I wish I could give 10 stars! My key got stuck in my apartment door one day, so I was locked out. My landlord was conveniently unavailable and the building management company basically told me that I was out of luck and had to call a locksmith myself. Thankfully! I called the right one. Bjorn was at my door in less than 15 minutes (I live on Capitol Hill) and got me in my door quickly after that. He explained to me the issue and how I could prevent it from happening again until my landlord decided to fix it. Also gave me heads up of what to tell my landlord so I didn't sound like an idiot trying to explain the problem. It was pretty stuck and the key broke in the process yet he even made me a new one and I was good to go! Because of my landlords AWESOME ability to not answer phone calls and emails, this was a huge lifesaver. What started as a huge inconvenience to my day ended so successfully I don't know why I was so annoyed for being locked out in the first place. Bjorn is a professional. Maple Leaf Locksmiths are 5 star all the way. I only discovered this after nearly being completely ripped off by a competitor, http://247seattlelocksmith.com. Their web page said that entering a home lock would cost $15 for transportation and $35, with an asterisk. The asterisk said "unforeseen complications MAY ARISE at the site and further changes to prices may occur..." The 247 competition arrive and said he would have to use two air wedges to get some space and unlock it that way. If that didn't work, he would have to break the handle off, and he would have a different quote for that. He couldn't pick the lock. "Not one with this type of handle." He said it would be $190. I said I wanted to call someone. I called Maple Leaf. Bjorn said the would do it for a little more than half that. When I told the 247 guy, he said "How much he quote? I check with office. " I told him that I wasn't interested. Bjorn was prompt arriving, picked the supposedly unpickable lock in less than five minutes, and was on his way without any drama or damage. Bjorn was the most responsive of all the locksmiths I contacted. He quickly returned my call, gave me a competitive estimate, and seemed a lot more confident that my problem could be solved than other providers did. Bjorn came out and took care of my problem before I even got calls back from the other locksmiths. Bjorn picked the lock to a 100+ year old steamer trunk - restoring functionality - and made me a new key! He also repaired and made a key for some old mortise locksets in my home. I really appreciated how real he was with me - he ended up charging me less than his initial bid (which was already competitive), and he was kind, relatable, and treated me with respect and fairness. I called Maple Leaf Locksmith to re-key my entire house. The previous owner had a mishmash of different keys and locks. I didn't feel secure with this and was tired of fumbling around in the dark to find the right two keys to get into my house. Bjorn was friendly and knowledgeable. He arrived when he said he would and had six locks consolidated to one key within an hour. My keycode / deadbolt lock was not a problem for him. I was charged exactly what I was quoted for the job. With two different locksmith / lockout companies in the past, I have had very bad experiences. They show up hours late, then demand a price much higher than quoted because my locks are "special" (they aren't!), and shadily demand cash. Maple Leaf Locksmith was a breath of fresh air! I was at a local pot smoking event in Fremont, and SOMEHOW locked my keys in my car. I decided mexican food may help ease the pain of my dilemma, and headed to a tasty spot to figure out my situation. I recently became a smart phone owner, which I found to be double+ helpful, and was able to do some searching while I enjoyed my burrito. Anyhow, I called around and found this guy, who sounds awesome on the phone. He was willing to give me a deal, due to how highlarious my story was. When we met up, he easily made his way in (I had a feeling an '02 toyota wouldn't be much of a challenge), and I was back to bongs and blunts in no time. This wasn't the first time Bjorn saved our day, so this review should really count for two... We lost our mail keys and I was waiting for tickets to a baseball game. We called Bjorn the day before the game and he fixed our lock in literally 10 minutes. He's amazing and responsive. And the baseball game wouldn't have happened without him. Bjorn's also an electronic combination lock specialist! We bought a auto-locking system for our front door - we were tired of worrying about remembering our keys going out on walks, stepping outside to let the dog out - those little errands. My purse was stolen with my keys inside. I couldn't get into my room in the house I live in so my mom and I called Maple Leaf Locksmith hoping they could come out within the hour and possibly over change us for 5 mintues of work. Instead we got a very nice man on the phone who walked us through tricks to open it ourselves. He even waited as my mom tried the credit card trick for a minute or two. When we admitted our defeat and asked for someone to come out we continued trying the credit card trick and we finally got in! We called back to cancel and asked if we could pay the man for his time but he declined and congratulated us on learning a new skill. Love this locksmith! Okay, all I can say is that Maple Leaf Locksmith is amazing!! My roommate finally moved out of my house, after what was about to turn into a legal nightmare. (You know, not paying rent, possible eviction... you get the picture.) I was really freaked out, even though she gave me the key back, that she might have made duplicates. So I took the deadbolt core out and headed around the corner to the local locksmith. He was over in Bellevue and couldn't get to it for hours, I was beginning to get frantic. I locked myself out of my apartment this morning. After a few other locksmiths were either closed or unwilling to make the journey to Cap Hill since route 99 is closed, another locksmith passed my info on to Maple Leaf. They called me seconds later, and said they would come out all the way from Bellevue (and gave me a concrete price!), but suggested that since it would be an hour and a half that I try using a credit card to open the door. I was successful, and am so grateful that these folks appear to be in the business of helping people rather than trying to make a quick buck.... none of the other people I called offered any advice or a concrete price. If my newfound credit card key ever fails me, Maple Leaf will be the first place I call. read more

Bjorn was simple amazing. Of the few times I've been unfortunate enough to lock myself out and need a locksmith, Bjorn has hands down been the best experience I've encountered. He was prompt in answering my call, arriving at my house, and unlocking my door. Most 24/7 locksmiths will scam you out of hundreds of dollars, hours to arrive, and are not pleasent to deal with in a somewhat stressful situation. Bjorn was the complete opposite. Locked myself out last night with my dog who was off his leash, an hour before we were supposed to be to a concert we had tickets for. Other locksmiths were quoting me $200 and an hour and a half wait. This locksmith answered on my first call and said he could be there in about 15 minutes. He arrived on time and charged me less than half the price the others were quoting. Very friendly and personable. A very stressful experience but he handled the situation timely which reduced my anxiety! Made it to the concert on time and had a great time!!! On the way out to dinner, and while my mom who is visiting was getting ready, i went down to the parking area of my condo complex to take out the recyclables. My mom locked the door from the inside and followed me downstairs, not knowing that I hadn't picked up the keys yet. Not only was Maple Leaf the cheapest by 30% of the three locksmiths I called for a quote, he recommended i try opening the lock by swiping a credit card. It worked! Bjorn was a lifesaver! I was house/dog sitting for a coworker (who is out of state) and locked myself out. I called Bjorn and the process was as simple as texting him the address and him showing up 20 minutes later. I was worried that he was not going to let me in the house, since it was not my place, but he was very understanding about the situation. He was thorough and checked my ID that was in my purse, in the house, when we got in. Price was $85, I don't have much experience with this, but it seemed reasonable. He was very kind and prompt. I mostly chose Maple Leaf Locksmith because they offer better prices than other local locksmiths. But, after having them come out I can say that they are better in many ways. Bjorn of Maple Leaf Locksmith is very professional, down to earth, pleasant and easy to work with. He came out in less than an hour to install my new lock and made it work with my current keys. I also asked him to make sure the lock on my other door was fine and he assured me it was after looking at what kind of hardware holds it in place. Bjorn offered the best overall rates--service call, labor and parts. He showed up to my door on time and assessed the job. He said it would be even less expensive than he quoted by phone. He not only installed a new lock for my slider but fixed another separate mechanism that was not working efficiently. I realized a few minutes after he left that I needed one more hole drilled for what I wanted. He offered to return as soon as my schedule allowed to drill the hole with no extra fee! ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. I called late at night because I was locked out of my room in my apartment, and had and immediate answer. When I had asked the cost of what it was to unlock the door, he told me but quickly followed up by saying that he could offer me free advice!! With the advice he gave me, I was able to instantly save my money and learn how to unlock my door!! HE IS AMAZING!! A great locksmith. Appointment was set for 2:30pm but Bjorn called at 1:15pm and said he was running an hour early, wondering if it would be okay if he just came by then. Of course! Our office got locked out of our utilities closet without a key, and within 15 minutes, the door was open, two brand new keys were made for the door, and Bjorn even asked if we wanted the keys to be able to unlock any other doors as well.
