, and well seasoned. It was a perfect dipper for the fondue. I would have also liked to have potatoes with it, but each additional ingredient were priced a la carte, so would have to pay more. I wasn't really a fan of that set up and think that each fondue should have included more than just bread. Service was solid. Our waiter was personable and helpful. We were well taken care of throughout. Prices were reasonable, though fondue can get a little up there, depending on what you order with it. I would be open to returning to try the Cheeseburger.
