The cupcakes tasted amazing, too! The cake part wasn't super-moist, so it held its shape and tasted great, but the frosting was the real star. I and the other non-vegans at the party couldn't tell that they were vegan, and our host was delighted to know that there is a bakery nearby that caters to her needs. I'll definitely be coming back to try the regular cupcakes soon!

I bought the banana cream for a work event and a few minis to take home for me and my hubby. The banana cream was good-admittedly, it was more on the sweeter side than I expected. I really enjoyed the crust - it wasn't too buttery and cooked perfectly. It was def a hit. My hubby and I enjoyed sampling the blueberry, apple, and cherry crumble. Of the three, the apple was my favorite which actually surprised me. The blueberry was OK, not as sweet as I would have liked - opposite of the banana cream. And the cherry was perfectly tart-I really appreciated the crumble. All in all, I will def be back. Can't wait to follow their social media to see what the monthly specials are. She's smart, likeable, and a talented chef and author. And her places are cozy inviting (props for the complimentary newspapers) in an efficient way. But even with many tries, I've never been wowed-- as I keep hearing I should-- by the pastries. -- Sticky Bun: I've had this a few times and it's been perfectly adequate, but never adequately perfect. Even heated, it hasn't felt fresh. Adequate to pretty good, yes. Raveworthy, no. -- Blueberry Muffin: Had this at least four times. A few years ago, it used to be so overloaded with blueberries (not a bad thing) that they seemed to be forgetting about the (again adequate) dough. My two most recent tries, including this week, had far fewer blueberries, a cold feel one time and a stale texture this time. Adequate to pretty good, yes. Raveworthy, no. -- Pain Swisse: Like the love child of a croissant and a Boston cream donut, a beast of a pastry with chocolate and custard inside. Decent texture, reasonable price, somewhat chocolatey flavor on multiple tries over the past few years. Adequate to pretty good, yes. Raveworthy, no. -- Coffee: Decent. -- Service: Never had a problem. I always check the rest of the case to see if there are any noteworthy things worth purchasing. I didn't see anything that looked particularly appealing or fresh. Look, it's better than Dunkin and Panera, and who doesn't like a pastry, even at that level? But is it better than even Caffe Nero or Tatte? I'm not so sure. Better than Bakey or Praline or Michette or Colette? For me, it's not even close, and that's why it's a 3. Adequate to pretty good gets a 3.
